  1. I had (serval) provbes with a ion drive 8 1x6 and the whole empty surface covered with solar modules and a huge pack of xenon gas.... and a lot of time... these were 4-5 hour burns
  2. Hi fellow Kerbals, I just wondering, about satelites in orbit in careermode at the moment... they seem to be useless. I can't generate any science from them. Is there any purpose for them?
  3. Ok Thanks.. got a fast CPU (i7-3770), plenty of ram, but only a 560 Ti with 1GB memory
  4. Hi Guys, what does the different colors of the timer means? I saw the color sometimes is yellow, mostly at my 700 parts "Apollostyle" Launchvehicles. Thanks WeirdCulture
  5. Nope. Satelites were first... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Explorer_1
  6. Nearly all of the planes-tab.... I'm here to build rocktes and going to space (and find out if Minimus is realy made of Roquefort).. planes are for the Wright brothers
  7. Hoping that Procedural Fairings & Engeneer will still work...
  8. EVA is the only way atm.. When you EVA make sure no clipping parts are near the exit of the craft, it can catapult your kerbal far far away
  9. meh... its definetly not 0.21 .... just wantet to say something ! third-dot-five
  10. On a Apollo style mission, after the turnning of the comandmodule, i try to get one of the Kerbals out, for an EVA to the lander.. but the fairing of the docking port, shoot him out, some clipping issues i think, like a railgun far far away... so one of the Kerbal becomes the first SuitSat in my KSP http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SuitSat
  11. I had to launch to Cleaning missions for the two ascentstages of the landermodules which were orbiting my Mün
  12. Normaly ducttape but I just put 2 of Cubic Octagonal Strut and a TR-2V Stack Decoupler.. So i just straped it on one side on my Apollo-style lander.. it gave you at landing a little adrenaline shot when you don't balance the extra weight on one side. But the great tip is: Test your arrangement on Kerbin, because it's a PITA to find out on the moon that the rover falls on his back and you can't turn it around...
  13. meh! I hope we get more realistic drag, so that rockets have to be aerodynamic than just ridiculus. But good luck!
  14. I hope then MechJeb and all other Autopilot mods would switch to a IQ-based-subscription... this would prevent them from getting into space
  15. X-Rebirth, KSP 0.22 and Elite. Normaly i would say Star Citizen.. but I'm not sure about the payment method. I am afraid that Star Citizen will be a huge P2W game
  16. well even when I'm living in a country with the metric system, as a flight enthusiast I can handle feet. But I agree, that the imperial system is nonsense, or how many cups of butter fits into a 2 qubicfoot
  17. I don't know if this was posted before.... i find this a very interresting "Point of View" about a space shuttle start. Enjoy!
  18. Hi Kerbals, I tried to create a SOHO like Kerbol observation satellite. Started it, figured it out where to launch towards the star and let it fly to a 2.5 Mio. PE around the sun... after nearly reached the periapsis I wanted to burn to decline the Apoapsis to a Kerbol orbit, but found out that the deltaV for the last third of the orbit is getting enormous high... Did I do something wrong or is it normal to burn about 5000 m/s for reaching the orbit? How much do i need to get to a Syncronous orbit (AP/PE 1,5 Mio) And what is the last safe distancefor a orbit without letting my satelite get a sunburn? Cheers WeirdCulture
  19. ever had the whole RCS system on the wrong vehicle?
