  1. All we need now is for NASA to announce that Spirit has come back to life. I demand that the first manned mission to Mars fixes Beagle2 and allows it to complete its mission.
  2. I remember watching the news on landing day and the faces of the team when they realised they'd lost contact... You can practically hear the "Well this was a waste of time. I could be at home having Christmas dinner."
  3. Yeah, just seen that. When i got the breaking news alert it originally said "More information to follow" and had nothing about contact being impossible.
  4. It's a shame the arrays are what caused it to fail, I think that's more disheartening than it just crashing. To land within 5KM of the intended target is an achievement in and of itself.
  5. Astronomers pack uses huge textures (8k in some places). I have upwards of 30 mods running in my install and it has the occasional crash. I couldn't run stock + Astronomers Interstellar pack at all.
  6. New high resolution imagery has managed to locate the Beagle2 lander on the surface of Mars and all signs are pointing towards it being intact. Anyone want to guess what the chances of reestablishing contact are? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-30784886
  7. Anything that isn't shielded by a fairing will have drag applied to it by FAR, this includes landing gear. Also, long & thin is the way to build with FAR, pancake craft don't work.

  10. Best thing is, my GPU apparently only supports up to DX10 so DX11 shouldn't even be a possibility for me. - - - Updated - - - The only thing that broke were the reentry and atmo effects. It even fixed my CTDs when switching scenes and I have a crap-ton of mods installed.
  11. I can't believe how much smoother KSP is under DX11, shame about the missing shaders but can't have everything is suppose.

  13. That would actually be better since my stock toolbar is getting cluttered as it is. Second question, now that AR sees the surface of Kerbin as the endpoint rather than the core, it it simply a case of subtracting the radius of Kerbin from the range of the 3rd party antennas I have patches for in order for them to keep the same range they had in 1.6?
  14. Toadicus, is there a way to have AR display its button in the stock toolbar when I also have Blizzys Toolbar installed? I tend to have Blizzys set to auto hide and end up being unaware when I'm out of range due to the AR logo not being visible.

  18. I'm getting some weirdness going on with the LV-T30, LV-T45 and decouplers. If I try to attach a decoupler to either of those engines, the fairing shows up but the decoupler doesn't attach. I can drag the decoupler around the VAB scene and it doesn't affect the engine. If I delete the decoupler, the engine acts as though it has nothing attached and the fairing disappears and then KSP crashes to desktop. If I attach the decoupler (and have the above mentioned issue) and then delete the engine, the decoupler goes with it and then KSP crashes to desktop. This happens ONLY with the T30 & T45, other engines whether from stock revamp or a different mod work fine and it doesn't matter whether I use stock revamp decouplers or different mod ones.
  19. GP2 was killed off by Harvester round about 0.23 if I recall correctly.

  21. I think he means that KSP doesn't quit to the main menu (Start/Exit) it quits to the secondary menu (New Game/Resume Game)
  22. I'm talking about the backed-up .mbms that the batch file makes when you install this. I'm guessing I'll have to go through and rename them all.
  23. I'm probably being blind but how do I restore the stock parts other than getting Steam to reinstall them?
  24. Weird, the engines all fade out for me. I have found that the orange radially mounted engine (can't recall its name) uses the new FX module but the T45 and T30 still go silent in vacuum and the jet engines go silent above Mach 1.
