That’s most of their business model. Most of the smallsat market is for earth-observing sun-synchronous orbits, so the further from the equator they can launch, the better.

As long as they don't go off without a hatch. That's a very real risk with KSP... Badum-tish. Myself? At the behest of a rather talented and prolific mod maker, I've been messing about with... sigh... spaceplanes. Results have been... mixed.

Ambience, bruh, ambiance. When you’re the fearsome ebil Big Bad, image is everything. You don’t need to magically choke the life out of all your underlings if they’re already afraid of you. But like the Royal Navy, it helps to shoot choke an admiral from time to time to encourage the rest. -

It needs big, silly wings. Darth Peoples always have ships with fold-up big silly wings. -
I’m wondering if maybe they figure those abort motors have a limited lifespan, “use it or lose it” after n hours/flights/etc. So they run it up to its “expiration” then offer an extra-long, high-G special flight for their more adventurous passengers... for a small premium, of course.

Not looking good for today. Sounds like teething troubles at the pad, too. -
Glad you enjoyed it. These are the kind of comments that just make my day. The story is not yet at an end... but the end is nigh... and moving at a crawl lately. Should probably get to writing...

This was a pleasantly random thing to wake up to. I think you’re on to something, here, this booster is still “brand new” and I can’t see them doing anything with it with a high likelihood of failure since they have a test program to continue. They must have gotten some encouraging data from the previous abort test.

NS was also going a lot slower at Max Q, less than 500mph. F9 will be supersonic, so even with the engines canted away, I think that shockwave right on the tank front is gonna kill it. I imagine they’ll expect the worst but hope for the best with a downrange recovery. Or, come to think of it, they might use the opportunity to test their new automatic FTS system, too...
