[WIP] Bahamuto Dynamics (Dockable Fairings) 11/5/13
BostLabs replied to BahamutoD's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
I'm going to give this a go. (Please KSP Gods, let me add just one more thing. LOL) This would be perfect for a lander I want to make. -
Last time I checked (I admit it has been a while) that is peer pressure. That has little ability to influence me as I'm an old foggy, but for some of the younger crowd... Play as you want, mods or no mods, it impacts no one except yourself. Anyone that is saying differently is giving you their unsolicited opinion. And like any opinion you can either accept it or dismiss it. Anyone that tries telling me that I'm cheating for using mods is being dismissed. No hard feelings but your opinion isn't any more important than mine. And, for me, my opinion counts.

THEY don't want us to know. I watched this movie tonight. Creepy spider/crab rock life forms. Silica based perhaps? the website, www.lunartruth.com , is pretty interesting too.

If you do decide to use HyperEdit. look up the forum post for it. The version in the SpacePort is way out of date. Better yet. here is the link to the site of the new developers. http://www.kerbaltekaerospace.com/ I'm not sure why they want their thread here on the forum closed. It comes up as the #3 hit on a Google search. Their web site is #10.

Mission to Duna - "Podkayne" (LOTS of pictures)
BostLabs replied to Tokay Gris's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
This appears very well thought out. Good stuff! -
Ok, I have only one thing to say to all you guys in here that are part clipping and air hogging.... Wow! Ok I'll say a few more words now. Those are some really cool designs guys! Who cares if you are bending 'the rules' a bit. Heck, most of my space craft are more about looking cool (to me) than anything else. If they fly then I'm happy. I'm going to have to sub to this so I can see some moar!

Looking sharp! Did I mention that this is awesome? Well it is ya know... Awesome!
-
I do hope you called the Police and reported this?

Solved! How to change the root part of a craft!
BostLabs replied to dronkit's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Because the search function doesn't work very well sometimes. -
Wow! Howi managed to miss this thread for so long is beyond me. Gimme, gimme, gimme! Please note this this is not a request to rush things. I will be here when you've finished your wonderful work of art. You guys should be commended. I foresee much use of this baby in my Space Program. Awesome, just awesome!

The nice thing about having a lot of hard drive space is that you can have several different copies of KSP.
-
John, I've had this happen. Somewhere you have a connection that is breaking under the stress. When that happens, even though your ship looks like it is in 1 piece, MJ cannot control the ship because the connection between it and the rest of the ship is broken. Could be a battery, a decoupler or something else that is getting crushed during liftoff. The F3 key can help you determine what is breaking.
-
I had targeted the ship I was wanting him to teleport to, but that is probably different from what you just said to do. While I was watching this poor fella, the other two ship in orbit must have collided and exploded.

Part Generator Version 3 [Win][Linux][Mac]
BostLabs replied to Lando's topic in KSP1 Tools and Applications
rkman, there is a browse button there to select the folder. (at least in the Win version.) You guys came up with some nice textures. But I had to tinker up one myself. -
This ship to be exact. The fuel tanks were made with Parts Generator by Lando http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/48368-Part-Generator-Version-3-Win-Linux-Mac So I wanted to try the Lazer mod and selected the teleport option and selected one of my Kerbals. Nice special effect and suddenly my poor kerbal is speeding around Kerbin at incredible speed. And he made good time to Kerbin escape. He wasn't none too happy about it either. LOL! I must have done something wrong (ya think?) A short time later, KSP crashed.

Part Generator Version 3 [Win][Linux][Mac]
BostLabs replied to Lando's topic in KSP1 Tools and Applications
If you anti-virus software refuses to let the application run, just add the partgen folder to the exclusions for you AV. Avast stopped it dead when I first ran PartGen. I added it to the exclude list and it runs like a champ. Note: Avast says it cannot determine enough information to say it is bad. It is just being cautious. PartGen is perfectly safe to be allowed to run. -

Orbital Fuel Station by GamePlay Review Inverted NavBall Fix
BostLabs replied to Graknils's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
That station does fly. There is a read me or a forum post where the author tells you exactly how to launch it. I have a mission report called, Beagle Flight - to the Mun, where that station is featured. I think you'll like it. -
Don't be sorry. It just made my decision easier. I forgot a major part of my ship when I first launched it and had made up the part, launched it, docked it in a very tight spot, aligned it just the way I wanted it to be. When I tested it, it shot my ship. . So the update just makes my decision to take it down from orbit much easier after all that work. The craft needs design changes so might as well put the pretty parts on it.
