  1. 1. BOTH 2. If this is a firewall rule timeout, either something long or turn it off if you can. If the server is down for the length of the timeout, I believe the exception you made for it will be deleted (could be mistaken) 3. Whatever port is configured for the server (not the httpPort, default is 2076). KMP isn't an FTP server--that's a special kind of server just for transferring ordinary files around.
  2. In the current version the client often isn't getting disconnected correctly when the server hangs up on you for one reason or another (name taken, full, etc)--instead you get the behavior you're seeing. This was a known-issue heading into the release and should hopefully be fixed in the not too distant future. If you have any contact with the server admin, they may be able to see what's wrong from the disconnection message.
  3. Tracking the CentOS issue here--seems to be due to me fscking up the sqlite3 dependencies
  4. Happy to hear it! I'll make this more clear in the next version of the server README
  5. This isn't too unexpected if someone else is controlling the vessel--as you get within actual physics simulation range KMP should (attempt to) switch from the less-accurate orbital positioning to "rendezvous-mode" positioning (which is much more accurate but demands a low ping & good performance on both ends to work right). If you're seeing this happen with a vessel that isn't controlled by someone else, well you've apparently found an extra special bug!
  6. The server only commits the universe to disk every few minutes for performance reasons, but a server admin can force a save with "/save". Having so many eyeballs on things today has helped iron out many bugs already, so eventually it might even be stable!
  7. The ship is public when the button actually says "Public"--is it possible my extra-good UI is just confusing?
  8. Not getting much other work done right now for some reason... Go figure...
  9. That's either a problem with his install or a bug--try to prod him into reporting it on GitHub if you can, as I'll probably need his KSP log to figure it out if it's a bug.
  10. Don't worry, I'll be changing the default in a future release--just been busy putting out bigger fires so far than an issue that has a good workaround.
  11. Getting there bit-by-bit! Let me know if you're able to reproduce that privacy bug--haven't seen one of those myself since several weeks ago.
  12. This is a common issue with some other app having grabbed port 80 before KMP can (most commonly due to Skype so far)--change your httpPort to something else and you should be good to go.
  13. I really would not be surprised if you get another chance soon enough *sigh
  14. I'd like to do that (most especially when I noticed how close to the edge it was during "bubble testing"), but there's a few other technical obstacles that get in the way right now. Hopefully doable for a future version.
  15. I've seen that in pre-release testing--please dump KSP's log on GitHub if you can, and note what you were doing at the time (especially if near other active players). I'm willing to bet there's a large pile of NullReferenceException's in the logs...
  16. Copy the whole smash to pastebin and then post a link on GitHub
  17. Please note the details right here if you get the chance.
  18. Apparently the log name can vary from platform to platform(?), but yes just looking for KSP's normal debug log.
  19. 'Impossible' and 'we don't plan to try for it' are two different things. Also, have you considered the possibility that I may, in fact, be a wizard?
  20. The UDP connection is supposed to be re-established automatically when possible, so you may be losing the TCP connection as well if you seem fully disconnected. Might be a server load issue, but only starting to get reports on this particular one.
  21. Shouldn't need to do any firewall tweaking on the client side. Please drop your [KSP folder]\KSP.log file on Github if you're able. Thanks!
  22. Drop your [KSP folder]\KSP.log file on Github (maybe via pastebin) if you can. Thanks!
