  1. @Rakaydos: Nope @DisarmingBaton5: There will be no 'winners', this is just to see if you can build it . If you build a spectacular rocket that everyone likes, it'll be displayed on the main thread.
  2. Alrigiht folks, I have a challenge for ya! Mods Required FAR Challenge Build an SSTO rocket Rules Must be able to land vertically with engines.
  3. My favorite thing about KSP: rockets & planes & exploration & physics.
  4. Kerbal Astronaut? Kerbin Atmosphere?
  5. My friends don't play KSP lol. But anyways, I once forgot to add RCS and ended up docking with my main engine.
  6. For some reason, I can't ever enter my external command seats. I recently undocked a piece from my space-station, which had an external command seat, just to experiment because I had never used it before. But I got right up on it, even to the point where im touching it and it would never prompt me to press "F" to enter it. Why is this?
  7. How do you like to play KSP? Are you the type who just fulfills popular missions (asteroid redirect, etc), or just fulfill contests and try to build the coolest vehicles, or just try to get to farther planets and gather science? I personally like KSP to be realistic, which is why I definently cant play without TACLS, FAR, and DER. I like to sort of "roleplay" as my space agency being a real one, but more active. A space agency that is discovering more things each day and preparing our kerbianians (kerbal civilians) to be able to travel and inhabit space in the future, with ease. By progressing day by day, doing small missions to local planets and sending probes (before actual kerbals) to other planets around the solar system. And also putting stations, space motels, greenhouses to generate fuel, and much more into orbit. Wbu?
  8. Make sure you have FAR first. And, reasons for spaceplanes: -Efficiency -Reusabe -Looks cooler -Land without parachute -No dumping a bunch of stage debris all over the universe -Much more
  9. I think they should also have FAR as a mod.
  10. When I kept trying to figure out why my node burn was going to last days long, and I kept going full throttle to see if the time would change. Then I found out my engine was off.
  11. I and life support mods, and my kerbals still rarely die.
  12. This is my first tutorial. Feedback appreciated! Thanks guys
  13. I never even used the claw before, lol.
  14. Im not sure, but make sure its a little bit infront of you or ahead, because you'll come in at a higher velocity than your target. I never plan, I just launch and rendezvous
  15. I don't, even though I have TAC Life support. It doesnt bother me because I can easily do emergency resupply missions (which ive never had do anyways). I have kerbal alarm clock but I rarely use it. Only for lunch windows, mainly.
  16. It would be better if you added a picture of your stages. Maybe even your rocket too. Why wouldn't you be able to take a SS?
  17. I think you should learn how to do it without constantly switching between ships back and fourth, it isn't hard.
  18. Let's talk about mods, specifically the most popular and game-enhancing ones that everyone should have. Which mods do you think should definitely be added to the real version of the game? My opinion: Mechjob - Used to make Dv calculations and stuff. ( I don't use it, but it seems that a lot of people do ) FAR - Ferram Aerospace Research: Improves aerodynamics and stuff, making the game more realistic and fun. (Lift, drag, all that stuff. It's no longer calculated by just mass.) Deadly Re-entry - Makes re entering the atmosphere more realistic, causing you to burn up if you come in too fast. Also adds heat shields. TAC Life Support - Allows you to add food, water, and oxygen resources to your ships and require them to keep kerbals alive. It is consumed over time, and needs electricity also, to keep kerbals from getting too cold or something in space. Most popular Kerbal Engineer Redux Deadly Re-entry Ferram Aerospace Research Limited communications (ScanSat)
  19. It depends on the design of it. If it's something small like this (my space motel), I'd launch it in one piece: But I built this in space(space station): I find docking fun.
