  1. I like the car! We could use some magic from time to time.
  2. Wow! This is very well thought out. Impressive!
  3. You are correct. That is how I was reading it last night. My apologies, TheAstronut.
  4. I'm not trying to frighten you, but... There was no internet back then. Scarey, I know.
  5. But I did read everything you wrote. I understand what you are saying. But you say you are seeing mountains on Minmus and you think you should be able to spot your station in high Kerbin orbit. What you are seeing is shadows my friend. there is no detail worth mentioning in the screen shot you placed in your first post. Even with the zoom that the game allows and if the game did display your craft (I saw your station in another post. Pretty nice!) it would be a very faint dot the size of a single pixel due to the distance. It is a pretty good size craft for sure, but at that distance there isn't much to see. So why bother with putting it in the skybox? I remember seeing SkyLab going over the night sky when I was a lad. I knew it was SkyLab because I had tracked it with maps I got from NASA (You'd be surprised what the PR department will give a kid ) and the timing of the orbit (and I got lucky). It was a dot of light. And that was in LEO. I tied to grab it with my telescope. I managed to hit it once. I got a bigger dot. (A low powered telescope we got from Target if I recall.)
  6. I think with our current technology we would be stretched pretty thin. Our Nuclear weapons don't have a delivery system that could reach such a target. Given enough time we could probably cobble something together to get Nukes to an intersect. It would probably take a lot of those puppies though. Our laser weapons are no match for something like this. A huge solar sail (if we could build it that big, get it there and deploy it) would not only have to deal with the velocity of the object but it would have to deal with the tumble of the object as well. Dicey at best. Heck, what am I going on about? All we really need is Chuck Norris.
  7. Wow! (That means Awesome!) I think I had a toy like this when I was a kid. (No offense intended. It was a very cool toy! It even glowed in the dark.)
  8. eh! It's a game. darn good one too. It also is a 32 bit game and I'm glad they don't allow objects that I have in various orbit visible from the surface of Kerbin (super eyes or not). if the game did show those objects I'd probably see this error "Could not allocate memory: System out of memory!" more often. Kerbals eat lots of carrots ya know.
  9. Welcome! I've managed to not strand any of my Kerbals anywhere..... They are on extended deployment.
  10. Ouch! wow this is excellent stuff! Very exciting!
  11. Who says the race is over? There is many, many light years to go.
  12. They should post them to the forum as well. Then they would get lots of attention. I go through the spaceport a lot and yes there is some good stuff there but there is also a lot of crap.
  13. :Rubbing hands.: Oh excellent! very nice internals of the Mir.
  14. Im surprised that post made it. The forums went down right after I hit post reply. (I didn't break the forums guys )
  15. I don't see a need for us to interject a race war between the light green and the darker green Kerbals. We, as a race, are trying hard to get away from that. Lets not inflict that on this great game. The Kerbals are green. Lets leave it at that.
  16. Well right now the isn't any need to do anything to the Kerbals. We have a tendency to assign gender to them because that is how we are wired. All of my Kerbals are guys because they are doing guy stuff. (Yes I'm aware that is old fashioned and so on. You may chose differently. I never had action figures, all of my action toys were plastic army men. ) My point is that we are assigned gender to a species that may not even have a gender. My 'guys' could be doingKerbal stuff instead of guy stuff.
  17. Sorry guys! I've been rather busy and hadn't had the time to work on this. I'll publish a couple of chapters tonight.
  18. Ok, here is an admittedly stupid question as I've done zero research into modeling... Is there a way to enable/disable the colliders? Disabled when retracted and enabled when fully extended?
  19. Huh! I start over for every update. I expect things to change in each version. So I don't build massive things that I want to hang around.
  20. Cool about solving the zero g bug. . I must grab the latest version and try my adventure again. This mod will be my favorite lander that is deployed from a larger vessel.
