  1. so iv notice the the struts and fuel lines are  not staying attached after save, launching or just saving.

so my builds with struts and fuel lines are unattaching them selves after a save of said craft file or when one removes a part set  ie. boosters with sepatrons  as i build them one at a time then attach them to the main ship.

and with the file structure i do not know where to fine a log file to include with this post.

  2. Hi so I was wondering  if  ultra wide displays options will be on the table.

I have an Asus XG49v 31:9 -3840*1080 144Hz  screen works grate for KSP1 in full screen but KSP 2  well not so good in full screen and only 1920*1080 @60Hz.

I know its only the first few days of the beta dropping. Here's hopping I can enjoy KSP in Full Ultra Wide 31:9 @144Hz in the near future.

At least that's where you can find your saved craft

thank you.  not sure why I/we cant see part folders and all the associated files  all in one main folder, like KSP 1. I dislike having to go through my computer just to fine files for a program.

  4. well what did  I do? well lets see  build rocket it went BOOM! rinse and repeat, got to space YAAA! game crashed Boo lol.  now Im looking or trying to look at the file structure of parts but  I can not seem to find any thing remotely to a part folders so were is it. that is my question.

    Yep.

For such a quirky little game - its pretty awesome.  Love the original story about a little studio out of Mexico City who found a hit on their hands.

The Story Of Kerbal Space Program - Game Informer

What an incredible challenge it must be to follow up on something that was unexpectedly a hit.  There is a risk: they could put out something like (all) the follow-on games to Medieval Total War, where the drive to provide great visuals came at the cost of core game design and a loss of understanding of what made the previous two games great... and still see success, despite the lingering disappointment of true fans.  Or they could, maybe, make something that is a worthy successor - presuming they stay true to the things that made KSP great.

I don't envy Nate his challenges... but I honestly think he's fairly perfect to be the guy shepherding this towards completion.

Thanks for the share I really like reading the story you linked, it was insightful.

    The first three are identical.

Create a directory called "000" and copy one of each of the three into it.

You will probably get a message from ZeroMiniAvc looking like the following.  In this specific case, you can ignore it:

    U0F1SGF.png

    Pic was deleted

    C:\Kerbal Space Program 1.12.1\GameData\000\Plugins

ZeroMiniAvc i'v never seen that popup before.

    pic link should work

Holy Toledo I have not seen those parts in so long I forgot how many were there now I can actually reconstruct it thank you so much. I don't know how you did it so fast I've been spending years trying to figure it out.

this is what i had now I get to add more before I start launching.

    Squad strikes again!

Your log file talks about "Cannot resolve assembly: KSPDEev_Utils_.2.6"

it's actually there, but in (now) the wrong spot.  Squad changed the way KSP loads dlls in 1.12.

The file es in KIS/Plugins, if you move it into a directory called "000" in GameData, that will resolve that specific problem.

The same goes for the KSPDev_Utils.2.6-EVS.dll  and KSPDev_Utils.2.6-KAS.dll. Move them into the "000" folder and all the errors related to those will go away

There are still other issues, unfortunately

so just to make sure I'm understanding.

    C:\Kerbal Space Program 1.12.1\GameData\KIS\Plugins\000\KSPDev_Utils.2.6

    C:\Kerbal Space Program 1.12.1\GameData\KIS\000_Plugins\KSPDev_Utils.2.6

    C:\Kerbal Space Program 1.12.1\GameData\000_KISPlugins\KSPDev_Utils.2.6

    and for the other one

    C:\Kerbal Space Program 1.12.1\GameData\KAS\Plugins\000\ KSPDev_Utils.2.6-EVS.dll

    C:\Kerbal Space Program 1.12.1\GameData\EasyVesselSwitch\Plugins\000\KSPDev_Utils.2.6-KAS.dll

    I got the parts working

Some of the parts were moved around and the models had the wrong path

There were also a couple of old parts which referenced the wrong part type

After doing all these changes (including the DLL stuff I mentioned above) all parts are now showing up

OH my Gosh !!!! really?? wow!! thank you so much

I can't wait to load them up, loading game.

I just redid the model directory. Hopefully that works.

Relaunched game with new files and "sigh" It did not work.

I was lucky to have saved my Iss build so I tryed loading it saying  missing part ISSELC4, amongst a few others.

could this be a naming thing?

Perhaps I misunderstood your post, I thought you were looking for help getting mods from others updated, not ones you distributed yourself.

Knowing what the mods were would make helping easier, but do carry on.

These are not mine in any way; I'v found them from when I started playing KSP back in 2012 but did not hit up modding till I could fly to jool and back so long ago..., man how the game has evolved.

The only thing I could call my own would be the edits I've made to keep them working as long as I could. I've dropped all but 2 of them because I could not find a way to fix them, i.e my C# skills suck.
The ISS pack is in my top 10 must have's. Who wouldn't want to have their very own ISS in orbit?
Sorry if I gave the intention that the parts were my creation.

umm oh wow... what did you do? if you cool in telling me? might be out of my skill zone but if I have a starting point I think I could do some thing. ;)

this is the complete part pack as I have it in my data folder does include the jool as a few others I made I guess

  13. thank you all for your responses.

Randazzo   My apologies that my original post was not more detailed and forthcoming but I felt that that was a lot of information to post on a first thread and figured those who are interested that wanted to help me out then I can give them more information directly but again thank you for your response.

@AtomicTech   Thank you I really  appreciate it.

OK so the parts I have that need recompiling or where ever it is called. im not sure what you all would like me to post, so i will post one part that I know that does not load from  each part pack.

I have ran the game as a vanilla just KSP then DLC's

these parts I found back in 2012 and 2018

this is from my ISS pack https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2mi1v62req94srp/AAB9wuSapmS1d7QuX2brwgZBa?dl=0

this is from my Jool-v pack https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7dhhltewn7c7d3a/AACeWEjt3BFDFDFIOUVGlD1Ha?dl=0

    Mod list https://www.dropbox.com/s/tek3aew5i7lcizy/KSPmodlist20220112.txt?dl=0

I hope this helps ill give you more info just let me know what you need.

I would like to be able to do as much as I can my self with your expertise, and for the real big experts out there can be some compensation for your time, further discussion on this would be done in private obviously.

I should mention I did get the Iss parts to work a week age but it pooped all over the place, good thing is I did not have it in orbit, as I just finished the dry construction in the editor the night before was about to start my orbital construction.

so on one hand Im thinking some of my parts may have a dependency I know my ISS mod requires infernal robotics which I do have installed and does work there must be a Kraken in the woodwork.

  14. Good Day, All

I hope this is the right place to post this.

So I have a bunch of part mods no .dll's that Iv collected over the years, as there creators moved on to bigger and better things.

So what I want to do is have them work with 1.12.* .

As they are just parts I'm not sure what to do, some load and some don't and some will load then just stop all of a sudden.

So how can I fix these wonderful parts?  Most of them have to do with the ISS.

    thanks.

You do know, that just because a mod has not been labeled for, or specifically updated for newer KSP versions, does *not* mean the mod doesn't/wont work... Especially parts only mods... Tho I dont remember if this one has or requires specific plugins

Well of course I do, I also know that they can brake your saves or the game will not even work. I have found  by using mod that are not for the game version  i'm on don't always give me the intended out come.

using mods that are not set up for the game version your on in my experience only leads to poor game play, bugs and the big one corruption  of my saves.

not saying this will happen all the time but how much time does one  put in to there mod list so it works as desired to find out the one mod that you really like thats out dated and your game just pukes.  not to mention this mod is at 1.4 and not to sure what version of KSP it was  for.

I'll be patient if the author decides to update it then right-on if not so be it,  I'll move on.

thanks for your post,  have a wonderful day and Merry Christmas
