Maybe that weapons platform fires its thrusters to counter act recoil or to change its orbit to target an area out of the DeltaV capability of the weapons itself? Thats not really true i think atleast that todays EVA's are made tethered only for safety purposes and that the suit is basically self-contained. They even have an emergency thruster pack called SAFER. Its much smaller than the MMU but has less DV i think.
Reminds me of Shattered Horizon and the final battle in Moonraker. I kinda like the design of the Shuttle you see in the first seconds of the trailer. It looks like a big manned version of the X-37 except that it has SSME's so its probably launched sidemounted on a External fuel tank like the STS.
lajoswinkler, you blow this stupid and non existant issue WAY out of proportion. i sense that you may have a slight case of white knight syndrome. Anyway, If Squad was to add Kerbals of female appereance, there would be problems too.
No one is excluded. No who doesn't play KSP now will play it because it has female looking characters in it. I think its sad that you need Female looking Kerbals so bad. I think most people wouldn't even think about the Kerbals genders if some people would not bring up that "BS" of yours all the time.
Just let Kerbals be Kerbals and appreciate the fact that they exist in this Spaceflight simulator at all. There are so many video game characters with or without determined gender. Why does it matter with Kerbals?
Who are you talking to now? No one got all "reaction-y" because of Girls playing KSP, but because of the wonders this thread will bring. Just read Monkeh's post.
Are you joking or don't you know it yet? No ì•„ë“œ 아스Ê¸ë¼ Ã¼ 아스ÃŽ˜ë¼, sir. I just know how it goes here. Read the previous page and see.
Don't get me wrong, i think the STS is a wonderful spacecraft but it failed to accomplish its goal. It was supposed to be a cheap way to transport hardware into space, just a stepping stone on the way to other planets. In the end it was just as expensive (if not even more expensive) to launch like every conventional rocket. Its greatest achievement was building part of the ISS which could have been done with conventional rockets too.
The space shuttle was actually a disaster, launching a bigger spacestation isnt really a success either, and there were many failures on the US site too.I think nobody really won because there is no defined finish line. And now everyone is on the same site (except china maybe) which i think is far better for humanity anyway.
God this is just to funny. That design is not practical in anyway. I think NASAfanboy is right, lets build the Discovery one! (i actually hope nyrath comes here for that)
