  1. I can reach anywhere in the kerbol system without using those ion engines. And with a smaller burn time. Most people just prefer NERVAs.
  2. This the first craft I have shared for a long time. (Since before the April purge) Introducing the B-52 Stratofortress I designed this craft as an all stock model based on the B-52 Stratofortress. It actually flies quite nicely despite its bulky appearance. This model features swept wings and dual intakes. Unfortunately, it is not designed as a bomber. Flight Characteristics: -Has the ability to reach any place on Kerbin -Cruising altitude: ~25km -Speed: ~1.6 km/s at 25km -(You could go a little higher and faster if you know what you are doing) -This aircraft is flown the way any other upper atmosphere craft is to be flown Just after takeoff Travelling at cruising altitude and cruising speed >>> Download <<< Modifying this craft The aircraft I have provided does nothing but fly with the file I provided. Modifications to the craft, however, can extend its capabilities. Here are some ideas and things I have tried: -Mounting drop tanks on the wings -Attaching scientific gear on the front, back and sides (dont forget electricity) -Theoretically, mounting a small probe on top could allow it to easily get into space. You would have to make the rudder smaller, though. Have fun!
  3. Recently, I have been thinking that the science system has been missing something. I realized today that it is the use of space stations. Would it be possible to make space stations useful for science? My tangent: -By this, I mean that perhaps one could conduct an experiment on the effects of weightlessness on kerbals after 1 (week, month, year?) in a space station. -Obviously, this wouldn't be the only experiment of this type. -Maybe that new science lab that squad showed us could be the part of a space station that generates long term science. -Maybe you would get the science by returning the experiments from the space station to kerbin, rotating crew members, etc. What do you guys think about this?
  4. Granted but you are mistaken for Jeb and are put through suicidal flight tests. I wish I knew what to wish for.
  5. I have always wanted to know: Why does it seem that unity is so reluctant to include multi-core support? Is it hard to do?
  6. Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz (Am I past the 10 character limit yet?) (Why did it break this reasonably long word up? It won't let me fix it)
  7. Granted but nobody is really sure why they wanted it. I wish for progress not congress
  8. It's pretty clear that some moderators for minecraft servers love to abuse their power as they have no checks and balances on servers.
  9. Unlockable maneuver nodes seems like a good idea. It would be best if it appeared early in the tech tree, though.
  10. I think it would be cool to have long term science experiments in space stations to give a bigger incentive to make them.
  11. Twice. Both on the mun. Both involved a kerbal hitting the ground (not fast, though) then everything goes black and altimeter goes berserk.
  12. The Ion engine actually produces more thrust than you may think. 0.5 KN (500 Newtons) equates to just about 51 Kg or 113 pounds of thrust. That is much more than an actual ion engine produces. Obviously, though, we (some of us) have other things to do with our time than wait for burns to complete with engines that have less push than a piece of paper.
  13. Deleting mods that don't add parts has (in most cases) no impact. I believe that even if you do delete mods that add parts, you will have ships with unidentified parts removed from the persistence file and inaccessible in the VAB/SPH.
  14. I can reach any place in the solar system with a NERVA, and with shorter burn times.
  15. 92% of votes to KSP. Wow that's impressive considering Eve, in second place, is getting 4% of the votes.
  16. In all likelihood, 0.23 will be ready in about a month.
  17. You know, my old account would have survived if it had been created just a few weeks earlier. Unfortunately, my account was swallowed by the crash. I lost motivation for a little while after that.
  18. I suppose that part clipping can change the shape of the rocket but not the overall mass so it doesn't really give any advantages. I am going to say no. Anyways, I usually just enable it when I am unable to attach a part to a place I think I should be able to.
  19. Well, KSP is currently in the lead just ahead of eve so if the vote is being tallied right now, we would win.
