  1. That would be great! I'm all for having my parts fit in with all the available mods out there. Thank you!
  2. Those were made up by Taniwha, I believe, and were for the old version of the tanks that added so many different ones. I only linked to them. As this version has compatibility built in (for the regular fuels, not the real ones), I don't think anyone has made any that they have put up for general use yet.
  3. That was my initial intention, actually. I was only going to use the custom tanktype for the "utility" storage tanks (EL and Tac resources, etc). The main reasons I went with the custom one for the regular fuel tanks was because kethane wasn't an option on the default, and the custom utilizations/masses I used kept the tank capacities consistent with the earlier versions. When I did the math for these I used (what would be) the actual physical volume to compute capacity rather than the combined LF/Oxy that appears to be what is in use for the default tank types. It may be easier in the long run just to go to the defaults though...
  4. I've never played with the real fuels, but I expect it would just take a simple cfg change. I'll check into it. - edit - Yep, looks like the easiest way to accomplish this would be to make a modulemanager cfg that changed the tanktypes. I haven't done this before, but it doesn't look too complicated, so if I get one working, I'll add a link to it.
  5. Renaming the folders could also mess up any parts that uses MODEL nodes in the cfg files, because it references the folder name directly. I don't think any of Squads parts do this, however.
  6. The ones he linked to were actually created by Fusty. They are his active and passive CBM's. The ones that Sumghai are similar, but designed so that you can EVA through them from the hatches on the ends of his modules.
  7. The VOID mod has the capability now, I believe
  8. Glad you like them. I actually just made them for my own use to reduce part counts, and didn't intend to release them because I figured people would think they're too flimsy-looking. When I zipped up the pack I forgot to move them first, then I just decided to leave them in case someone got some use out of them.
  9. Texturing is definitely not my strong point, but I"ll take a stab at an improvement
  10. I forgot to integrate the hubs into the tech tree when I did the other parts. The update I put up yesterday fixed this. They'll be unlocked at the same level as the small and medium tanks (Heavier Rocketry). Sorry about that
  11. What did you have in mind? I grabbed the color directly from stock parts, and I ended up making the door and handles stand out because it kind of got lost, being so small and grey.
  12. Minor update to the pack. Here's the changes: v3.01 (minor update) - Added toroidal hubs to career mode technology tree - Added support for TAC Life Support mod resources to storage containers Resources for TAC Life Support mod were balanced using the large cylindrical containers in Taranis Elsu's mod. (and thanks for the ok to add the resource support to my tanks!)
  13. Good catch. I was intending on adding them all to the heavier rocketry tier. I'll get that in the next update. Thanks for pointing that out to me.
  14. No, these act the same way as command pods with the data storage but not the command-poddines, so there's still no way to transfer By all means share it! This would probably be an acceptable workaround for not being able to transfer data.
  15. Ok, I tested the containers paired with each of the stock command pods, and they appear to work with certain limitations. You can only "Store Data" while EVA'd, and you can only "Review Stored Data" while actively controlling the vessel that the container is attached to (Not EVA'd). Additionally, if you choose to "Transmit Data" from an antenna, it will automatically empty each container and send off the data in sequence. I haven't tried it on a rover equipped with an external seat, but I hope that one works as well.
  16. This is probably going to sound very critical, but my intention is to be be helpful so please read it with that in mind. Your mod has a very interesting premise, but it fills a very distinct niche and there are several other mods that offer (gameplay-wise) much the same thing, but look much more polished. If you are going to compete against similar mods, you really have 2 options: 1. Offer something that the others doesn't, that greatly enhances the gameplay. 2. Look way better than the other mods, in model and/or texturing. If your parts are beautiful as well as useful, people will run their game up to the memory limit in order to have them. Using my Spherical Tanks pack as an example, when I first released it there were few other options to get a round fuel tank. In all actuality, there still aren't many out there, and the ones that do exist are one or two specialized parts contained in other packs. Although my modelling and especially texturing skills were (and remain) well below those of some other mod makers out there, it seems to remain popular because it fills that particular niche well. My next point pertains to your comment here: If people are using your mod and not commenting, that tells me that they are happy with it are are actually playing the game instead of spending time on the forums. If people want to use your mod, but are unhappy with some detail of it they WILL let you know (trust me ) As for your thread, the title is fairly non-descriptive. Consider changing it so that it gives a blurb of what your pack actually contains rather than your corporation name. That may draw views from people who would otherwise skip over it. Also consider re-making your first post and going into detailed descriptions of what your pack offers. Break it down for people and sell it to them. Lastly (and a comment that I hesitate to add, because I don't want this to sound harsh, especially since my skills in this area are decidedly lacking) I would take the time to search out tutorials on modelling, texturing, and use of unity. Practice them, refine your parts, and improve the overall look. When you put up new features and/or parts, put a lot of detail about them, not just a list in changelog form. Ask people for feedback on specific things. Anyhow, I hope you take this in the spirit it was intended. In no way was I trying to be offensive with this reply.
  17. That won't be too hard. I'll grab his mod and add those resources to the storage tanks later today. This has been requested before, so I should have thought of it already.
  18. Hrm. I was using the Command Pod mk1 when I tested it. I'll check it out when I get home from work in a couple of hours and see if I can't see what's going on, if someone else doesn't beat me to it.
  19. I think this is a really good idea for an advanced version of this part. I mostly envisioned this one as a just a storage box so my kerbal could pick up more rocks and take them back home for study, but I can envision a part that allows a higher transmittion completion rate at the cost of being much larger/heavier and requiring a lot of power. Possibly a (relatively) portable mass spectrometer? The major downside to this idea would be that (I believe) the part should take quite a bit of research to unlock, so that by the time you got it, you really wouldn't need it much. Could help those of us who are completion fanatics though, trying to extract every bit of science from each location even if we don't need any more.
  20. Hmm. I was able to review and transmit it. It's possible that you have to be controlling the ship that the part is mounted on to do that, however. I don't think i tried to do anything other than store from EVA. It'll be a few hours before I can test this though.
  21. Unfortunately, I don't believe that much interpretation is allowed. Since he didn't clearly state a license, I think that it would be best to leave it alone. Squad has recently become pretty keen on enforcing licensing. This doesn't preclude someone with the proper skills (which definitely isn't me) from making their own version of the same product. You just can't use any of his assets to do it.
  22. Yep, I collected several and when I recovered the vessel it listed them all (with the expected diminishing returns)
  23. I don't know about the possibility to turn off the ability to transmit. This part uses the same module for data storage as the stock pods, so in that narrow respect it acts in the same manner. It's just a bit more convenient to get to sometimes, and lets me roleplay that I'm collecting rock samples
  24. Just a quick little part I made up. It's a radially attached part intended for kerbals to use to store experimental data while on EVA. It is located in the science tab and is integrated into the technology tree. To use, right click on the part while on EVA to store data. When it contains data, you may right click on the part to review stored data and either transmit or delete it. Download Thanks to Majiir for providing hosting for the files. 25. All right. Pack has been updated to combine spherical and toroidal packs, both enabled by the plugins. Main post updated. I'm taking cover!
