  2. Well... they are not doing everything I don't think. I don't think they are doing things like the comets, hazardous ocean modules. Though, since you have done it before, and if you want this plugin removed since it has less features, perhaps you could work with them or donate the respective code...Either way, I am looking forward to where these planet mods are going
  3. Would it be possible to generate the corona from the CFG? EX putting RGBA(1,0,0,1) in the cfg if I want a red corona. Is this possible or is it implemented in a different way?
  4. Congratulations! This looks almost ready for an initial beta I remember you mentioning lacking textures/not a visual artist... You can just use space engine to get them if you want. http://en.spaceengine.org/ I also recommend gimp if you desire to edit the textures.
  5. Green stars are awesome! I always wanted a green star to exist, though they don't because of the black body effect...Either way, really excited to see even more star colors.

While I somewhat agree with augustus, having two separate parties develop two mods that are very similar(and since oven is working on planets as well) does seem... redundant... merging them may not be trivial. side note: I can't really program... only one ap course, so I am not the best "expert opinion".
  7. Do you have any plans on dealing with the kraken? I remember when PF was made - and same for RSS - they both have methods to stop the "deep space kraken." Did .23.5 fix the deep space kraken or is this still a problem?
  8. OK, so it was not my fault, completely. I might have used slightly higher resolution then 8192x4096...I was using approximately 32768x16384. My computer (that's brand new) could hardly manage it in gimp. Based on what I know about textures from PF:CE, mars would look amazing with the texture... pity about the limit though* Thanks for your help guys, this was only a proof of concept for up-scaling - it turns out amazing *this isn't changeable right? Not that there's much need though
  9. I apologize for not updating this as frequently as I have in the past. All my projects have been on hold because of how busy I am with school as well as no feasible projects because x64 seems to have broken PF (pf + Star Systems doesn't work in 64bit) and Kittoptech(broken in 64bit). However, as a special treat and since PF works in 64bit if there are no other planet mods... How would you guys like me to do a full HD expansion (same concept as the floorite one but higher definition and all of them.)?
  10. Minor curiosity, is the 8 megapixels by 4 megapixels the maximum texture resolution either KSP or RSS can handle? As I was to lazy to get my PF files I used RSS textures but the output log claimed the width and height was to big. I wouldn't mind if it is, I just want to make sure scaling it up didn't break the texture
  11. I didn't realize you made a new thread You didn't mention it in the PF CE thread. It looks great so far I am glad planets are getting the justice they deserve again Also... As long as the cfg system is simple enough, I personally think it might be slightly better suited for something like this. The reason I think this is that you are unlikely to get tons of low quality planets because the people that make the planets have to be slightly more invested. Either way... good luck

  13. The 4 necessary textures from ce themselves were only a few mb each planet even with high res images. If he can make the transition between textures and actual planets more efficient, it would be much less.. Also someone is looking for a collaborator over on ce if you're interested, oven

I believe that KCreator is working on an instantiate button in his KittopiaTech editor here:http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/68619-Plugin-WIP-KittopiaTech-Ingame-Terraforming-Tools-V0-174. Whether or not this is the way you want to do it, it's already an inbuilt editor, with an ability to clone planets. While this is not Aftokinito's vision, it would be a great start for replacing planet factory should that ever become necessary. (Also as a side note, it is somewhat backwards compatible... it should be possible to not break saves from PF+all previous planets could be brought across to the new format so that all the packs out there don't all need completely rebuilding...)
  15. My current pack that I sent in has one habitable terrestrial planet, how I imaged earth to be like before more than unicellular life evolved. And I imagined Emralled to be a really cold laythe-like world, though if that doesn't fit around that type of star I might kill sa-fire from it and go from scratch For the third gas giant. (I haven't taken a course or anything on planetary formation around other stars...I'll go with credible ideas you guys have for me to work with)
  16. Ok my planets are now ready. I too am having some incompatabilities with the stars+ PF. So for now all the planets that I know work 100% independently with no glitches are orbiting the sun. All oven will have to do is switch Sun with Corbo in a few configs if he wants to test it. I will send him the download in a few moments. I'd like to see where this mod takes celestial modding in the future
  17. OK it's cut to 4 terrestrials and 3 gas giants. They're basically done but I can't send them till drop box syncs. Which I can't to the morning as it's a long sync time and I can't access that computer for a while to get it to hurry... Sorry
  18. Alrighty I am making Corbos then. So my plan is to make 5 terrestrial planets, and 4 Jovian planets with moons for now. Then I will see about dwarf planets

OK I can repurpose Sa-Fire as soon as I get home, I can also recycle most of my project doomsday by slashing radii into tenths Megalodon, IDK what oven wants but if we both want to add some planet's, let's take a system each if you take the one you wanted and I take the other there will be no incompatiblilities.
  20. This looks incredible I have been trying to do something similar for months (and ATM I just put a real sized version of this type of idea to store in Dropbox having given up). And I have to say that based on what I see, it is very impressive! I have to congratulate you, I didn't think it was possible to make something like this stable enough to use. Also I am getting really quick at making Pf:CE planets. If you want some example systems built to add to your stars, I can make you some quickly if you ask
  21. Unless this black body bug I observed occurs on user created planets I don't see why it must die. I think as long as it's the only mod that builds planets it will be kept alive. That said, I do wish Krag comes back even if just to give someone else the reins.
  22. Planet factory hasn't been updated since .23 (back in January). If it's in the contract system it is not because of anything Krag or any modder has done. It would be squad trying to accommodate the new planets. Therefore, I don't think they quite have their non-stock numbers quite right... Someone will probably need to alter the list with a mod...
  23. It looks like to me that both ascension and inaccessible got the "black body bug" that we had back when .23 came out. I haven't tested any user created planets, because I don't have time. Thus it would be appreciated if someone does so.
  24. I know I am not KCreator but I will try to answer. I have never had that problem with this before(though .16 was broken with the saving features...) and it is probably due to the update.
  25. Thanks for answering for me Either way, I could do that... sort of... The storms are nto possible with PF:CE however, it is with EVE, though I am not sure how to manipulate that mod. However, a planet with life that looks like kerbin is definitely possible... and if there is sufficient demand I will do it. side note I am going to remove the request for new planet ideas because it's full-ish... to at least 64 bit occurs.
