  1. It's way more pronounced than a rigidity issue. It's definitely a control issue. Ah, this last bit may be my problem. Mechjeb turns the SAS on when in use though. Is there a switch somewhere I don't know about. Oh, and thanks to both of you.
  2. Forgive me if this has been dealt with but I couldn't find it. My mechjeb's gone mental. http://imgur.com/a/fwuMe This is after the gravity turn. There's mad oscillation which I hope you can see on the pics. I think it's something to with it wanting to spin, which it does when performing maneuvers. A similar thing happens with maneuvers in that using stability control helps but it's all still a bit erratic The only mod I use is mechjeb but I have doctored the cfg file to allow me to use it throughout career mode (I can't fly, sue me ) I'm entirely willing to accept that the problem lies between chair and keyboard.
  3. How do you do it? I suspect I'm being really thick here but can someone help an idiot out?
  4. Well, biggish 1, 2 & 3 control the jets. 1 for the turbojets. Hit 0 halfway down the runway to raise the rear wheels so you can angle up. Cruises at about 25K on just the turbos. Not sure what it's actually for though. The fuel drains asymetrically, sadly, and I can't fix it but the whole damn thing is so big it doesn't actually seem to matter too much.
  5. A big plane Definitely not happy with the vertical stabiliser.
  6. Duly repped. His is much nicer than mine
  7. I only found out about it from playing Buzz Aldrin's Space Manager Whatsit (that name is far too long) And it was Tankbuster32 who actually told me what the mission was called. I'd forgotten. Working on a Duna one with the same profile. It's the first thing that's dragged me away from SSTO's for ages.
  8. Clone is probably a bit strong. It has the same mission profile. Direct ascent, direct return, no messing about with any of that docking stuff
  9. I have been inspired by a combination of Orion and Buzz Aldrin's Space Manager to deviate from my usual air-hogging monstrosities. Buzz tells me there's a Russian program which intended to land the whole, two man, return vehicle on the surface which looked interesting so I've been inspired by that to start this.
  10. Whodathunk it would actually land, but why do random bit fall off on the way down?
  11. For getting to Duna and back. It does have a habit of colliding with the launch pad while about 20K up in the air...
  12. Two Kerbal VTOL SSTO for trips to the Mun. Unusual engine arrangement on this one is in no way due to it lacking in power along both axis... https://www.dropbox.com/s/mpb0n5lr0lzzx59/Munar%20Shuttle%202%20NMJ.craft?dl=0 1 - downward jets 2 - turbojets 3 - nukes 0 - auxiliary jet (you'll need this up to about 22K (ish))
  13. 2 Kerbal SSTO Munar shuttle. One day soon I'll finish all these works in progress...
  14. A couple of things I'm working on. One of them suffered massive kraken related disintegration after a trip round Duna but landed anyway
