I was doing a flight to Baltimore/Washington International tonight. Weather was rough to say the least. Very low ceiling with heavy heavy rain. I was in a 737-700, and was landing runway 28. My heading was 285. Visibility was non existent until I was below 500 feet. Now, I was doing 135 kias with a ground speed of 159-165 knots, this was sketchy, it was made worse by the fact winds were 083 at 24 gusting 31. I was finding it challenging as my aircraft could not or would not capture glide slope (everything was set correctly per charts/fmc) and had to fly it manually. I was crabbing 20 to 30° off centerline with a 24 knot tail wind in heavy rain. Landed safely and got to the gate safe. Fun times! 045010042022

Well I just had a heart attack inducing scare! As you guys know I fly MSFS2020. Well right now I have logged 97 flying hours as of last night. Tonight I want to fly from SEATAC to O’Hare, a flight of about 3.5 hours. I make my flight plan, save it into the sim into my aircraft. I load the sim up and it acts like its a fresh install!!!!! As you may also know I fly a pair of 737s (700 & 800 variants) that are study level (as real as possible, 95% of the switches and systems work as if they are the real thing) which means a ton of bindings. When I loaded in everything was gone. I closed to desktop and rebooted the sim. This time everything was back to normal. I just want to fly and not have a heart attack or stroke because the kraken wanted to migrate lol. Welp off to ohare! 235210012022 002510022022

@Cloakedwand72 i just did a quick google: Adjustable Accuracy The combination of contact-free Hall effect sensors within the 16-bit aileron and elevator axis, and the adjustable spring tensioning system gives X56 an unprecedented level of sensitivity and control at the stick. @Dafni deadzone wiggle on MY set up with the spring im using isnt too bad, few degrees of slop but I think it has more to do with spring strength. Does not affect performance as far as i can tell. Ive been in some wild dog fights and mach 1+ canyon runs in DCS with this stick @Cloakedwand72 switches feel pretty good for the most part. As to hall sensors im not sure to be honest but id think there are based off a few of the smaller thumb sticks on it, but im not 100% certain 232809302022

I just did a flight from Ted Stevens International in Anchorage Alaska to Los Angeles International in California in MSFS2020. Total flight time 5 hours 00 minutes 30 seconds. Prior to this flight the last time I tried a 3 hour + flight there was a 50/50 shot at a crash to desktop with odds getting worse for me at 4, 4.5 to 5+ hours. With Simupdate 10 it seems they have things more stable. Im exhausted from it but thrilled all the same. Oh my aircraft? 737-700 by PMDG in the Southwest livery, aircraft N268WN. Fwiw this flight would never happen with Southwest as they do not go to Anchorage. But hey, thats the fun right? 065209282022

Im flying to Atlanta right now in MSFS2020 after getting it updated and I really feel haunted by something from 12 years ago. Ok, MSFS players know we just got our new update 10. I just started updating and had a true d’oh moment. I saw the update info showing its size and space on disk. My mind slipped a few gears and tossed a few rods. I have 3/4 TB left on disk and my mind read THAT as the size of the update!! I just sat there for a solid 20 seconds before like the old beaters running trails my brain slammed into gear. I look half an inch to an inch left and see the update size. 16 or so gb. I run logitechs rhino x56 hotas. I would suggest the 56 for flight simming as it has more switches but far more importantly you can split the throttle into dual engine controls. Its a bit more pricy iirc than the 52 but its a solid hotas. 180009262022

I was taking a ride a few hours ago (2330) and was on a dark back road. Down the road ahead of me a set of headlights appeared. About 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile away. The driver as they approached were driving with their high beams on. My car has adaptive brights that auto drop from high to low when behind or approaching a car. Well this SUV coming at me didnt have them. So, I grab my light control and bring my brights up (my car had gone to low beam) to tell the driver hey youre blinding me. 10 seconds later they turn off high beams. 3-4 seconds go by and I can finally see its an SUV, whats more I see the shape of the lights and realize its a Ford Explorer. Another second passes and I see 2 things that make my heart stop. A roof mounted light bar and the unmistakable markings of a POLICE DEPARTMENT!! Yup I high beamed a COP to get him to stop blinding me. I thought I was done for. I readied myself for getting pulled over. Then? The cop just kept going! I had high beamed a cop cuz he was blinding me and he just let it go (after turning our high beams off the both of us ofc). So that happened. What an adrenaline dump! 021309252022
