  1. I'm having no crashes what so ever with mechjeb and KSPx64. Working great here! Of course, the only other mods I run are parts mods.
  2. Nope, If Skylon works "as planned" (which I have my doubts) it will undercut ELV's severely. It would probably be cheaper than Falcon 9 Reusable as well.
  3. Already a thread on this: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/86159-XS-1-DARPA-s-concept-reusable-manned-SSTO
  4. The tanks weren't the only problem with Venturestar.
  5. It's more cost effective to man rate the vehicle from the start. See Falcon 9 VS Delta 4.
  6. Wasn't there just a thread asking this exact same thing?
  7. I think there must be some incorrect information there as that would make it difficult to use the crew module they plan. Maybe try getting your information from the official Skylon website and remember that wikipedia is only as good as it's worst source.
  8. If Skylon succeeds I hope someone revives PanAm and slaps the logo/livery on one so we can finally get that scene from 2001 in real life.
  9. Nope, yesterday's launch trajectory was a requirement for the payload's final orbit requirement and only incidentally beneficial to boost back. As for the next two Asiasat launches, they will fly without legs as the full performance of the F9 was promised to the payload provider. No boostback/landing attempts will be made on those launches.
  10. The ascent path was at the request of the payload provider.
  11. I think Sarbian may be taking a break from Mechjeb. Considering how much work he's put in and how long he's been at it, I don't blame him.
  12. This is not Dragon. This is Falcon. Delayed again. now SpaceX is saying early July!
  13. 5:24 pm Eastern time. already confirmed. And today's attempt will be streamed! http://new.livestream.com/accounts/142499/events/2980259
  14. Wouldn't the most fuel efficient method on a planet with atmosphere involve wings?
  15. Elon recently stated that SpaceX had just resolved a bottle neck issue with production.
  16. Strictly speaking, that's not "the original mockup". That design was created by Mark Rademaker for the Star Trek "Ships of the Line" Calendar from a couple years back. It, in turn, is based on one of Matt Jefferies original idea sketches for the U.S.S. Enterprise back when they were developing the original Star Trek series in 1965.
  17. [obligatory lame joke about MTV and lack of music videos]
  18. Yeah, that sounds like more of a hyperedit issue than a mechjeb issue.
  19. An article you might find interesting regarding SLS upper stage changes: http://www.nasaspaceflight.com/2014/06/nasa-confirms-eus-sls-block-ib-design-em-2-flight/
  20. Just remember that KSP is a game. Even with RSS added in. Don't think that something you build in a the game will work in the real world. And seriously, if it were so easy, don't you think it would have been done by now?
