  4. laptop, no numpad. command is reserved for the OS same with function, all the others are already assigned in ksp. i might assign it to a letter. as for my play style, i usually fly rockets, but I'm trying to get into planes. (hence the need for the trim in the first place.) maybe z would be a good modifier key?
  5. i read that, but what would be a good modifier key? one that would be easy enough to reach, and is not connected to the throttle? if you have a suggestion, what is the code that i replace the LeftAlt or RightAlt with?
  6. wow its been a long time since i asked for help. anyway, i am building an aircraft in career mode, and it needs trim. i can trim it just fine, until i hit option+s (macbook pro running mavericks BTW) and i hear the 'invalid command' sound. after this, it moved me into IVA view. any help?
  7. what would be the code in order to remap the modifier key to say, function? (for some reason, option+s is reserved and i can't find it is settings. (mac BTW)) or if someone could propose a fix to this that would be great to.
  8. i do not think of spaceflight as a problem with our technology, i see it as more of a problem with our economy. i mean, we can do a lathe flight in an ssto in ksp. i know it isn't 100 percent accurate, but it should then be possible to do it with a huge colony ship irl, right? but then again, once economy gets set up, in ksp, lets hope the kernels care more about spaceflight than we humans do!
  9. first plane: the debris generator. (it deserved the name. the debris helped me locate the KSC for targeted reentrys. first successful design: Solar Sailer. (rover using two gigantor solar panels. looked like one of those sail buggies)
  10. also, while yes, the computer could handle the size, unity and its floating point errors (read: kraken) could not.
  11. the thing is, resources are integral to both sandbox and career mode. in sandbox, it is a way to refuel etc. (possibly even fabricate parts) and in career, it is that and a way to get money and research.

  14. for those of you saying that science will not have any worth when the tech tree comes out, i would like to suggest that maybe discovering something new will get you more funds? something along those lines. kinda like a research grant.
  15. i think the solution would be to make a kind of resource out of samples, with two separate values. the volume/mass (would determine how much a container could carry, and their worth, (may need 2 values for science worth and monetary worth, once it gets added.)
  16. like everyone else said, i want the flavor text. (although a total of how much science you gathered at the end of the mission would be fun) (with the diminishing returns being reset after the flight ends,or just give the data value)

  18. any idea if they are optimizing some bugs that came in .22? such as the mun soi freeze or loading times? (or the bug mentioned in my signature, for that matter?) anyone know how much effor they are even putting into bug fixes?
  19. this is one thing that i liked about this game, before it froze very time i loaded a save. (see below, the more activity the thread can get, the more likely the devs will look at it!)
  20. top hate: i cant load saves.top like: everything else once i can get it to load.
  21. again, like i say in a lot of these threads, it would probably be more user friendly if it was a drag and drop interface, much like scratch.
  22. im going through withdrawal, as nothing seems to fix this osx crash! (yes i have tried saved state and permissions.)
  23. the original should definitely be officially recognized, maybe even on the ksp home page.
