NP also has a 2.5m NERVA (Nuclear) rocket, which is excellent for making extremely large vessels. But the reason I'd want to uninstall is to try out your flavor of stock tree reordering. Certainly when your reordering of NP/KW, etc comes out I'll reinstall NP again. Maybe even KW if I can keep it all under the 3.5gig limit.

I'm quite impressed at just how many mods are updating themselves for 0.22 immediately, many of them including tech tree integration. It's almost as if they had some prior warning on how it worked. I was surprised to see that some big mods like NovaPunch and Kethane were updated within about 12 hours after release. Anyways, bravo to all those modders, and those who will be releasing their 0.22 updates shortly.

Steam downloaded 5 minutes after I saw that the update was available. Surprisingly (it usually takes 30-60 minutes to do this on any other game) the patch was downloaded within 10 minutes and I was playing 5 minutes later. Speedy. Simple. Steam.

http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Eve The wiki says Eve's atmosphere extends to 96709m. You also want to watch out for the highest mountain peak at roughly 7500m. So it sounds like 97km is a good judgement. The camera also shifts view once your apoasis and periapsis both rise above the atmosphere.

Set the Kerbal Alarm Clock and timewarp to that date?

What do you want to see in .23

Enhanced IVAs would be my dream. Then my space station can be used to its full potential. -
Are you under NDA? If not, I think you'll be fine with posting it. Folks here post screenshots of KSP all the time to share and discuss. This is no different.

Interesting tool. I'm honestly not sure how useful it will be, I was kind of hoping for a diagram or image of the parts in the arrangement of the craft. I'm not sure if that's possible, but knowing which parts are connected to which might be quite useful. Another issue is using the source names rather than the names displayed in KSP, some mods have very eccentric names for their part files that I'd rather not memorize. Surely the friendly name must be available somewhere without loading KSP?

I usually have less problems with friction and more problems with gravity. Minmus seems to be the biggest culprit, I had a small rover there that I landed and it flipped end over end for, literally, 40 minutes. I went out to dinner and came back to it still flipping. I eventually had to redesign it to spread out its mass a bit more so it wouldn't flip as easily. I also lost a Kerbal on EVA due to the way it came down on an unassisted jump. The Kerbal bounced, then bounced over a ridge which gave it far too much air time so it landed face first at about 20 m/s. Crunch went the Kerbal. Yeah, I hate Minmus.

Kerbonaut Suit colors automatic updaing

Interesting proposal. I'm curious, however, when the forceJumpsuit variable would be true. What defines launch and re-entry for the game? Is there already a mechanism or would that have to be created? If there isn't, what would you recommend for that definition? -
KSP need some simulation mode
jordanjay29 replied to Ghost13's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
We need revert flight to have options for stable, non-eccentric orbits as reverting points. You should also learn Quicksave and Quickload, on Windows it's F5 and F9 respectively, and it will let you save (when you're throttled down and not about to crash) and reload a craft. Perfect for screwing up Mun descents over and over and over again. -
I'm really looking forward to enhanced IVA, I find myself building Space Stations that turn up quite empty because traveling between compartments requires EVAs or mods. I'd also like the ability to do real science and have it count for something. I hope that there will be a central knowledge base with the results of all the science that I've done so far, so I can go back and check something or just look at my progress thus far. It would also give me more motivation to explore Kerbin itself; I haven't even been to the polar launch site due to disinterest. Finally, I'm eagerly awaiting the day when resources are built into KSP. I enjoy Kethane well enough, but it will be very interesting when I can have a mining operation on an asteroid for one component, on the Mun for another, Minmus for a third, and so on, in order to build something really special.

Kerbonaut Suit colors automatic updaing

Any basis for that statement? Are you a KSP developer? Have you worked with Unity? Are you familiar with how coding works? -
I can't read that font you're using on the pics, could you switch to something legible? Otherwise, a good start, it's nice to see someone building a whole set before they release.

Mobius RocketWorks - Engine Mounts and Parts

Cool. Since they're all one part, what about coloring it all orange so it doesn't look like a bunch of tail-pieces stuck on? -
[1.0.4] SciFi Shipyards [Discontinued]
jordanjay29 replied to StarVision's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Certainly not, that'd just be silly. Maybe a Dyson Sphere, though... -
THANK YOU! I can't tell you how much I agree that this is an idiotic idea. We can't agree on funding to go back to the moon or go forward to Mars, but apparently we have the funding for an asteroid lasso?

[1.0.2] NovaPunch 2.09. - May 6th - 1.0 Compatibility Update
jordanjay29 replied to Tiberion's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
As long as the decoupler will actually work this time. -
I hate those. It helps to know where to tweak my rocket and add more struts, but there are those failures even when the rocket is strutted all to hell. Bleh. Anyway, great job on this mechanism. I'm curious what would happen if you had two legs pointed the same way and simply retracted one. Would it fall more gently and have a greater chance of preserving the cargo?
-
OP, have you tried ORDA or HydroJeb? Those might be a suitable, lightweight solution for docking assistance if that's all you need.

Fairly large RCS powered probe
jordanjay29 replied to Dual_Boot's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
And this is using just RCS? Yikes, you must have LOOOOOOOONG burn times for manuevers.
