  1. hey as long as you’re inside my house, could you turn the AC up? Hot out here. Might be a banana in the fridge, don’t let the guinea pigs smell it tho.
  2. Hey @Stunkfish, to get Imgur links to work here, you have to use the full link with file extension (.png). Easiest way is usually to just right click + copy image link from your Imgur page, then just paste here and the pic should come right up. Looking forward to seeing what you’ve done.
  3. Also, next launch (Merah Putih) delayed till August 4. Lucky PSP is kicked out to the 11th, too.
  4. Looks like they're still not folding the legs yet...? ETA: regarding: Wouldn't want to get our boosters confused, now...
  5. Funny you should mention that... *Pokes @qzgy with a stick* A link to exactly what will be up shortly.
  6. Had a bit of a sleepless night last night. Some time during that stretch, I made this... thing...
  7. They haven’t even caught one yet, and they’re trying at night now. That’s a bold strategy...
  8. The Wife & I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary this weekend... by making a blacksmith forge. Yes, it's a piece of crap made from a small metal trash can, but it got this bit of... something... hot enough to smoosh: Even hot enough to quench harden. It wull cut crush bludgeon if I threw it at you really hard it might leave a mark... We even wound up with matching blisters: ...despite welding for many years I've yet to grasp the concept that things recently exposed to metal-melting temperatures are, in fact, hot... Wife got a chance to practice some tricky sheetmetal welding too, making the world's most warped table ever. Sheetmetal work is hard...
  9. Whatever you have planned, I don’t think still images will do it justice. You gotta gif this one. Hear hear!
  10. Year 10, Day 296... Today, we're going back to Iota. We have a promise to keep, to an old friend...Actually, it's just an old, half-forgotten contract that's about to come due. But it looks like the perfect opportunity to test new hardware. So another Nero X takes to the night sky! Fortunately, being airtight and hollow, it floats. Unfortunately, salt water and glowing hot metal bits also go together about as well as "interesting" and "re-entry." This is going to take a bit more refurb than just fuel and go, I'm afraid. But the design is proven successful, and not a moment too soon, as it's quickly rushed into production for the impending launch of the second half of our Gratian sample recovery mission. Also, we've still got four Kerbals halfway to Iota. And someone go tell Vlad to start paddling... Or maybe Triti could just throw him...
  11. Er, no, I mean it tumbled a good 90O after release, looked very Kerbal. Usually the payload deploys straight as a laser beam. GC confirms everything is good with the sat today, just looked odd.
  12. FunFact #1: that’s not too far off from what was actually planned at one point. FunFact #2: this is a bird so bred for speed, she needs to go fast. She weeps unless she is. Also, they used one of the same chemicals (triethal borane) to light the afterburners as SpaceX uses to light its rocket engines. I am a font of mildly interesting but ultimately useless information!
  13. Is it just me or did that satellite kick off with a lot of rotation?
  14. Dang, check out that entry heating on S1... aaaaand crap, they lost signal. Woohoo! Good landing!
  15. Wait, what? This is a droneship recovery launch with a Block 5...
  16. Fueling underway. Am I the only one watching this time?
  17. Note that SpaceX is launching the heaviest commsat ever without even needing the Falcon Heavy, and still recovering the booster.
  18. yES., YOU WATCH IT. yOU PUMP YOURSELF UP WITH COFFEE OR COLA AND YOU TOTALLY WATCH THAT CRAP. ಠ_ಠ Cuz there's another one coming up in FIVE DAYS and they're finally landing again!!!11!!!1! ETA: also, haven't seen this mentioned yet here, but this upcoming launch is apparently their heaviest commsat ever.
