  1. If you're going for realism, use kOS or something. MechJeb is a rather dumb, simplistic autopilot that is only really good for providing flight data for you. A real rocket is precisely programmed for a specific mission, and things happen at specified velocity and altitude. MechJeb can't even do a roll program unless you hold it's hand through it.

Why don't you take the mechjeb discussion over to its own thread or keep it too yourself, know one cares if you like it or not. Let's keep this thread uncluttered!

  2. The stealth Suit is a super exclusive suit that only myself and CERVERUS have at the minute. They have to be "earned through work for GSI". BUT do not fear I will be releasing a black suit soon but it will not be the same shade or have the exact same decals, but you will be able to personalise the black one for your own use. When you are done I want to see a picture!

Wow, that's a disappointment, if it's not available maybe you shouldn't make it the first picture on the page. It would save the rest of us from having to read 7 pages of posts to find that out.

  3. Last I checked the starting pod DOES have an iva, whether that fits your idea of proper is beside the point. The 1 man 1.25m pod is built so it's roughly analogous to the old mercury capsules, they didn't have all that much of a view either.......

Yeah that's hardly the only command pod with a jacked up IVA, and if that's the best squad can do, or it's supposed to be finished that's just sad.

  4. Yeah, what the flip Squad? I don't think it's too much to ask for you to start showing the modders that making your game great some serious love.

Please for the love of all that's holy quit adding stuff to the game until you've got your house in order. Doctor Foo is 100% dead on, you're losing awesome mods left and right due to these issues.

  5. well that sucks! The work you've done is amazing and I for one can't wait to try out the station parts, even with the missing IVA.

I never understood why squad just keeps jamming more crap into the game instead of fixing and stabilizing what they have, both engine wise and part wise. I can't believe they added "career mode" and the command pod you start with doesn't have a proper iva? I can't even imagine what that meeting was like.

Mods are what make KSP a great game, it sucks to see squad not supporting the volunteer mod developers that make the game great and increase profits for them.

Thanks again for the awesome work on this mod!

  6. The biggest reason is that its a shuttle that actually works well.

Not everyone can afford a brand new top end gaming rig! From what I understand the problem is with KSP, not peoples PCs.

I'm running a core i3 with 4GB ram and a GTX 750 ti, I can play many newer games on very high to ultra settings with no problems, bioshock infinite for example but KSP stutters and generally has issues for me unless I run the texture compressor. I'm running about 6 mods, and none of the huge ones like B9. I also remove whole categories of parts from mods if I don't use them.

This is something squad needs to make top priority! Mods make this game playable, the stock command pods for instance are terrible without RPM. How long are mod authors going to stick around without Squads support?

  7. A question on design intent: how do you go about linking the tug up with the octagonal station modules? I believe the analogous real world modules were positioned by EVA astronauts and robotic arms, but we have no such thing here (at least at the present time). Are you intending for the modules to be ejected by the KSO and then scooped up by the tug, or possibly to have a radial docking port fitted, and the tug to dock with that before the KSO cuts it loose?

I'm actually really curious about this too. I was thinking once one module is up the tug could dock to it until the next module shows up. At that point the KSO could dock to the first module, eject the new module and the tug will catch it and put it in place. Too bad there isn't a way to rotate the modules up while they are still connected to the bay.

  8. I picked up a gtx 650 for my older gaming PC on Friday, it greatly improved KSPs performance but the hdmi port would not work. I've returned it and I'm looking at a gtx 650 ti 2gb for $150. This looks like a pretty good deal to me but I wanted to make sure I was getting the best bang for my buck! What does everyone think of that card for $150?

    Anyone have any thoughts?

  10. Anyone know if the rovers that BobCat posted screenshots of on this kethane page have been released? http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/23979-Kethane-Pack-0-8-4-Find-it-mine-it-burn-it!-Now-w-Toolbar-Critical-bug-fixed/page331

As far as I'm aware they're we're never released, this is exactly what I was talking about in my post above. I asked bobcat about them directly and never got an answer. I hope this newest rover doesn't turn into one of his projects that is never released!
