  1. You need an empty object in unity, called dockingNode. put it at the same location you've made your attachment node at. Z-axis facing out. Then make sure nodeType is the same as whatever dockingport parts you want it to connect with.
  2. I'm putting up a new version with the newest copies of SmokeScreen and ModuleManager. Keep in mind, if there are any issues with those dlls and other mods, they will still need to be resolved by each plugin author.

  4. Squad added a new method to create them, but the smokescreen mod gives the ability to fine tune settings and make fx do more stuff. yep. If you want the squad ones back remove the nasa_hotrockets config in the mod folder.

  9. I'm referring to the file nasa_hotrockets.cfg - you need to use a different method because the nasa engines use the new system, the other stock engines use the old one:
  10. edit the size parameter within your custom effect. You will need Smokescreen plugin which comes with HotRockets. Check out some of my configs to see how they are done. Use the same method I used for the Nasa patch in this mod. The Nasa srb isn't ignoring anything, I just didn't make a config for it because i think it looks ok.

  12. OMS need to be gimbaled. The only time they don't is on the original KSO where you could have 3 of them aligned with the CoM. When you have two high on the rear of the shuttle, they must be angled to align with the shuttle's CoM.

  14. The smoke will show if you install CoolRockets from Dtobi, and the sparks are small emitter parts from Dtobi's Shuttle Engines mod.

  16. Hey Fractal - any plans to make Interstellar compatible with ModuleEnginesFX? I created an entire set of new effects for the engines and planned to include them in HotRockets, but after one of the updates all of the engines with KSPI modules became non-functional.
