ha, maybe when this game is complete, there could be a lil ingame 'museum' in the main menu or something, nothing too flash (unless u wanted it to be) but just a scrollable with things like moach's post, or various screenshots or the various versions, with short descriptions... im sure theres a fair part of the community who played the old versions that could help with the latter part
-
using the quantum struts glitch, assuming it still exists (strut ends on a strut box thingy, or wheel and it freezes objects in space) this could be epic
-
I look forward to seeing what you come up with, I love looking at the graphics pages. And I may have a request in the next couple weeks if its not too busy, but now someones explained how to make bits transparent, I want to have another go first
-
Embarrassing... My bad, your totally right I read it about 5 times and just didn't see the don't, they are rather nice, and have uses beyond aesthetics, its crossfeed so can essentially become a fuel line
-
there is also the unlikely chance that they didnt have any problems, because im not alone in having no issues with 0.20 yet; there were 2 whole threads on it; so maybe their tester pool isnt large or varied enough? like i said, unlikely, but possible
-
I find "its an alpha" is only a valid response if its someone who has an attitude problem; like "hey thanks for the report, but its only an alpha, have patience" but anything can be helpful, just the more constructive, the better
-
most impressive one was a steam user i tried helping, then suggested he come here to get everyones opinion/better dev chance of seeing (ignore poor wording ) and he said, no, why should i go report this bug for free when ive paid for this game, they should go out of their way to find the issues; i dont mind when im being paid, but i wont waste my time for free, and if its not fixed then theyve lost a customer (and my immediate thought was... but youve already given them your money)
-
As much as its enjoyable, and if it was fixed, i would miss it; it is WAAAAAAAAAAAY more inconvenient and irritating then it is charming; id rather it fixed, then stay but hey, i wont die if it isnt
-
I get that (well its not for me yet, but i know there are alot of issues) but what i meant it, i saw a thread that literally just said it is buggy, fix it; for me, my issues would be 1)the demanding/expectant tone, now just because its good business practice and PR, technically SQUAD are not obliged to finish this; 2) it is not helpful in the slightest, it really needs some details, at the very least, he could of listed some bugs that did occur, and 3) it specifically states what u need to post for a bug report, and he ignored ALL of it haha i understand perceived whining is also an issue from the otherside of this argument, but i believe a criticism, if not helpful, should at least be polite; i didnt go to uni, and have my lecturer say "nah, your s**t, and ur work is terrible, why are you even here" no, i got advice, and shown where i was weak and how to improve; ok, not a perfect analogy, but you get my point
-
Personally, i really like the orange (which is odd for me) but i feel it really works with the sleek sci-fi feel; but its your mod, they all looks great, and ill be happy with whatever comes soon; as this is my favourite parts mod so far; also, not 100% sure, but i believe u have a grammar mistake on your fuel line thingy (not the block one, the triple yellow lines) it says that dont tell anyone but this part does something; so unless thats a cryptic clue to its use, maybe it should be, doesnt do anything, or something along those lines
-
I'm all for this, as long as it remains constructive; i have seen enough posts of people writing half arsed complaints, or just general whining; for example, i saw one that basically said "0.20 is bugged; fix it NOOOOW" or "Theres not enough parts in this update; it was a terrible update!" if people criticize with facts or genuine concerns or ideas etc; then fine... but ive stopped going on the steam forum for this because it just gave me a headache... the amount of people asking for stuff that has an identical thread directly under it just made me want to cry
-
bit off topic, but for those running into issues with kethane on 0.20 in this thread; extract https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21650546/Kethane.rar to the gamedata folder; unfortunatly the link is a .rar, so you'll need to get something like 7zip (which is free)
-
Someone posted a fix for that (not the German one) I'm at work atm, but when I'm home ill find u the link, I had this problem and the updated dll didn't help, now its working perfect, as for me, I made a nice big beasty satellite with 9large scanners and 4 baby ones, put it in a polar orbit, then played a diff game for couple hours while leaving it on 100x, nice big chunky lines, and almost no black left on my kethane map

What happened to Hitchhiker IVA? Parts in the Trailer?
JonoRig replied to footman04's topic in KSP1 Discussion
it is. I was rather hoping it would be a bit more like the original panopotican or whatever it was called in kspx pack... That that I'm complaining. I can just reinstall that and have a one man and a 3 manned pod, as it is my favourite cockpit Ive come across yet -
Only way to make rescue vessels now (all have already been stated but i feel it would be good to reiterate in a list... i like lists) Make your vessel as normal, and EVA your Kerbals, and leave them at KSC; Make your vessel as normal, but use hitchhiker module instead of a command module; and, Use the newly updated Crew Manifest mod
-
Visually, I think its awesome, speed has increased dramatically on stock (for me at least) and the couple new parts and the flags are nice looking additions. But this update is mostly behind the scenes stuff, flags and the seat. Oh. And the visual overhaul of menus, but yeah. I love it, just annoyed I don't have time to play it

International Youtube Mun Space Station!
JonoRig replied to The Solar Gamer's topic in KSP Fan Works
agreed! Ive subbed a few youtubers I'd love to See, so excited to see who else is added to this project... Should be good -
But just because they are planning cities, I wouldn't expect too much, at the very least, not kerbals wandering around... It'd be a bit of a lagfest unless you can turn It off, as they want to make all the buildings destructable too
-
Looks amazing, can't wait to see a final concept or finished piece. And if you do end up using that fuel design you mentioned, it sounds like it will balance it a little more and make it potentially one of my favourite mods... Def my favourite mod part

What is the purpose of making bases on other planets?
JonoRig replied to Joey's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Your next step should be what you want to do, if you want to try an make a base, great. If u wanna send satellites out, great... Muck about on kerbin with jets and wheeled vehicles. Also great, do what you find enjoyable. But currently, stock has no benefit for doing anything other then u having achieved it... Afterall. A lot of people that play games would do a lot less just because the game said "this is your objectove"... This game gives you the freedom to play how u like. U can make your own objectives. Or go on the challenge forum and complete some of them.... Or you could try starting your own pen and paper career mode until the official one is implemented.... Not to mention all the additional stuff mods give u, like already stated. Kethane is a good place to start... Some awesome looking space station and base parts out there too, and I saw someone working on a mod that will let you construct your own VABS on other planets and moons.... Really the possibilities are almost endless -
I understand your irritation in that case; the amount of.... infuriating posts (here and on steam) is quite high, but it was a misread is all, im quite tired; and dont skim read very well
-
lol... i just read comments above wrong no need to get stressy; a simple mistake anyone can make, and right at this min; im sorting out my parts folder cause i have too many mods... i may try it out when i get my game to be stable
