  2. The judge should never interfere with the battle, even to fix a glitch. That issue was vaused by a missing module on the AI antenna, there os a patch for it somewhere on this thread.
  3. I hace to yet watch this last battle. But if an airplane flees from the battle it's up to the judge to assume that as a win for the opposing team. When running battles myself that only happened once, and I performed a rematch just to make sure. Luckly the match only lasted for about an hour, before the weight removal phase my craft could fly for more than 9 hours straight

  5. I understand, I am not judging you, but sometimes something that "seems wrong" may not be that wrong after all. It is very hard to achieve such kills, and if you feel that is exploitable you can simply design your craft to do that, but let me tell you, it's not, and an airplane designed for sniping won't do well if it fails. This basically turns this practice into taking the risk for it, which is exactly what every other strategy is about, it's just another one of them. Along these lines the same would have to be said for airplanes which set their flight altitude very high, or are highly maneuverable, how unfair is it that you can out-turn your opponents About starting fields, some BAD-T 2 battles were not even using the BDArmory's combat starter mode thingy, both teams simply had their pilots started on the runway and were left to battle. This did not change the outcome at all, only made battles take a while longer to start. In fact, increasing the distance will give great unfair advantages to certain strategies, I have tested it.
  6. If you really want competitive jets simply buff their engines by 20%. I recommend testing them a lot before having them fight with propeller airplanes, remember that they are historically superior. Another fun idea would be going a step further in time, and having a end-ww2 BAD-T using only jets and powerful props.
  7. This would the first step towards screwing up everything related to balance. What makes BAD-T fun and fair is the fact that it was never a "replica battle", but an airplane battle. The engineering limits are given by the physical properties of the craft, rules only serve to cut out edge cases and sanitize the game, they don't enforce a strict playstyle. Artificially adjusting the rules to "make D engines useful" or "make crafts spawn far away" or "ignore first enconter kills" artificially disrupt the environment the tournament is built upon. There are several other dogfight tournaments, really good ones, but ask yourself why there hasn't been any other tournament that was as successfuly balanced as BAD-T always was. Same principle applies for the weapons. I have crunched the numbers countless times (before BDA changes) and there are in fact better weapons than others. Now if you ask me, no, I did not pick the overall best, I paid the price to gain some slight boost in other properties. Being weaker makes my weapon less suitable? Not at all. No rule or battle setup requires major adjustments. Some things did, and Suicidal nailed it when applying those changes. Now if it was to become something else, then it's not going to be BAD-T.
  8. @aleksey444 well, on the previois BAD-T versions the judge is allowed to make whichever modifications required to make the craft fill the rules according to what is deemed necessary. I would take that as a small punishment for breaking a rule.
  9. Yes, challonge is pretty good. @DoctorDavinci are you running the second tier brackets again? It's pretty cool that we got many unconventional airplanes, glad to see the "fight bravely and die gloriously" part being taken seriously
  10. The Elkow-6 Told you it's awful yet cool. Yes those wings bend a lot, I actually compensated that structurally and adjusted the variable roll rate with wing load. Basically some minor aeroelasticity gimmicks.

  12. Actually, I remember your issue comes from having the mod on the wrong folder. Maybe you extracted it and it got nested on another folder or something like that. I used it on 1.3.1 and everything worked just fine.
  13. That is clearly an issue with your dll. You are probably using an old version of the mod, remember you should use BDArmory Continued, not the original one by bahamutod.
  14. @BlueDragon1504 you are looking at the wrong place. First, AA weapons are not from BahamutoDynamics but by Roaken Corporation. Second, under the normal menu tabs check the BDArmory tab and scroll to the bottom. And make sure you are using the correct version of BDarmory Continued.
  15. @aleksey444 look, if you are doing math, you are doing it wrong. Imagine the nightmare if every airplane had its mass computed and compensated by hand. And that wouldn't even matter because if the mass is being accounted it counts as craft dry weight, regardless of being a kerbal or whatever else. Mass should simply be read after removing every resource (fuel and ammo) from the aircraft, launching it and checking it out on the map view. The mass reported on the hangar shouldn't matter at all but help on knowing how far from this threshold you are. So, in the case you reported it's 2.5 tons and that's it.
  16. @aleksey444 1&2- it should be the airplane on a "flyable" state, so yeah, kerbal and boxes weight count too. The official dry weight should be the one measured on the map view after launch (according to BAD-T 2). 3- as much as you want, as long as it doesn't run out of fuel. 4- probably UTC, but using your own timezone should be ok.

  19. Ok, mine is on the final stages of the setup. That thing looks super weird, it always seems like there is something wrong with it, but wrongly amusing. Only slightly worried about its roll rate, but nothing that cannot be fixed.

  21. Got some very weird design running, it also looks awfully awesome. Now to the tweaks and testing to turn it into a death machine.
