  1. Is the docking mode a true docking mode when it comes to resources ? Here's my situation: 3 ships: Tractor: Enough thrusters to land a few tons on the Mun, normal reservoirs Mono/Fuel/Oxi Driller: Kethane drills, landed there by itself, Mono/Fuel/Oxi/Kethane reservoirs Refinery: basically a tank, some winches, kethane reservoir, and the heavy converter, delivered by tractor When the tractor is docked to the refinery, it receives the converted matters from the refinery directly, but if it's attached with a winch on docked mode that won't happen... EDIT: Weird thing is that the drill is sending half it's production to the refinery through the winch
  2. For some reason the Heavy Converter stopped working, all this while it still had plenty of Kethane, power and space. Is it a problem if the space is on a docked tank ? because right now it will only convert monoprop when i do a little space for it, but not Fuel and Oxi...
  3. Is the landing guidance module working right ? i can't seem to get it to land where i need it to...
  4. I think you might have pointed me in the right direction, i'll take a look tomorrow but it does seem familiar. (now to find something i can extend some lights with once i'm landed...)
  5. I know this won't be obvious, but maybe someone knows. I saw a youtube video with a feature on the cockpit of the B9 Aerospace kit, but the docking ship it was attached to had a little extra: The 4 RCS thrusters were extended, by about a meter, through a context menu, allowing for better control. Now i am looking for that extending part for something else, and maybe apply it in the way i've seen it in the video.
  6. I'm doing something wrong with these launchers. Is the last stage supposed to stay on or is it a placeholder ? EDIT: I went back to the first posts, found my answer: Last stage = placeholder of the weight it can lift.
  7. I run KSP with a... i3-2330m and 8 gigs of ram shared with the video card, an Intel HD 3000. Obviously i dropped the quality accordingly, but i still don't get how i can play a 720p youtube video at the same time without much of a framerate change. Actualy the only thing bothering me is the cuts in the sound. edit:(obviously a laptop)
  8. Mechjeb is basically the easy button. In my case, i'm having it do my node manoeuvers because i always crap out either on the time warp, the duration or the strenght of the throttle. Jeb gets it right to a margin orders of magnitude better than what i can do by hand.
  9. Usually, when two docking ports get close enough and well aligned, the magnets do the rest. The only explanation i could see is that your docking port could be upside down. A quick screenshot will get us an answer I think the MIR/Shuttle docking was in mm/s... 33 mm/s according to the wikipedia page on STS-71, when the first docking occured.
  10. Thanks for both your replies, it makes total sense now that i know how this works (The old backed up save didn't have the station, so i guess i'm bringing back the normal one)
  11. I've had this happen to me twice this week, a station i build in 2-3 flights gets deleted because i hit end flight instead of all the other options. Now i tried copying the "quicksave" file over the "persistent" one, it didn,t work. Now i'm wondering how the save files work in the game. I have a backup dating from two days ago, the directory is named after my game. Did i need to copy other files for my backup ? Will putting the old persistent and quicksave files back on there be enough?
  12. Hey Coz, Tell me it's because of my facebook cover picture that you tried this, been on it for almost 2 seeks now and it's awesome! (hoping the nickname will reconnect with one of your Eve-O Brutopia buddies from a bit ago)
  13. I want to thank you for making the common berthing! I made my frist station and the larger connectors saved me a lot of wobble. I was even able to burn it to a higher orbit
  14. Hello there Kerbonauts, I'm just about amazed at this game got the full yesterday and basically spent the last hour making a simple module for catching and deorbiting the numerous debris i left behind (it's a bit messy but using the KAS winch proved itself useful) I've already crashed into Mun.
