  1. I think the 6000 D/v is for getting the periapsis to 0, no aerobrakes, and keeping the craft slow enough not to burn up in the thick atmosphere. You would have to ask Kowgan for clarification.
  2. Do you mean you tried to lift off from Eve with 6000 D/v? The 6000 is for going from a Low Eve Orbit to the surface, which would require less since the atmosphere would slow you down. I believe that trying to leave Eve's Surface is similar except you are fighting gravity and the atmosphere to leave Eve's thick atmosphere.
  3. Is there a setting I am missing that would make it so it does not automatically switch to plane mode? I really only use this when I have my joystick out, but most the time I use a KB&M.
  4. Would it be possible to add an option in the config that would allow you to hide the info with the rest of the UI when you press F2?
  5. Is there any way to change the default configuration of the Vessel Viewer? I have to re do it every time I launch. Is there any way to have and make presets for it so we can easily switch between them?
  6. When a mod is uninstalled, you should be able to keep the crafts in your Persistent.sfs file. they will try to load each time you start that save. If you dont want the ship any more, you just go to the tracking station and the craft will have a red button instead of the dark blue. You can abort the flight if you dont want it or you can chose to remove the conflicting part. This will save people a lot trouble when a new update happens.
  7. I tried to submit this challenge a while back, but I submitted it in such a way that it was hard to understand. I have learned from my mistakes, so I am resubmitting it. I challenge someone to build a ship in orbit similar in method to the way Star Trek Space Docks operated. No less than 75 parts in the orbital ship (the more the better) No less than 5 part groups You must provide pictures of each individual rocket launching Another picture of the rocket in the VAB A picture of each connection being made A picture of the finished ship in flight. (Optional) A picture of the Ship orbiting each planet/moon you went to. (Crashing into it also works, I just need proof that you were there) Other info: The Main thing that matters is building the ship by flying parts from Kerbal to orbit and attaching them there. You can build whatever design ship you want, it can be completely original. I recommend using docking clamps for the connections. I will be assigning 0/1/2/3 points as I see fit for the Star Trek ones. The planetary points are a method to test its space worthiness. You can have as many launches as desired, but they must be orbit built every time. By Star Trek style I mean a Saucer/Bridge Area Section with separate Nacelles, see the picture for an example. Defiant like ships can sometimes work too. You can also build craft that resemble the runabout or other shuttles. The challenge is to make it space-worthy. Bonus Points if you make it to another planet. Mods you can use: Stock Parts MechJeb Kerbal Engineer Engine & Fuel tank packs (within reason) KSPX Pirated Weaponry ISA MapSat. I am open to mod suggestions. Point Breakdown: Kerbol 4 points Moho 3 points Eve 2 points Mun/Minimus 1 points Duna 2 points Dres 3 points Jool 4 points Eeloo 5 points Star Trek Style X/3 points Aesthetics X/10 Number of parts X/10 Complexity X/10 Functionality X/10 These are some ideas for Star Trek STYLE ships My Favorite Star Trek ship/series.
  8. Reading all these sad stories about kerbals is making me sad.
  9. Take a structural tank with a bunch of micro solid boosters and use it as a missile to attack the debris and stations.
  10. Bill is trapped in Capella 4, originally meant for the moon but I overshot it, it is now orbiting the sun.
  11. It asks for the KSP folder, I couldn't find where it exported to to begin with. Also, I made some modifications to the stock gray clean texture, I changed the stripe color. When I used the part in KSP, it looks very dark at the bottom, about #757575, and the top looks light, about #D9D9D9.
  12. Here is the ship file. I don't thing I can make it any better, but it does drift a bit to the left. I originally hoped to get into orbit with it, but there is not enough intake air. http://www./?4381y54r68r7zd0 It requires: MechJeb Kerbal Engineer Ion Hybrid Pack KSPX B9 Aerospace pack
  13. For the life of me I can not figure out how to make this type of design work without tearing itself apart when I turn off ASAS, Avionics does not work with it either. it has 2 wing Basic engines facing down and 1 Turbojet engine in line with the fuselage.
  14. 3 questions, can we see a scale or live preview of you part, where does the part export to, and can we decide where it exports to?
  15. Is there a mod the works similar to the way that the AdvDupe gun works in Garry's Mod? There are many times that I want to pull ships/parts from multiple save files so I can use them on another ship, but I have to re make them all indovidually. What the AdvDupe Gun does is save a design for use at a later date. This would be useful if it would be able to pull from the SPH and the VAB folders.
  16. I re wrote the OP to make it clear on what I want.

  18. The dock doesn't matter. You can build whatever design ship you want, it can be completely original. The only thing that matters is building the ship by flying parts from kerbal to orbit and attaching them there. I will be assigning 0/1/2 points as I see fit for the Star Trek ones. The formula for Star Trek ship is a Saucer like section with at least 2 nacelles. You can also build craft that resemble the runabout or other shuttles. The planetary points are a method to test its space worthiness. You can have as many launches as desired, but they must be orbit built every time.
  19. I mean building ships by bringing pieces up from the surface putting them together in orbit. By style I mean a Saucer Section with separate Nacelles, see the picture for an example. The challenge is to make it space-worthy. Bonus Points if you make it to another planet.
