K-P0110 - Apollo-like crew module, now with source files included
MonkeyLunch replied to Ledenko's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Nice looking reentry capsule, great stuff.. Im looking forward to the RPM version, RPM is a must have mod for me. Apollo missions are one of my favorite to recreate, so this would be a welcome addition to my mod folder. And thanks for the contribution to the community, its appreciated. -
Thanks for the link to these files.

I would love to see this mod combined with the Scansat mod. Being able to set up coms and data relays, would be a huge addition to this game. I look forward to the day I have to wait for the command module to fly over before I can communicate with it. And their being a window of time for it.

Well this sucks. You are not punishing Squad doing this. Although im sure they are aware. The only people this really punishes is the fanbase. Most of us aren't happy with curse either. Mods are how we gamers get the game we actually want, because god knows devs sure as heck wont make them for us. Every game I have is heavily modded, and its the same for every friend. Ive never seen devs yet who listen to their customers. And trust me, ive tried. I cant tell you how many beta tests and alpha tests ive been in, and the devs didn't listen to anything any of the testers said. Even when it was unanimous., not even one time. I now consider beta tests a scam for free stress testing. So please reconsider your fans. That's the only people it will actually effect. I doubt Squad cares what any of us do, or don't do, so you aren't hurting them.

HotRockets! Particle FX Replacement + Tutorial
MonkeyLunch replied to Nazari1382's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Do you have a non-curse mirror, I wont go there. I like your mod, but I will have to stop using it if curse is the only place to get it. And that's likely the sentiment of most users. Everyone over on steam is boycotting it completely. Curse has an extremely bad reputation, why they went with them makes no sense... -
Could robots eventually make the economy obsolete?
MonkeyLunch replied to vger's topic in Science & Spaceflight
The more workers businesses replace, the fewer customers they have. What I see happening is the socialization of the world at some point, and robots taking over all manual labor jobs, and anything that doesn't require significant decision making. Leaving humans to do the creative and philosophical stuff at their leisure. Its the only way it can work. As long as people need to earn a living to survive, they will need decent jobs. And as long as people need jobs, robots taking them will not be well received. Businesses replacing people with robots will only see less customers, until they have no customers. Its a self defeating strategy to cut employees hoping for more profits, you just end up with less business.. The economy was at its strongest when unemployment was at an all time low, and wages were at their highest, with peoples buying power at its highest levels. Its at its weakest now, when its the exact opposite situation.. edit: So yes, robots will eventually make the economy obsolete. Atleast the economy we all know now. -
I don't want to use curse either, and probably will avoid mods that only have upload links from there. I have been hoping modders use mirrors like github or whatever. A lot of people don't want anything to do with curse, they don't have the best rep. So I understand your dislike completely. But... The community will be who loses out, if you bail. I encourage you to stay, and just use alternative download options. The people who love your mods will appreciate it, and squad will get the message by you not using curse. I hope you choose to stay, and let your displeasure over Curse be known by simply not using it. Please don't penalize the community, or yourself, because of Squads decision to use Curse.

[0.90] Magic Smoke Industries Infernal Robotics - 0.19.3
MonkeyLunch replied to sirkut's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Does this mod still need the old "infernal robotics" also installed, for it to work? Or is it autonomous now? Last time I tried this, we had to use both together. It said so on the front page before, now it doesn't, so that's why im asking. PS: Thanks for all the effort keeping this going, its an incredible addition to the game and community. Much appreciated. -

[PLUGIN+PARTS][0.23] SCANsat terrain mapping
MonkeyLunch replied to damny's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
How about incorporating that satellite mod Remote tech, that creates line of sight like connections, and being able to beam map data? Putting that all together would be great. Beaming map data from an orbiting satellite to your landing craft, would be extremely fun to set up.. It would be great if they were able to work together. -

Hey, I just want to say ive been using this mod for awhile, and its something that should be put into the game stock as far as im concerned. Its an activity for the player to do while exploring the game. And it fits the theme perfectly. More things to build can only add to the games awesomeness. Im happy to see someone is working on this, since the original author seems to be absent. I would suggest Dmagic you contact the author of RPM and inquire for any info you need for your work on this and toolbar support. (something I too would like to see happen, I use both ) They seem like a friendly bunch, and he lists Scansat as an addon that works on the monitors his mod creates. Its in everyones interest to keep this working, especially the community. Looking forward to seeing this up and running, and working with other mods, soon! And thank you for all you do for this community, we appreciate it. edit: spelling fix -

[1.2] Procedural Fairings 3.20 (November 8)
MonkeyLunch replied to e-dog's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Is this working with 23.5? Update coming? Already out? The front page doesn't say 23.5 ps: Awesome mod. These are the fairings the game needs. There's a fairing for every job. Making them out of metal panels isn't nearly as cool. -
