.24 Lets give the Kerbals some love.
minerman30 replied to Motokid600's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I know, that, I'm just saying that that is very not-realistic, and may pave the way for KSP becoming "The Sims: Mün Edition". -
99 Cent Mods anyone?
minerman30 replied to DeeplyLovesCoffee's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Yeah, no. First of all, microtransactions are one of the things that, no matter how bad the game gets, will never be in it. Also, there will never be a market for those kind of people, as you are the second, maybe third, person I've seen that wants this. Second, the only problem with the game is the 32-bit 3.5GB RAM limit. When KSP goes 64-bit, you'll be able to use a lot more mods, but only if you have more that 4GB of ram. Third, if all that's wrong is game crashes, try this texture reduction mod: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/59005-0-23-Release-2-15-Active-Texture-Management-Save-RAM-without-reduction-packs%21 -
My idea on how colonization could work
minerman30 replied to skyace65's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
He never once forced his ideas on you. All he did was suggest a game that would work better for this idea. That response was completely unnecessary and unprovoked. Also, I think that the OP's suggestion doesn't fit the tone of the game, with set "levels" of bases and different tasks they do with none of the necessary equipment for it. The game is meant for you to build your own ships, not the game doing it for you. Also, please use proper grammar next time. -
Support for Screen Readers
minerman30 replied to railbuff87's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Although this would seem like a good idea, the type of game that this is would not seem like something that could be done realistically. The game updates itself 20-30 times a second, and it is a 3D game as well. This would also seem like a waste of time for the 99.99% of us players that are sighted and don't need this, like the 3D mouse support (which almost none of us have) and it would take away from time spent developing the game for a system that couldn't really work anyway. Sorry, but I don't think this is the game for you. -
Starburst. Would you rather fight 100 duck size horses or 1 horse sized duck?

Non-repetitive textures of planets

That might be a pun. Anyway, I think that the oceans look horrible, and should be fixed. -

minerman30 replied to Motokid600's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
That might be dipping into microtransactions. You don't pay money to whatever higher power there is to not fail launches IRL. We don't want Squad turning into Mini-EA. -
Reliability rating

I see. So maybe we only have the minor repairable failures. -
This might be trolling, and I'm not sure I really understand the game, but here it goes: "I left... sixty pounds... of gold... under the..." *dies*

Kasuha, do you keep that album in your copypaste and randomly dish it out to people that need it? If so, good job.

minerman30 replied to falconek's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I have two ideas that could make random failures more realistic to implement. First, the kind of mission-ruining failures that people are afraid of would be extremely rare. I'm thinking on the order of 0.1%-0.01% chance of failure for things like engines and fuel tanks. Second, there would be more minor failures that could be repaired by kerbals, such as solar panels (things like the rotation function getting jammed) and reaction wheels. This would mean that a well-designed ship should be able to complete a mission even if parts break down, and it would make manned missions more reliable. -
.24 reusing ships?
minerman30 replied to Sigma117's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I wonder if there could also be a fuel depot that you could fill with bulk purchases, maybe $1 a unit for LF and $1.5 for oxidizer. You would use it to fuel up your ships, and would be warned when you were running low. -

I don't know. Nice double post. Goodbye.

A reoccurring topic in most of my dreams is me getting launched 30 to 40 feet in the air, falling, and landing unharmed. I also sometimes question whether it's a dream or not, decide it's not, and being relieved when I wake up. I also have a strange Antichamber-type dreams where I turn around and realize what was behind me has changed.

And who would this forumgoer be?

It's pretty well known that most countries spy on each other. The US's program just encompasses a lot more people.

Granted. You can't control where you fly, and get sucked into a jet turbine. I wish I was playing KSP right now.
