very useful summary. I think Mars-One will work then, as long as hollywood stars are banned from going...
-
If I wanted to go, I would be automatically accepted because my race never sleeps or eats and can stay in the same seat for years without complaining.
-
You're just jealous because you're not handsome enough to be chosen for Mars-One!
-
The LEGO set for KSP has the bonus advantage of reduced eye strain compared to the PC version.
-
And reply with quote works again (for me it didn't for a long time).

Locked in syndrome! Any help?

Pretend Bob never existed in the first place. Move on to the next missions. -
Wait... do the mars-one volunteers expect to work on Mars until 55 years old and then take a retirement with mars-nurses taking care of them and playing mars-bingo on Tuesdays?
-
617. Pls remove the map view, for realism. Instead using NAV and VOR and OMEGA radio beacons for navigation. thx

I don't think any scientific discussion of vanilla KSP (at this point, alpha 0.21.1) is irrelevant because the drag of a craft is just wrong. FAR introduces drag calculation based on each parts and the craft Angle of Attack as well as stall effects. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/20451-0-21-Ferram-Aerospace-Research-v0-9-6-2-Aerodynamics-Fixes-For-Planes-Rockets The game becomes more accurate but: a discussion about aerobraking is even more difficult. When I use FAR and aerobrake, the AoA can be adjusted to increase drag, or a stall introduced to cause extreme drag. However, the added realism means that some situations you loose control or even brake apart because of uneven forces on the craft. Aerobraking has its limits. NB: Eve is a bitch.

Kerbart: 0 degree inclination: do you mean 90° ? Anyway.. I follow the minimum space debris guideline, like any boring KSP nerd. I really envy you now; lots of random debris from a mission you performed weeks ago smashing you in the face... added excitement! But, my parents taught me to respect nature and dispose of my trash and I can't help but feel bad leaving space debris...

How do you know they're not eating food? They have teeth after all. They're only eating when you're not looking. You have to pretend you're looking away then surprise Jeb with a mouthful of fried spaceworm.

No!! She, obviously, is fake.

610: Match the slow loading time in the loading screen with matching SID or 4-bit music.

I knew that Mars One is a european NGO. They seem to have a roadmap, at least. And if properly regulated, if they find problems they will re-schedule or adjust or cancel the mission. Trusting private corporations seems absurd but we have no choice. Look at current world governments..

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
loknar replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Good plan. I just fixed my installation and just started an Eve mission with not much planning or research. I re-use my mars mission transport to send a spaceplane and station to Eve. Eve is a huge challenge. My spaceplane can each orbit with no air from Kerban. I guesstimate it can do a 30km flyby on Eve. But first I have to aerobrake my fast-approaching mission cluster-ship. Very unlikely to succeed. I already tried at 65km but not enough braking and too much flames.- 14,073 replies

I see a lot of hate for Mars-One. With some oversight, the risk of scam can be avoided. It is still a long time before the due-date so of course the project is mostly on paper for now. But what Mars-One represents is a manned missions to Mars that is only 500 times closer than anything from NASA. I'm all for it. Humanity needs the science and space experience at any cost. Sending more than 40 people, yet alone thousands is useless at this point though.

607: Make ship parts randomly explode after loading a quicksave. Oh nevermind, that is already done! Thanks!

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
loknar replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
my recent FAR installation problems reminder: I used 0.9.5.5 for a while and upgraded to latest. the loading screen gets stuck at Squad/PodCockpitmodel so I continue my tests Test 1 KSP vanilla 21.1: ok + FAR 0.9.5.5 : ok + FAR 0.9.6.2: ok + other mod (chatterer) + saves + adjusting graphic settings: all tests ok back to ksp, stalling and reverse russian radio chatter! (after a week of agony) not sure what was wrong with my pc.. but now with many different tests something worked. very doubtful something was wrong with ksp. but when things started getting wrong, it was impossible to make it work even by removing FAR cheers. I now have 5 minutes of free time left to play the game and my mom calls me....- 14,073 replies

Please use FAR to make this easier and more realistic no matter the number of parts in your plane. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/20451-0-21-Ferram-Aerospace-Research-v0-9-6-2-Aerodynamics-Fixes-For-Planes-Rockets Nice ideas here - but apart from the fun of gliding, I don't think there is any advantage of using wings if you can't benefit from the air-breathing jet engines to get you to the higher atmosphere/speed. To be very boring: a nice low drag rocket is the most efficient. It can be very high because your parachute landing will probably kept straight easy.

Yes the oceans are Vodka. The Kerbals are very confortable in this environment because their DNA is close to olives. Their suits only need a twist of lemon.
-
I like how your landing gear is on. As if you're about to land on it and you want it to go smoothly.
-
You have your turn your kerbals into comets.
-
lol I imagine reverse Chinese still sounds a lot like chinese!

Yes it is salty. But it is also sweet and spicy, so it compensates.
