  1. ok, i have copied the version "With_all" into my gamedata area, restarted ksp and pulled up a previously built craft. when i select the root part, nothing. what basic step or concept am i missing here? thanks for any help, and yes, i did look at previous posts but it there is a step there i missed it. thanks for any and all help.
  2. I had KAS as one of mods, and i noticed that there always seems to be a plethora of error messages in the log right after some KAS output / status / stuff.... I copied entire ksp_win and made copy ksp_noKsp and then went in and removed all kas from gamedata, from persistent file and test craft files. now the ultra long problem time has gone away.... Dont want to say problem with KAS just yet, want to check and prove that i can make the problem come and go, but something you might look at???? good luck.
  3. is it possible to target and resource transfer from multiple targets at same time if you have multiple Yellow units??? and if it is not possible to target multiple vessels, would / do multiple yellow lazors transfer faster than just one?? thanks... Bump.
  4. Good stuff...... Thanks for the info. I will see if sirkut has updated, and if not will do back search. thanks.
  5. Sounds good. Hope testing goes ok, and we can play with it soon.....
  6. how many kerbals is it from one end to the other?
  7. Sounds same here regarding maxed out hardware. I dont have the blender, and other dev programs running, and i will test the full screen option. Thanks. It 'seemed' to act like a memory leak in the sense that sometimes a restart would help. But then it also acts like some internal .dll is acting almost like a service and is getting restarted or popped repeatedly over and over. when this happens it is only lessened by a reboot.... Thanks for info Devo. Hope this get sorted out. As bad as it is for players, i can only imagine the frustration for trying to develop in this mode....
  8. mixing of units? what is the worst that could happen, asked the people from "Mars Polar Lander/Deep Space 2", and "Mars Climate Orbiter"???
  9. 3.280839895, those last little bits will put you into the dirt. And why not have choice for units.???? keeps all banter regarding use of furlongs per fortnight to a minimum....
  10. is it possible, with the current release, to have say a 'bootstrap' program running almost like in the background, that at certain points in time, or when very specific criteria are matched or specific conditions arise that it can spawn of a stored program and when that one is complete, re-enter the base / bootstrap program???
  11. ZodiusInfuser : that is great. check out the docking port alignment viewer by NavyFish. that 'should' allow for faster / easier alignment when using docking collars like that. Can you 'share' your .cfg edit that is allowing the gantry to work like that..????... Also, if possible, the .craft file would be a real time saver if you dont mind. again, very nice and give the that alignment viewer a go....
  12. do you find that the scene change problem goes 'quicker' when you minimize ksp to the toolbar and give it a min or so. it 'seems' to me that sometimes doing this has made it go a lot faster. I have noticed that at certain times if i 'wait' for ksp to get me back to the hanger, it may take 5-10 min's when real bad. I can minimize ksp and usually it will be ready to go in 1-2.????? dont know much about this Unity voodoo.....
  13. No spiking for me, but i am using 3.3.4....... The new one uses the large format image files and while it is nice and cute to be able to zoom in on the little screen, it is hardly worth the overhead. The "unofficial" version on SpacePort works great. just make sure to load it the old way, under plugins, parts and not GameData..... I also wrote a small piece of code to take all of the .csv files and build a master .csv that i then feed to the MapGen.exe routine... And then the defaulted maps for use in the ISAMapSat .dll for viewing in game, and the full images (3600 pix wide) to load into whatever mapping routine i want to use, and the .csv to have as a dBase for the surface lookup routines. I really hope that the owner comes back and works with it again, as i enjoy this form of mapping.... If he does not, i will look into taking it,or starting over scratch. Make a new version, but based on the idea of the more resolution that you want, will require more effort to get it.... Good luck, have fun
  14. Devo / Sirkut, any new landing gear or wheels coming out soon??? just checking after the forum hiatus. cheers.
  15. Take the data that you have gathered from your ISAMAP Sat survey. The whole idea of the pre-survey mapping is to have the body or at a minimum your landing site properly mapped. Then as you are making your approach, you can use the raw map data as a lookup. Well, that's what i am doing.... I use the data from the mapsat surveys to check and plan for landing site survey, slope verification, and terrain avoidance (on Minmus it is required when coming in low and hot..) Found too many mountains that were just a little bit higher than i thought.... Cheers.
  16. Great mod. Have been waiting for this for awhile. Thanks. This makes for very nice landing direction markers / directional support when landing on dark side of body.... great stuff...
  17. I am having problems in being able to 'select' which part to attach to which in sandwich mode. need some way to be able to step through the available layers to get to the right one... are there any tutorials out on this... man, that would help, or at least really make me feel like a fool.....
  18. ok, how about 'limits'?? if a 'open' hinge is say 1 and a closed hinge is '-1'. can we specify in the .cfg that it can only goto 0? or something like that??? is there an API, or 'dummies guide to robotic origami'????? thanks for your help.
  19. Rough group to play too.... Zero patience...... Take a breath, relax......
  20. What is the trick to building it 'normal' and then 'folding' it???
  21. Look back in the post a ways... same happened to me and they told me how to fix it, but that was awhile ago and those brain cells have been FIFO'd......
  22. Really looks good.... Have needed something easy and good looking for rover deployment and other 'stuff'......
  23. looks good.... how about a bigger one for rovers and such....
