    Are you sure you press W for pitch up? I use a joystick now but I think W might be pitch down! Another thing: I read that in a real plane, in a perfect landing, you hear a stall warning just before touching the ground. I think this corresponds with your guide.

    Hmm... Try doing tests for manned missions, such as fly-by's followed by actual landings. Or send a lander with an empty capsule and a probe for control.

    Another problem with Career Mode is landing gear: I just did a long mission to unlock the plane parts. Now I need another 90 science just for landing gear :/

    A few years ago, I bought Minecraft. I've probably spent 300 hours playing that game. I've stopped now, but KSP has taken its rightful place as most played game at the moment. Welcome!

    Maybe the sandbox's R&D facility should remain open, just so you can broadcast things/read the funny messages/crew reports if you want to.

    This is the next thing I'll do. Probably w/ HyperEdit, which I use only in sandbox. I'll see how far I can get in career, then I'll do it there.

    I doubt KSP is more violent than a cartoon. Most people who watch cartoons can't even read either.
