  1. Maybe I design enormous rockets, but I find the Skipper engine far more versatile for an upper stage + orbiter engine for my payloads.
  2. I've noticed one thing in all of my years of playing Kerbal Space Program ever since the Poodle Engine came about: It is really useless. It's meagre thrust coupled with its high weight means that it simply is not powerful enough to get the job done. I seriously think Squad should lower its weight, increase its thrust, or mess with it's Delta-V, because it's pretty much useless for anything but landers.
  3. Sadly I don't have a picture, but I once made a plane with a single EVA command seat and I flew it around those rocky islands on the coast of Kerbin (the one with the abandoned air strip and another one) seeing just how close I could fly to the surface without destroying my vessel/kerbal. Surprisingly, I didn't crash.
  4. How to use THE KLAW: Step 1: Arm that sucker. It's never gonna grab a thing if it isn't ready! Step 2: Get close to whatever object you wish to grab, be it plucky intern, spacecraft, asteroid, the ground, your sack lunch for later in the day, etc. Step 3: Gently get closer to your intern/spacecraft/asteroid/ground/sandwich until the klaw's mystical powers activate and it attaches to your favorite object. Step 4: Now that you have your object in your clutches, feel free to do whatever you want with it. Maybe that intern will learn a thing once he experiences re-entry firsthand. Step 5 (ASTEROIDS ONLY!!): Once you have grabbed your favorite/most attractive asteroid, right click it and select "Target Center of Mass". Oh, you can also re-name it. Maybe you can name it George and love it and hug him and pet him. Step 6 (ASTEROIDS ONLY!!): Right click on THE KLAW and select "free pivot". This allows you to rotate your spacecraft (mostly) independently from your asteroid. Rotate your spaceship until the heading marker and the target marker are aligned. Step 7 (ASTEROIDS ONLY!!): Right click THE KLAW again, and select "lock pivot". You may have to free the pivot again and rotate again, as it can take a few tries to get the heading marker and the target marker aligned as close as possible. Step 8 (ASTEROIDS ONLY!!): By now, your heading and your target marker should be in-line, which means that if you thrust, your new pet asteroid named George will not spiral madly out of control. Feel free to do whatever you'd like with it now.
  5. All of my airplanes are designed so that in the event of a rough landing, the rest of the ship is designed to explode in a (mostly) controlled manner, slowing down the cockpit so it does not explodify upon "lithobraking".
  6. I hate it when I'm drivin' my new set of wheels on the Mun and -whoops!- Jebediah falls out of his chair from intense space-euphoria and his new vegetable-like state of catatonia renders him as a piece of debris.
  7. I made a pretty rad lookin' truck. No pictures right now, sadly.
  8. I'm not sure if anybody read my post, but I'd like some images explaining how to install this.
  9. How do I get this to work? I have had a lot of trouble downloading this, if anybody could post some images helping me that'd be great!
  10. What about a transformer? (For electricity) or assorted pipes and bits that run on the side of your rockets?
  11. Alright, this is an idea for a part I had, but the model is up to you! Just make sure it has a lot of useless doodads and gizmos and pipes. Thrust: 2000 ISP (Sea Level): 250 ISP (Vacuum): 300 Gimbal Range: 3 Mass: Up to you, just make it really heavy. Produces 3 electric charge a sec. Large part.
