  1. Rijeke već ima ovdje, jedino šta nisam u zadnje vrijeme uopće aktivan ovdje.
  2. It may be that space travel is so unnatural to humans that everyone is expected to have a phobia of some kind. I haven't read the whole thread, so maybe someone feels the same effect, but my phobia is definitely wierd and hard to explain. When approaching an another planet for the first time, I get scared of seeing it. Just the idea of establishing first visual contact makes me freak out. Like the first time I went to Duna, I've seen the planet on a lot of pictures and other playthrough videos which was fine, but seeing it closing in from far away makes me very uncomfortable, and we're talking about a game here. If I was on a real mission to Mars, I'm certain that I would be too terrified to look out the window upon arrival.
  3. If I'm not mistaken it was the first of the SRB tree (red), but that makes sense, I haven't installed pretty much anything besides the essential mods. I'll probably add some before I play again.
  4. Hmm, it seems to be working, but I still have to give it more time to see if there are any anomalies. I have noticed that one research tree node has no parts (besides the root), I don't know if that is in any way related. But yes, I did exactly what you proposed, and it seems to be working! Thank you very much. Now I just have to accomodate myself and learn again, because this is the first time I have played KSP non-vanilla.
  5. Question: The guide provides an option for playing without Realistic Solar System, but one of the dependencies, the Realism Overhaul Tweak lists it as a required mod. I want to play in the original Kerbol system - what do?
  9. Rijeka, Croatia. It's on the northern coast of the Adriatic sea. Built around the ancient roman town Tarsatica and has quite a history behind it. The city changed states around 5 times in the 20th century alone and was once split in half by the state borders. Austro-Hungaria, the kingdom of yugoslavia, Italy, communist Yugoslavia, Republic of Croatia, and at some point it was also a pirate city-state with it's own army and laws (in other words, a drug-infested smuggler haven). Most of today's Rijeka was built by the Austro-Hungarians including the railways, the port and pretty much everything downtown, so the centre mostly consists of neo-baroque edifices and dead industrial facilities. No really, some parts of the waterfront look as postapocalyptic as scenes from HL2, including the old Torpedo factory, where - funfact - the torpedoes as we know them today were first invented and built. Today with the industry dead, the city is slowly collapsing. There's a steady outflow of population, few jobs (if the shipyard goes bankrupt soon, that won't really help as well), but for some reason, that wouldn't be your first impression with all the cafes always full and people driving pretty nice cars. I'm quite upset with that kind of mentality and the overall local political lazyness, so I call it a village with skyscrapers, but the place itself ain't too bad. It gets obnoxiously hot and humid in the summer ,but there's literally clean beaches a local bus ride away and the nearest ski park is a bit more than 30min away (if driving). I'd say that's pretty unique...
  10. Manual only. Over here you'll find some AT in cars but only in the most expensive ones - the Mercs and Beamers, newer Audi's and so on. In our part of the world it's reserved only for the richer elite, no middle class citizen that would buy a Renault or a Ã…Â koda would pay more to have automatic transmission in it. Therefore, I've never tried any form of AT myself, but I'd never buy one. The only pro for the auto in my book is dense traffic and city driving where all the excess shifting and footwork becomes a nuisance. Besides, I'd never have a car just for getting around the city. If you live in an urban center, public transport is always a better option. Automatics also take away all the joy in driving. Having to know when to shift and how to best use the engine power is the name of the game. Granted, the majority of folks that drive would be better off with an automatic because I know a lot of people who seem to lack some feeling for the car handling and constantly overuse the brakes or upshift too early.
  11. I find that huge R&D building quite intimidating. For my performance, I mean. The new KSC hurts my performance so bad I have to run on quarter size textures. Hope this will not be the case.
  12. Without sandbox we wouldn't be having so much Scott Manley's epic experiments and Danny2462's craziness, but for me, the career mode should be what it's all about. As the game's title says - I want to manage my own space program. Even playing freely I could experience the thrill of building stuff that works, but I want to start out with early and inefficient rockets and be able to barely launch sattelites and make my way to the tech that could allow me to make round trip ships and such.
  13. Opsesija mi je pronaći idealni reuseable tanker da potegne do LKO i uspije dostaviti bar jedan onaj tank srednje veliÄÂine pun goriva.
  14. How much of a payload can you carry in orbit with this beauty?
  15. I can tell you how I do it, but I'm sure I do something wrong. - After liftoff keep lifting the nose to around 45° - When the speed exceeds around... idk, 80 m/s, you can tilt up a little bit more. I'm still not sure what the sweet spot is, maybe 60°, maybe less, but anyway, aim to get as much vertical speed (the little gauge near the altitude) as possible so that you can gain altitude fast - While the plane rises, get yourself a snack, this may take a while - When you hit the 20km altitude mark, start pitching down slowly, drop down to 40° or 30°, that is, make sure that the plane is climbing still, but start reducing climbing speed so that you can control it easier. - Let it rise gently to 24km. This is where the air is much thinner, the resistance is lower, so you'll pick significant speed. Just keep your eye on your intake air and be careful not to run out of it. - Keep it at around 24 to 25 km, you can go even higher, as long as you have intake, just be careful not to let the jet engines choke. Now is the time to get as much horizontal speed as you possibly can. Aim for around 1400 m/s or more -This is where your jet fuel should be very low, so you can use it all up and while you're at it pitch up gently just before it runs out, to, dunno, 30° or such, and activate your rocket engine - At the first part of the rocket burn keep it at that positive angle for a while to lift up your apoapsis, and as you rise out of the atmosphere, start leveling it to get more horizontal speed - Pray that you have enough fuel to make an orbit out of this
  16. I installed win8 on my laptop and it's still there, but on the laptop I use Ubuntu 99% of the time anyway. It's not much of a better or worse system than Windows 7, it does eat up somewhat less RAM and has some nicely updated software like the task manager and the windows explorer, but there are some things that are quite annoying. The greatest problem of course is the Metro interface. Although I kinda like the new redesign and the new Windows visual identity with the sharp corners and all, the interface itself is really badly concieved and it simply looks like in their quest to present it as something amazingly intuitive, they actually made it more complicated. Unity had it's share of criticism, but it really just needed some time to get used to. It does have some "overly inventive" features being crammed in there, but it makes sense and works quite well. Metro, on the other hand managed to hide the shut down button in the options sidebar, makes launching applications actually more difficult unless you have a touchscreen, and the Metro apps are complete and utter bull**it. The Mail app doesn't even support POP, the settings app is useless as it has limited options, and you actually have to go into Control Panel like always in order to change anything, and for some reason, you need to link the computer to your Microsoft/hotmail/whatever account.
  17. I don't understand why someone wouldn't want KSP to become popular. As long as it doesn't affect the development of the game, of course, but I really doubt that Squad would so easily orient themselves more to the "mainstream". As long as the development continues in the right direction, I actually wish that this awesome game becomes as popular as possible because it deserves to be, and the devs deserve that money. I don't think KSP will reach the popularity of Minecraft, though, simply because it's a very difficult game. An average gamer can be quite good at Minecraft, survive and build wonderful stuff, but he will probably struggle with reaching orbit with a rocket in KSP, not to mention how frustrating would it be for that person to try and fly a quickly assembled spaceplane. But I think that literally everyone interested in space will at least give it a shot.
  18. Since Aerospikes seem to be more efficient, especially on spaceplanes, I tried to put one instead of that ordinary rocket engine, but it doesn't fit in between the jet engines. Maybe I'll try some further modifications, but knowing myself, I'll probably strap on way too many stuff on it to the point where it won't be so nice and light. As for deorbiting, you're right, it needs amazingly little fuel for that. Very nice ship.
  19. Dude. This has to be the coolest creation I ever saw in KSP. That detachable rover concept really blew my mind.
  20. Looks awesome, really cute and is easy to fly. Still, it would need some more fuel for that rocket engine to be able to safely orbit and deorbit. I'm using it to carry fuel to my station, so I can use up some of the payload if it gets messy, but then I arrive almost empty handed
  21. Evo konaÄÂno i SS moje žalosne stanice.
  22. It all depends on what the developers will be able to do with it. The API is out for some time now, so maybe someone invents something amazing. But apart from that, yeah, it's pretty much a great camera device for a quick video shot and something that should look and feel mega cool and futuristic.
  23. I still have a floppy drive in my PC. I mean, I could have taken it out when I did the last upgrade, but that would leave me with an ugly hole in the front of the case. And while it's there, it might as well be plugged in and working. I even used it a couple of times
