1. I live in a small town where I can see a lot of stars at night and if I look very closely I can see what I think is the Milky Way, I can also see most of the planets when their above the horizon. So the larger the telescope the better I guess?
2. So with a large stash of Christmas and birthday money, I decided I wanted a better telescope then the telestar model 60az-a I already have, my current telescope let's me see Saturn's rings and Jupiter's moons. I told my mother I wanted one that allows me to see features on mars like the icecaps and such, and is able to auto track objects in the sky. she showed me a couple with this being the best one: http://www.telescope.com/catalog/search.cmd?form_state=searchForm&siteCode=US&keyword=celestron+nexstar+130slt However I have zero knowledge of telescopes, other then how they all work with mirrors and how to use the one I have (read an online instruction manual for nearly an hour before I figured it out) as I obtained mine last year from my brother who hasnt used it since he was little. So what i'm asking is if you can educate me a bit on all the stats for these telescopes and what they mean because i have zero idea The two main questions I have are 1. When you refer to a telescope being like 30 mm (Mm? MM?) Is that like a measerment of the width of the front lense and basically how distant it can show objects? The other being are my expectations for a telescope too high? :PP Any help is apreciated.
3. When you refer to laying on the couch as "Colonizing the living room."
4. Someone did such a thing once, went down to like 0 meters and returned to orbit with a giant rocket, dont remember where i saw it though.
5. oh well, it was google translate iirc that told me so that may be why.
6. Why the flag of a country? The species of one planet travels several thousand miles to another planet, just to plant a flag that a fraction of its kind stands for? Why not have our planet on the flag? The pale blue marble we came from, and will return to? Instead of one country's flag, why not have every country on the flag?
7. i did it to just barely capture into an eliptical orbit with a probe (was fun with remotetech) and reduced the apo with further passes (after deorbiting on the first brake several times acidentally) so it is possible, just hard.
8. It may also be possible that with Minmus's large orbit that you may see a TINY fluctuation in power generation on opposite sides of the orbit, but to be a problem would require you to just barely have enough power generation in the first place...
9. Congratz, i too have not stepped foot on any body besides kerbin, mun, minmus, and Laythe (long story) i did get a duna orbiter and various probes sent off but didnt arrive before 1.0.5 dropped
10. You can build science stations, like I had a contract to put up a station for five kerbals in kerbin orbit, so i launched Jeb in a cupola on the station core into orbit, and then docked a science lab with the docking stage being a crewed capsule with Bill and Bob in it, so in total the station had 5 spaces for kerbals, and i brought a scientist and engineer up too, and i can just undock and deorbit the science lab after it goes through all the science stuff it has, and launch a new one!
11. Am i the only one who notices the concerning amount of thrusters and size of that SSTO?
12. what are those glorious fuel tank on the lander and 2.5 meter command pod from?
13. One eats ships after they launch, the other eats them beforehand.
14. its been happening to me nearly every 3 landings or so :(
15. We could just not destroy the planet in the first place. Why are you destroying a planet? What did the planet do to you? Just let it be a planet and do planet things. :sticktongue:
16.
http://i.imgur.com/cdnNZDF.png
what were you launching?!:0.0:
17. well, there was enough snow to fully cover the ground here in Wisconsin, but its starting to melt! :( still enough to go sledding :D
18.
At 2pm on Friday we send a spam of requests to Kasper and it should work. But also spam Scott Manley's twitter with a tweet I will make (I will link my twitter).
oh, I don't have twitter  I can try and gain support during squadcast tommorow i guess... so no help needed with ship making I take?
19. I will gladly join the mob of people trying to get this on KSPTV, unless you guys are streaming it elsewhere, either way, Ill be in the mob of viewers :P I'm not sure I can contribute much compared to everyone else but I could try and help with making the ships in any way I can :) edit: unless you already have the ships made.
20.
I think this sums up exploring a "dungeon" in Fallout 4 quite amusingly: http://www.wired.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/UniformRealImperialeagle.gif
Dogmeat: la de da de da da dee. Player: DOGMEAT NOOOOOOOOOO! *KAPOW!!*
21. You could just, y'know, undock the infected module and let it dock with the sun at high velocity. :P oh right the hero needs the module, id guess what others have said and let it bake in UV for a while.
22.
I've never seen that, that's hilarious! - - - Updated - - - The problem is the OP is using heat shields. How is your craft different from his? From what I can see, yours is more stout and has more airbrakes. Is that accurate, or is something else at play?
OP is rotating his ship so its not behind the heatshields, i believe that is the cause.
