It should work in .22, as it doesn't require any parts to add into the tech tree (the tech tree being the main thing added in .22)

Technically it does, it just needs the romfarer Lazor system plugin to function.

This needs some manner of electricity gen, like solar panels/rtgs or at the very least batteries. My geosync rocket ran out of batteries during an apoapsis coast phase.
