As long as I don't fly space planes. Those have a higher fatality rate then rockets. At least for myself.

What's your favorite not commonly known Kerbal?
Aragosnat replied to way2smrt's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I like Burcan. Kind of sounds like a pirate name. At least for myself. -
What is at 7000 m in Kerbin atmosphere ?
Aragosnat replied to ASnogarD's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Yes. More struts. As I would have struted that thing up completely to each other and the central tank. Wisdom of smaller rockets plays big parts. -
How long did it take you to dock ...
Aragosnat replied to StainlessSteelRat's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Docked manually without aids. Did take a few hours due to manuevering a pig of a ship as well cheated in more RSC fuel (did not want to spend time getting another ship there) . Best place to try it was around Minmus so I could have smaller orbits at lower orbital speeds. -
My bad then. And well both look like the same ship. XD Should have added more detail to what was done in each picture. But, also I'm still slightly correct too. Depending on when you throttled to cooled down. You could have still saved a little bit in fuel. And also the lag that thing must have. Like another said physics catching up and what I have mentioned. Now the question is which one was the asperagis and which one was not or where the both veggies?
-
Yeah. IT is called the atmosphere was slowing you down as you where using to much thrust. Weird I know. Basic speed guid in order to have best fuel efficency is Under 10 km is 250 m/s (only one I know for sure) 10-20 km speedshould be under 800 m/s might be able to go as high as 1000 m/s; 20-30 km is under 1200 m/s somewhere. I know there was a guide to how fast you should go somewhere. But,basicly if you are getting flames to appear around your ship. You are wasting fuel by pushing to hard gainst what little or a lot of air is there.

Docking on the ground (again I think)
Aragosnat replied to CreepyD's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Yeah. I do agree the should have docked sooner. Most likely it was that you where very very slightly off angle from docking. AS I know that the other wheels if they are not the same mass they will have trouble docking too. Which was the reason why they used landing gears to dock -
If you don't mind cheating a little. You could have edited in a ship that is similar in desing with a docking port or go worse and just give yourself enough fuel to get home. Hey. That kerbal might have found some anyways.

VAB - How to Place Wheels
Aragosnat replied to zlaxys's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
What wheels are you trying to use? The standard ones are easy to figure out. _/ <- lowest part is the wheel high part is what attaches. The new wheels the big uns that dont are not on long poles. The attached part orientation should look like this loosely. \_/ <- If you got it to look like that then it will turn properly. At least for myself -
Have to agree with rryy assesment. Even if it looks balanced the rover could be just the tinest bit off. And that is all it needs for it to spin out of control. The only thing I can sugest is. Pulling the rover by the nose. In short change the rover CoM to the other plane one as that will allow you to use a nice docking port there. But, I understand your reason for doing it like you have.

Spaceplanes - how do they work?
Aragosnat replied to mellojoe's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
That sounds like a good idea. As right now landing one for me requires parachutes to land. Edit: Another thing is you also have to worry about how balanced the top and bottom of the plane is. As any imbalances off the CoM will make it spin if using thrust greater then the torq can handle. -
Can't get to a planet and back
Aragosnat replied to Ultermarto's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Hold "alt" while hitting the fast forwards. That allows you to warp while throttled up. But, be warned physics that KSP uses my shake your craft apart and brake it to bits. You have been warned and will be so by the game too. -
How to make a turbojet engine work?
Aragosnat replied to Gary_P's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
A picture would help too. And like the others have said. Got air intake? Also don't need a battery right now unless it is a probe vehicle. -
SSTO tumbles when leaving atmosphere
Aragosnat replied to Bojac6's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Yeah. I had that problem as well. The tail wings are most likely the colpreate at high speeds and high altitudes. I have stopped using tail fins and the conrads (little wings in front) altogether now as you can see in this pic. -
One can also seed the Mün and Minmüs with can landers or probes that have pods that don't have Kerbals in them so that any dropped Kerbal has a nice place to refuel their packs or just have a manned one to swap Kerbals in and out.
-
Yeah. I accidently found that one too. Sent my rover over to it that I had on my ship (which was the point of my sending the rover in the first place).. When the flags came out. I then sent my colony start there and planted the Flag near the very top. Bugger likes turning. =.= Also called the arc Walt Disney and it will be a place of fun where Kerbals can play.
-
The only problem with your base other then the lag you might have when bringing in another ship / rover to it is... You will have a problem getting to the docking ports due to the landing gears. Unless you use a long tube to connect to it so that the rover wheels don't touch the landing gears as well as making sure that the rover is ballanced too. Other then that. It looks good enjoy.
-
Well. I can tell you what I did yestday that I'm quite pleased and happy about. Put up a SSTO space place in orbit around Kerbin with a Ae of 134 km about thanks to the power of doughnutz as you can see in the pic. I even have a little bit left over to try a return attempt or wait for another ship to refuel it.
-
59 missions so far. Been bumping up and down from 60 since I'm trying to make a SSTO space plane to work.
-
The first place I did a successful docking was around Minmus. Due to the fact one can have slower orbital speeds and smaller orbits. Two things to remember. Have a nuke battery and head lights facing away from the docking port on your docing craft. Second make sure you have a lot of RCS fuel and set up the docking controls to your liking.

How long has your save game been running?
Aragosnat replied to XenonSpark's topic in KSP1 Discussion
All major planets except Eeloo have a probe around them. Eve and Kerbin all have probes around their moons. Hence my siggy has all the stuff I have Duna so far. -

Year 3x something something.. All I know is I have yet to reach year 40. -
Yeah. For large things one would need a lot on the ends and certainly don't epect it to turn on a dime. Edit: Ends I mean the outer edges farthest from the center of the universe. Errr. I mean tank.

Guys, What is the download size of the full version of KSP?
Aragosnat replied to Daman453's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Wait till you get up in the 500+ parts. Then see if it can handle it.. -
Read a book. Yes. You know that thing with symbols on something called paper and or chat on RSI chat forums while I burn with Ions.
