  1. Thank you, nerdboy Well, cool names are not required. A FRT means, that you choose a special path on your way to the mün. Should your engine fail near the mün (not a real threat in KSP, but very real in reality), so that you cannot achieve orbit, a FRT makes sure that you fall back into kerbin atmosphere instead of difting of into space It looks like this: You didn't post a screenshot of you trajectory to the mün, so I can't tell what you used. However, you forgot you base 30 points, so without FRT you have 143 points Anyways: Did anybody see the NAM in .21? I haven't spottet it yet....
  2. Actually I realy enjoy COD and I am an active player Yes, yes - it's not realistic. I started playing FPS with Quake 2...talking about being unrealistic. It's not supposed to be realistic - it's supposed to be fast paced fun. Thats all. However, I do admit, that the community is crap and quite anti-social... Back to topic: Yes, the reaction is somehow similar - although KSP Fans seem to be able to put their thoughts across in a much more humane manner...
  3. After flying my first mün-mission in .21 I'd say we will simply have to adapt to the new system. My new rockets will have more RCS - it's realy usable now and not just for docking. I'd say - try flying with the new ASAS for a week. Mayme some minds will change...
  4. Well, I realy cannot see your problem. I've build this thing here to test the new SAS. Note the single radialy mounted engine, this thing should drift off, but as long as it has electricity this thing will stay on target. If I disable all reaction wheels and enable RCS it will stay on target using RCS-fuel.
  5. I know, this sound stupid, but the only thing that helped my landers to survive their parachutes is: more struts
  6. Awesome - thats our third entry with full points
  7. I strongly suggest, you go to the controls and assign new controls for rover steering (I use numpad 4,5,6 and 8), so your commandpod does not apply torque when you try to drive your rover. Yeah, I also needed some time to wrap my head around rover construction. But here are a few sceenshots that might help you. An early, compact design with rcs An unmanned long range rover, you can build a chassis with Modular Girder Segments An manned long range rover, I used a Mk 1 Lander Can as core and a command seat for driving. This way the navball point in the actual direction you are driving. Two lightwight rovers - they basically consist out of 2 M-1x1 Structural Panel, four wheels, one rtg, two batteries and command seat.
  8. I give you the ChemRock Iguana 100! This lightweight, 20 parts plane is perfect to get from you country residence to the KSC if the Mission clock is a t -3:00 minutes! With its twin engines it's highly motorized and due to their position close to the roll axis the plane won't flip out after a asymmetric flame out. The Iguana 100 is however no intercontinental plane, it has a reach of about 300 km since it's only tank packs 150 l of fuel. Should you run out of fuel anyways or loose control over the plane, the emergency chute will make sure that your Kerbal dies in another vehicle. Also, it's actually rather capricious in flight - but I'm sure the new ASAS will make it entirely flyable ChemRock Iguana 100
  9. Floor 325: The scransoms are now ready to flange!
  10. 2/10 Have I seen you before?
  11. Yeah, but no - I give points for beeing apollo - not for beeing efficient @Kappa73 Well, thats a realy nice entry - although I would realy like if you guys would post some screenshots too. They are just that much faster consumed than 10 minutes of youtube
  12. I had the same problem - I used a chute, mounted at the end of the plane to straighten it out, once its in the deeper atmosphere. I know, thats a rather dirty solution, but it worked
  13. I vote for Captain Sierra's designs, I like the looks of it.... Also: I realy like this challenge, it should get more care.
  14. You've been added to the leaderboard. A nice rocket you have there
  15. (fictional) Sovjet Army is comming
