South Pole Mun anomaly? Is this new for .17?
-
Funnily enough, I'm sure I've seen a Hadron Kerman at some point. To get to 'Hardon' from 'Hadron' you just need to switch two letters around...

Orbital Mechanics 101 - A Kerbal Space Program Tutorial
Jay_Em replied to pebble_garden's topic in KSP1 Tutorials
Your videos are really useful, thanks. I hope you release some on interplanetary maneuvers some time. -
A map of the moon with Points of Interest marked would be really useful. Does such a map exist anywhere?

in orbit around mun - how to come back? also parachutes
Jay_Em replied to draeath's topic in KSP1 Discussion
As for parachutes, I know what you mean. I find that if you adjust the angle loads, and move the parachute slowly towards the nose, it should snap into place as before. It doesn't always work first time, try getting more acute angles and slow movements. Hope this helps. -
Oh ok, thanks.

I've got a ship in orbit around the Mun, and I want to land near the Armstrong tribute. Only problem is, I don't where it is. Could anyone help me locate it? Cheers, Jay_Em.

[UNOFFICIAL/FANMADE] 0.18 Discussion thread
Jay_Em replied to kacperrutka26's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I don't like having to wait ages for docking, but I understand why we're going to have to. However, I'd love it for Squad to add some kind of rover in 0.18. I don't think this would take huge amounts of time to implement (please correct me if I'm wrong here), and would really affect how the game works in terms of planetary exploration. Think about it- rescue missions would be a lot easier because you wouldn't have to get an exact landing point, you could explore much more easily, and it's just a fun thing to do. So basically, if I could demand one thing from 0.18, it would be rovers. Out of interest, is anything definitely being worked on for 0.18? -
I did this yesterday. Stuck on the side facing away from Jool as well, kilometres from land. Would be awesome if you could add little inflatable rafts to your ship for Kerbals to use in splashdowns.
-
Has anyone flown straight upwards from the pyramid? That seems to be the next logical step. Might be something in geostationary orbit.
-
The only performance issues I have are when I launch (due to my 200 part ship) and coming in and out of orbit. Oh, and the Space Cthulhu tore my ship apart just after coming out of warp in Jool intercept. I hate this game sometimes.
-
I feel silly asking for things from 0.18 having only downloaded 0.17 yesterday, but, what the heck. -Definitely a faster warp for those interplanetary journeys to Jool. If they do add planets further away, they're gonna have to add this really. -I'd also appreciate a display of the angles of other planets, so I don't have to hold my protractor up to my screen. -A bigger command pod would be nice, but not essential. -Also, rovers. Even if it's just one type, it's currently impossible to explore planets properly after landing. Something that can be attached to and deployed from your ship, perhaps with room for a Kerbal, would be ace. -DOCKING! I don't like to demand things from the developers, but this is a much needed feature. Some kind of orbital module, which you attach to your ship in the VAB and then deploy once in orbit would also be great. Obviously you'd have to put the Kerbals into it once it's in orbit.

Honestly Harvester, why isn't 0.18 out! We've been waiting like 7 and a half minutes! I want a refund!
-
Yes. Yes! YESSSSS! Apologies for Size 7 text, but i think I speak on behalf of the whole forum.

I've got three brave Kerbonauts stranded in a capsule on Minmus. I can get two back in a rescue rocket, but not the third. The only idea I had for him was if I extend a ladder and have him cling on for dear life. Obviously this wouldn't work in real life, but this is the Kerbiverse, surely this has a chance of success?
-
This is a good point. Although you'll need two sets of parachutes for landing back on Kerbin. I remember reading something about .18 having another 3 or 4 planets. Is this correct?
-
I only noticed the bottom one, thanks for pointing that out. Yes, it must be something like that.
-
If you zoom in really close, it's a weight symbol. On it is a circle with opposite quarters coloured yellow.
-
You're probably right.
-
Has it been announced what the new part on the left is? I don't recognise it.
-
I like how your orbital craft is plane like. I'm gonna try making one like that now.
-
Ok, that sounds very useful.
-
Just wondering, what particular applications will the NERVA have?

.17 gets better with everything I hear about it.

As Panichio said, being 'late' doesn't matter. This is a great video, well done.
