  1. Hello there!

  2. I've never had this problem on the KSP forums. I and based on the current rate at which I get mail, probably never will..
  3. I mostly play the latest version, however I occasionally will go back to an old version. Allowing multiple choices for the poll would have been nice.
  4. Which mods do you use? I would think nearly all of them have updated by now. Ha, RCS really helps, though now you are probably not too worried if you ever run out of the stuff! One time, while bringing a crew transport to a station, I somehow managed to get a rendezvous so good that I didn't use any fuel docking. Haven't managed to do it since. :/ I don't even want think think about how many thousands of hours I've spent.. You mean this video? You managed to get to orbit AND blow everything up? I only managed one of those things my first time playing. I'll let you decide which one...
  5. Dang it I lost the game. > But yeah, if you bought the game from an official source, you should be able re-download it. Though you will likely lose your save and gamedata (unless you backed those up separately).
  6. I remember asking Maxmaps during a Squadcast a long while back (~.22), and believe he said that at some point they might consider hosting the old KSP versions downloads, thought it is certainly (and rightfully) not a priority, considering it would really only benefit a small number of players. However, I am one of those players, so I hope at some point they put them up. As for the reason why you can't share versions with people, even if they also have paid for it, really comes down to copyright law (don't take my word for it). Essentially, from what I can tell, if squad is lax about people sharing paid versions, then someone does a very large pirating scheme, which squad (or any sensible company) would want to stop, they will have a much more difficult time in court, because the pirate-er can claim that squad has not enforced their trademark/copyright (or something like that). This could at the very least negatively affect how much is awarded in damages.
  7. Actually, it does work. I used it to record KSP videos. It can be a wee bit finicky, but I haven't had any major issues with it. You just have to change one line in the files to make KSP use fullscreen instead of borderless window mode. The GPU optimizations are great, and allow me to record more CPU intensive situations. (such as the beasty in my sig). The biggest issue was that under heavy load it would occasionally stutter, but this can be removed with post-editing fairly easily, allowing smooth video.
  8. Wow, from a car forum? Must have been after wheels were added (I see now you said 23.5) I am really surprised by the large variety of places people first heard about KSP.
  9. I've heard a rumor that the forum staff lounge has a 50 inch HDTV, and a really comfy couch. Can you confirm/deny? Also, how many threads have been made in the staff area? Finally, how many big secrets do you know off the top of your head that we can't know about? 3? 1? 4? 1? 5? 9?..
  10. True. I have a sweet pair of shades I wear for those bright sunny days, or those huge rocket explosions. The user below me has 9 fingers. [Edit: Ninja'd.]
  11. Hello! I come from the future. I am here to say that Macey has come back once more. Now everyone shush and let this thread continue to slowly float down like a leaf in the wind, into the deep dark abyss where old threads go to sleep.
  12. I believe this topic has already been covered several times, though I'm sure Macey appreciates the free advertising. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/119682-He-s-back? http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/119787-Macey-Dean-returned!? http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/121190-Video-Wednesday-Aftermath-The-Return-of-Macey-Dean!?
  13. I love signatures, especially ones with jokes and quotes. The links are great too, I've found more than a couple mods through sigs, as well as a variety of cool stuff, crafts, websites, Youtube channels, etc. They are also very useful for identifying people, and are a great way for people to distinguish themselves. Of course they can be used for signing posts, though I haven't seen anyone do that in a loong time. What I don't like are signatures that are ~500 pixels tall.. or have sound. While I'm here, anyone know how to make an image in your sig a link?
  14. Interesting. I wonder then if solar panels work with indirect lighting, such as immediately after sunset/ before sunrise.
  15. I would have imagined some sort of exponential curve in which more and more people became active in later versions, maybe with a slight decrease in beta, as I know some people were waiting for 1.0 at that point. I suspect that people misinterpreted the poll. However, I realized that I waited well over a year before I joined the forum after playing KSP. Perhaps most people don't join the forums until several months after they play the game, in which case the poll result should even out over time. Also, it's possible that more people who got the game in .90 and 1.0 are adverse to participating in forum polls. 130 people is not a very large sample size for a game that has sold as many copies as KSP has. It's rather difficult to tell at this point. I think we need more polls. Or at least more people to take the poll.. (Can we get a link the social media feeds or something ?)
  16. I've only experienced choppy-sound (as heard in the video) when close to or above the sound barrier (and the faster I go, the more pronounced it becomes), which leads me to believe it has something to do with that. Anyways, they were going to do a sound overhaul for 1.0, but it was put aside for time reasons, and now they will be going through it for 1.1. I assume that they will be fixing this while they are at it.
  17. I would really like doing missions like this. I want something like this added to stock. Since that may be setting my hopes too high, I'll settle for a mod.. but I don't want to make it. (pshh, as if I could.. )
  18. I think your link to Andrew Hanson is redirecting people to Avera9eJoe. Can't wait to see how this turns out, all such great entries!
  19. While similar, those polls are different in that they are asking when people bought the game, whereas I am asking about people's activity once they discovered KSP.
  20. As far as I know, there has never been an official stance on the matter. I think things like this are kept intentionally vague to let the players create their own lore for their program. I personally think that the air on Laythe is not directly, but can be passed though a breathing apparatus which makes it acceptable for kerbal use. Another question is even if a kerbal had a breathing apparatus, could the rest of them (skin, eyes, etc) be exposed to laythe air?
