  1. My pipeline is: Open Broadcast Software (free) > Lightworks (free) > VLC to transcode to mp4. Can't say I am great at it - and I still have sound issues to figure out, but I works and OBS is a lot better than Fraps. And I can't wait to see what your ride does! I am liking this design trend!
  2. Thanks all! Let Squad know if you have an in - would love for them to see it too =) Couldn't do it without the awesome robotics and KAS work modders have made!
  3. I made an amusement park! Upvotes on Reddit would be highly appreciated http://www.reddit.com/r/KerbalSpaceProgram/comments/1lh4q9/jebland_semilethal_fun_for_the_whole_family/
  4. Thanks for the comments on my video! It was a lot of fun to make and I was also pretty amazed that the vehicle actually moved faster through the water with the 'paddles' deployed. I'll be making some more videos of my experiments shortly.
  5. Thought you all might like to see my latest robotics experiment featuring Magic Smoke Industries parts!
  6. Great bot! Mine can go speed "6" on the dial, which is a little faster than the one you're showing off, but not much. Any more and legs start to get warped and twisted and then it throws itself into the air, usually landing on its back - however - I can usually just dial the legs into the right place, raise them, and carry on upside down at a slower speed!
  7. Thin square girders would be handy too - of various sizes. One day!
  8. Inspired by the previous hexapod I tried to make my own! Works ok.
  9. Oh, my Duna airship album is back online since I upgraded on imgur, hehe.
  10. Superb bug! Maybe four smaller retro-thrusters might be better balanced. The two you have seem pretty powerful for the weight of the craft. That is damn cool though!
  11. Parts? Nothing to do with this mod. If you want gold probe cores, check AIES mod.
  12. My coaster/suspended cart thing has real issues with any piece of raised track - instant clipping issues. I can't work out how to get the thing to turn a corner cleanly.
  13. At the bottom of my experiments album is a shot of a suspended cart for a roller coaster. It works really well, however, ANY seam in the track tends to cause the thing to clip. For interest and possible design assistance.
  14. I have prototyped a half-dozen rides. This link should take you to the albumn: http://imgur.com/a/FtmAK - I need to work on the swing ride and the coaster.
  15. I smashed together a simple but big SSTO spaceplane and came up with a 500k figure for total cost. It could probably be done cheaper. If you recover all but 15% of that on a successful landing then you are only losing 75k per mission on parts. That seems ok and a goal to aim for once you have a solid bankroll. I really don't think it should be any kind of priority for the devs to look at compatibility with fantasy parts such as B9 engines and to try, just now, to balance for spaceplanes. I have enjoyed using MC to make me construct the cheapest and most efficient rockets possible with high reuse factor. This is an interesting change of pace from vanilla KSP.
  16. Made one of those chair Merry Go Rounds... (Tried to put in spoiler tags due to many images, failed) Early prototypes weren't terribly... safe. But with time, and the brave sacrifice of several Kerbals, we have improved things! It even comes with fireworks mounted on the roof! There's a bit of 'slop' as the rotating piece finds keeping up with the.. .torque (?) hard. Getting the ride loaded took a while, though. Jebediah wouldn't stop messing around!
  17. I just wish to god the magnet had a node on the magnetic side so I could build stuff in-situ in the VAB, all nice and docked up
  18. Ahhh! That is what I have been doing wrong then. I had assumed that unlocking allowed the part to free spin, not that it was a control lock-out!
  19. Yup. But I have messed with both so that in the rocket powered Ferris wheel I would be able to lock the wheel allowing the rotating parts to move the arms around slowly for kerbal loading - then unlock for rocket spinning doom! Anyway, will try some controlled tests.
  20. Thanks, but that is kind of annoying as one can no longer build a fully attached system in the VAB. I once built an airship rover for Duna with an underslung rover, electromagnetically attached. I could build it ready to go and then deploy and collect the rover on Duna. I miss this capability!
  21. Roger. I will run some tests later. I almost wonder if when, for example, there's a lot of torque from a spinning Ferris wheel, that the locking doesn't work. Hmmm.
