  1. I don't think this should be in until it's a conceivable option in our near future (next 30-40 years). Kerbal Space Program is not about far off theoretical tech, it's about building a practical space program based off real tech and physics. Plus, there's a million other things that need to be done before the devs even give interstellar travel a serious thought.
  2. 165. Kerbals need push scooters. 166. Kids! 167. Kid Kerbals should have tricycles.
  3. Many of these things aren't just impossible for the engine to run, but arguably impossible or ridiculously impractical in real life, too... There's a Vsauce video that discusses what would happen if you put a ring around a planet.
  4. Jupiter is very cold, but because of the lack of pressure, it's a gas up the top of the atmosphere. I think the vacuum idea sounds much more efficient than heating, honestly I don't see any disadvantages when you're already close to a vaccuum.
  5. Would going through a ring be death to any craft that attempts it? I mean getting hit by something, even small, in orbit is already dangerous, what about a million things of varying sizes?
  6. I don't have a funny answer, it's just enhanced my interest in space and space travel.
  7. Wow, that Tylo shot is probably the most photorealistic this game has ever looked.
  8. But if that happened, there wouldn't really be any point in them being there, nobody would ever stumble across one, and if they did stumble across one on the millionth crossing of the belt, they'd be extremely dissapointed that they can't even land on it.
  9. 141. Asteroid fields where you have to constantly swerve to avoid smashing into the asteroids.
  10. It's sort of the opposite situation, but this reminds me of the beginning of this scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIwzjXYGV5g
  11. 129. Why can't we open a little shop on our bases in case of tourists? Love a little shop.
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think rings around planets are a lot denser than asteroid belts. In an asteroid belt, you'd very rarely see two asteroids at once.
  13. Proper planetary rings would be probably very difficult to make, considering each of the quadrillions of rocks/other particles would need to have physics when you were near them unless they were big enough to be on rails.
  14. Someone put basically this in the impossible/stupid suggestions thread but really I don't entirely agree with it. Sure, it's probably far off if it's ever going to happen, but we're in the age of 3D printing now! Inexpensive custom model building who's cost is based on mass and not complexity. Doesn't seem that farfetched.
  15. I think there's a point where scientific curiosity decides "We know enough about this no longer completely alien location already that is not worth spending a lot of money to go back to it again when with the same money we could go to a truly alien location where we could learn a whole lot more".
  16. Ha! Nobody can conquer the Kerbal system til they have a manned base on every solid surface!
  17. 111) Hurry up and release this game on PS3, XBOX 360, Wii U and PS Vita.
  18. 63. Every 10 days, there's a 5 % chance that aliens will invade and you have to defend Kerbin.
  19. Oh, I don't know, I think we could see some larger asteroids in an asteroid belt in the future.
  20. Less or more effective than planes on Earth? I haven't had a chance to test Duna out in KSP. I wonder because the gravity is lower so less lift would be required, but the atmosphere is also very thin.
  21. Um... you do know what a nebula is, don't you? Wouldn't exactly fit in the Kerbol system...
  22. 48) Why are all rockets made out of metal? There should be an option to make them out of wood, plastic or styrofoam. 49) We should be able to build space elevators too.
