  1. I followed the istructions to the point- Installed Boris KSPI 0.90, intalled TweakScale and then KSPI Extended. I only skipped step 3 (Regolith and RoverDudes warp drive). I can't find any logs - It didn't create the log files as when the game crashes, because it did techically didn't crashed -it just froze. Is there any log to be seen for these cases? Edit: The new version 1.0.2 works just fine! Thanks.
  2. Wow, that was quick! Thank you FreeThinker for keeing this great mod alive. Unfortunately, the game loading freezes at several parts. I tried a crude test by just deleting the problematic part and see if it loads. The list of the parts at which the loading got stuck is as follows: "Tweakable AntiMatter Reactor" "FNFissionFusionCatReactor" "LargeFussionReactor" ..all of the other reactors.. "AluminiumHybrid engine" "TweakableMagneticNozzle" "FNMethaneEngine" "InterstellarPlasmeThruster" ..and then I stopped trying. I'm using otherwise stock KSP 1.0.2
  3. I've tested the impact of PhysX settings in nVidia control panel and I can confirm, that it didn't do a thing. First, I've let all the calulations be handled by CPU (quad core Phenom II X4 3,2GHz) and launched a 600 parts ship, which gave me 10-12 FPS. Then I changed the settings from CPU to GPU (N560GTX-Ti) and the performance was EXACTLY the same. Tested on Win7 64bit, 8GB RAM. How can Whackjob run smoothly 1000+ parts ships on his machine is beyond me.
  4. Your Constellation mission was a huge source of inspiration to me. It motivated me to take my KSP skills to a whole new level - I'd never thought I can fly such big, sophisticaded (complicated) ships/assemblies. So thank you katateochi!
  5. I have seen the thread. That's actually one of the reasons I've asked. I wish to perform the test, but without means to objectively messure the outcome, all I'm left with is a subjective feeling (e.q. "This runs kinda smoothly", "This is somehow laggy", "A slow slideshow" etc)
  6. If that hepls...The specs are AMD Phenom II X4, 8GB RAM, GTX560Ti, Win7 64bit and Kubuntu 12.04 64Bit (dualboot). Although my question was aimed generarly, how to messure FPS and whether newer drivers really do make a difference, regardless of HW.
  7. Greetings fellow Kerbonauts I have noticed that KSP performance under Linux is somehow lower than under Windows (Win7). Obviously, the primal suspect is graphic card drivers (I have nVidia), but before I jump to conclusions, I'd like to see some numbers in form of FPS to support this claim. It is easy to use applications like Fraps under Windows, but I haven't found any way to show FPS under Linux, should that be using debug menu (I'm pretty sure that is not possible), using 3rd party tool or even making Unity to show FPS somehow. Does anybody know how to show FPS in Linux? Also, I have mentioned drivers. I'm currently using version 304.88 from March 2013, I know there is a newer version made by nVidia, but not sure if it's worth it.I have some bad memories regarding updating drivers. Does anyone have experience with KSP in Linux and if updating drivers have any impact on performance?
