  1. It appears that SRBGAMING did not include the .obj files. Currently RSS will produce a .obj for a planet that once built will reduce loading times. However they take a long time to make. Since he didn't include any it will make them for you under the title "wrapping mesh" Just leave it for a while and as long as you do not run out of RAM it will be ready for you.
  2. That looks great! I will check it out, srbgaming! BTW, you might be able to get better textures from SE for those planets of which you used the textures from my pack, which was from metaphor's pack. Nathen: Do you mind removing my old pack from the original post? I have stopped supporting it, and SRBGaming's is going to be better.
  3. That's great! I have been trying to fix it since december to no avail. I have no idea if my licence allows it, even with my permission, but I would not mind if you redistribute your new planets(and the fixes) if you so desire.
  4. In all honesty, I cannot get Kopernikus to produce any planets even with the updated DLL. It also appears that the creator of Kopernikus core, augustus, is also having that problem. If that problem is fixed, I will probably convert it over so that it works with Kopernikus. BTW... I think PF has been updated to work with .90
  5. Yep... Kopernikus as it was in that download is broken in .90 I am going to test and see if this quick fix I came up with works...
  6. If you don't mind me asking, what are you adjusting the orbital periods of the planets for? Does it has to do with an approximation to the n-body problem?
  7. This looks great! How much of a RAM issues does this cause? If under openGL or DX11 and ATM There is enough for some part mods I will definitely be doing a play through once I get on christmas break
  8. I am excited for the update(Though admittedly I can't comment on my experience in game yet because it's not downloaded yet). I am just curious about this. From what I've seen so far this update looks great
  9. If you don't mind me asking... What is the point of leveling engineers and pilots past three or scientists past 4? It seems to be the highest level that you get something from it.
  10. I apologize for that. That was a work around.i did back in an extremely early version. It was late when I said that. I have fixed my original post.
  11. It's saying that it cannot find the textures for the additional planets. Can you check what they look like please? BTW... I am going to try and convert my textures to DDS tonight. What is the easiest way to do that?
  12. I found that this fights having a numbered mm, to the point of not working, and that the work around I came up with, in September... I think, was removing the numbers. Based on his response,it still works even though admittedly there may be a better solution. Edit: checking my Bonus planet files... I think I ended up using something else. I can experiment again when I have time.

  14. I apologize, I have not not updated it in some time. I was waiting for a patch from Kopernikus. If it is no longer compatable I will release a new version soon. Edit: I have added my addition to the config to the new RSS config. Do I need to change my part into DDS or anything for it to work or I can I release the test config now for an immediate patch?
  15. That is because "normal" ksp rockets have pitiful performance compared to real rockets. What you need is Realism Overhaul: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/99966 This will make all rockets more realistic.
  16. What bonus planets are you talking about? If you mean my config, no i it won't even let you have the normal planets 1/10 they will be full size. I was planning on a 1/10th config but RL got in the way.
  17. You would then have to deal with the issue that quite a few of the locations will be underwater and such, though it would would probably be possible with a MM patch.
  18. Do you mean I need to convert it into RGB for in-game use or do I just need a special way of viewing for PS/gimp? Edit: I don't know whether to laugh or cry... I found out what my problem was. My landclass coverage frequency for tundra and ice caps was out by a factor of like 5.... I'd guess 98% of the land is pure ice...Now I feel like a complete moron....
  19. I am aware that PQS is the main way of doing things procedurally, which is why I am trying to make my current short term project AlternisSolar, completely procedurally generated. I am under the hope, and impression, that if I can produce procedural planets by hand like clockwork, automating the process will be trivial ( I Hope) for my large project. In regards to creating a texture generator for gas giants... I almost certainly won't be able to do it TBH, I expect that 90% of the project is going to be the learning curve Also, am I missing something with texture exporting... Mine takes a lot less time to do even an 8k texture. Admittedly I can't get them to work(land of water planets is white) so I am probably missing something..
  20. My basic idea is that as a long term project, is to create a galactic center with stars orbiting it. These stars will have procedural solar systems in a similar manner to asteroids. Now obviously if gas giants can't have procedural textures, I'd have to either store a texture for each of the thousands of possibilities of gas giants, or I could reuse textures. I was asking if this is the best solution.
  21. So there is no such thing as procedural gas giants in KSP? That's unfortunate... If I, perchance, needed to make procedural gas giants would simply reusing 3 or 4 textures be most ideal?

It has been reported to me as buggy, (original planets appearing the same as the edited clones) by one person, and I see it on my laptop as well( I released it after bug testing on my desktop)... I thought I put a warning in after release but it appears I have forgotten. Please wait to put it as a recommended mod until the next kopernikus update, and my following update.
