  1. I made a quick google search for more ref. material, so if you ever do this hopefully you won't lack data/inspiration(you might find the UR-530 tower and the LK-700 tower better-looking, and some artistic license in a stockalike mod isn't exactly a problem ) http://www.astronautix.com/graphics/t/tksdh1.jpg http://www.astronautix.com/graphics/z/ztksles1.jpg http://www.b14643.de/Spacerockets_1/East_Europe_2/Proton/Gallery/TKS_16.jpg https://falsesteps.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/lk-700.jpg http://www.friends-partners.org/mwade/graphics/t/tksdwg.jpg http://www.astronautix.com/graphics/u/ur5xxalm.jpg
  2. By the way, did I actually read, 2 or 3 pages ago, that there will be a Pirs?
  3. Beale, I love your old ALV parts. And the new ones too. And I think I will call this ludicrously huge, 7 V-II-segment-4800+ton-launcher Kruhovyanka in your honor:
  4. I'd go with something lower (the "belt", I mean), and gray like the rest of the craft... And as you're redoing these docking ports anyway, would you mind adding a big female port (the same way the big male port works with a tapered plate)
  5. Hmm, interesting design. Could make some sort of Proto-Zond. Or, if somewhat stretched, the L4+service compartment. PS:The abstracted one looks way better.
  6. The shorter nozzles are a lot better! Outstanding work Beale! And the new Soyuz capsule... wow! Now I'd like to make my own Zond mission...
  7. While it's pretty... I like the hidden, old RCS nozzles more. Might be only me. (PS:Mine should ferry 6 cosmonauts to the Aelita/TKM, and then bring them back to Earth safely at ludicrous reentry speeds from a Mars-Earth trajectory... So I think the similiar features are mainly name- and looks-based, sadly.)
  8. Ahh, I didn't make a real R-6A. That's my N-IIIF (can't really lift the 15mt thingy into orbit, but I only wanted a fully ballistic reentry test anyway)
  9. Beale, outstanding work! That's a tremendous increase in skill visible in that picture (Could we... exchange some LK related files? *nudge nudge wink wink*)
  10. Hmm, I already dislike the way the Soyuz instrument section is white while the rest of the craft is gray, so I can't say I really like this color scheme. The models, however, are gorgeous as always!
  11. I think I found something hillarious: "This would seem to be easy, but soviet era measurements standard were as mysterious as thier political system. By their very nature, they seemed to conflict. The height wouldn't match with the width, the cabin measurements wouldn't match the height or width, and the Block E engine didn't match with any of the aforementioned measurements." http://lunniykorabl.blogspot.com/
  12. I highly doubt Beale would make 'em as un-modular and tightly modelled as BobCat's - 64% RL size isn't really pursued here, nodes don't have weird sizes etc. However, Beale, if I may suggest: Please use Igla instead of Kontakt. Sure Kontakt was used IRL, but do we really need 2 seperate docking systems in your mod? Oh, and beautiful Zenit parts! (PS:Adding some camera lenses to the lander would be really cool... to replicate the awesome shots Veneras did) EDIT:Maybe keep the original design as some kind of "Yangels dream" had the N-I been able to mount a 3-man expedition, with 2 seats. Yours really is somewhat bigger, so why not? EDIT2:Did it really take me 20 minutes for this post so I got ninja'd? Men am I tired...
  13. Oh man that Venera is really beautiful! I'd say white suits it best. (regarding the N-IM: it did reach orbit with a full N-I Blok V fuel tank as payload. I didn't really have the time to build a proper 250-290 ton payload for it yet... tho progress is made at the OKB-1 regarding the TMK* and the Mars lander "Sever") *which in itself is a 2-launch 6-man Mars landing mission... thanks N-IM V-II,-III for that payload you offer!
  14. I like it! Especially the narrative part and the launch sequence! Good choice of pictures and well crafted fairings, too! And that delay from the original launch was masterful! However, I have some criticism aswell: In my opinion, slowing it down a tad might be good. Whilst launching Objekt D right away certainly was amazing, I personally would've enjoyed a "struggle update" before it. For example with the R-5 "Pobeda". Let's see how Kerbomey and Kishin turn out, especially as we haven't seen anything of Kushko. Now who will be the classical carrieristic egoistic arrogant pile of steaming... ugh, you get my point.
  15. First post, page 316 I can the into album, but too much wörk, not enough gainings. (Hopefully that actually was a polandball engrish reference) Also, I didn't want to clog the thread up with too much of my poop.
  16. Beale, the N-IM actually does fly! ^^ http://imgur.com/a/SWjbj#0 (Sure, it needs a couple 12kN linear RCS thrusters to keep it in-line, but I think that's perfectly fine for a 5200 ton rocket. Especially one made in such an unconventional way...)
  17. MAKS? Bwah, not even 0.1% Chelomei enough for the real spaceplane fan. The real spaceplane fan uses PKA and LKS. (with the latter one being paritcularly interesting... a Proton sized Kliper, 40 years earlier)
  18. Base stuff? Interesting. Too bad there's barely any info about them, just some sketches on astronautix. I can already see myself building the Pechorin* Lunar Base... (Maybe 2020 if we're lucky? ^^) *reference to the best literary character of the 19th century EDIT:And regarding IVAs: Maybe take some inspiration from this and standardize on it? http://andegraf.com/f501.htm# EDIT2: Or these: http://andegraf.com/f504.htm
  19. Hmm, I already congratulated you on one topic so I won't clog this one up too... ahh for the heck of it... Beautiful work! Long live AB "Kalentin Kushko" Engineering Limited! Lunar stuff? Maybe a working Lunokhod? (Then again, making a rover is rather precarious and doesn't fit the current theme of your pack... ahh, I'd still like it) As for revamping older parts... I have Slitherines "Buzz Aldrin Space Program Manager" installed on my PC, and it has a good shot of the LK lunar landers engines, so maybe you could use that? IMO, all other parts are already perfect. Well okay, except that Progress looks too different compared to Soyuz. PS: Danke für die Blumen, Niemand PPS: Sabaton? Well now I like you even more.
