KER can be used right?

i just do an asparagus staged rocket with mainsails, it can get just about anything into suborbital and then i can just use the maneuvering stage to circularize

i just use KER for readouts and subassembly loader, which i consider close enough for stock challenges.

ok, did it. lagged too much at 4k relative velocity to get a screenshot, but it is done. simply put the tank into a prograde orbit and something else in a retrograde orbit. you get 4.5 km/s relative velocity. there is no part attached to another one anymore.

so this will probably not break saves?

yes, SAS just adds torque to the movement dampening, not to maneuvering. to add maneuvering, use command modules such as probes or capsules.(they work for steering even if there is no kerbal inside)

what about information mods like KER or building mods like subassemely loader?

just attach the two stages with struts, that will cancel all decoupling force

yah, jus according to the rocket equation, each new fuel tank gives diminishing return. AKA if you can get 1km/s the first stage after accent with 10 fuel tanks of a certian size, it will take more than 10 more fuel tanks to get another km/s.

this is my first time posting on the spacecraft exchange, so i am more than open to suggestions. This little rover with its intuitive delivery system is perfect for your first ground exploration of new territory. Although the delivery system's range is untested, it can easily get to minmus, even landing on the interplanetary stage. On the ground, the ant can reach top speeds of ~15m/s, more if on a slope. In low gravity planets, the sole probe body also has enough gyroscopic torque to completely flip itself over, so getting stuck shouldn't be a problem. This rover is also very sturdy, and i have yet to destroy it in normal use.
