He spoke with ins for a long time today. When their adjuster did the initial assessment they took pictures. Idk where the car was in terms of disassembly but they took pics. Ins either didnt care or the bodyshop had either damaged (either intentionally or accidentally if it was damaged ((which when i last saw it the glass was intact)) (((either way they lied about when/if damage happened and how/if))) ) it or idk even know. This is a question for anyone who works in an automotive bodyshop that repairs cars that were in accidents. For a bit of background before my question I was in an accident in June. Impact on my end was in the front end left of car centerline. I took a picture of my car from the left at the end of my door (door was full open and I was at the end of the door pointed at the front end) showing my own damage. Important note: in the picture you can see my drivers side wiper, the whole wiper cowling, the first third of my windshield from the A pillar to where the curve of glass goes beyond what can be seen from where I was, my whole hood. In this picture it is painfully obvious my windshield shows 0 damage. About 2 or 3 days later I went back to the body shop where it is still at to get some stuff I needed. I decided to take another picture of the car head on. This picture was taken in the EXACT SPOT the tow driver left the car. This picture shows the FULL and COMPLETELY DAMAGE FREE windshield. This picture was taken well before ANY repairs were started. Ok this brings us to yesterday 7-19-22. I was talking to my dad who is helping me deal with this all. He told me he got an itemized report (not sure if from ins or bodyshop, but likely ins) stating my windshield was replaced to the tune of nearly 700$!!!!! I had him call the body shop to ask why they replaced an UNDAMAGED windshield. He said they said it was cracked from where my hood hit the glass. Uh… no my windshield was 100% accident damage free… I think I had a chip from a rock hitting it (smaller than a glitter particle and only visible if viewed absolutely perfectly under PERFECT conditions) which was non issue. SO my question for the automotive bodyshop folks: why would the bodyshop replace an unbroken windshield and make a claim that it was damaged? Is this fraud by them? Is it possible they messed up and dropped my hood onto my windshield and are gambling I cant prove they messed up? What are my options here? Please advise me on your thoughts. Try the weather in Texas. Back some years ago (more than 15 years ago) the weather around lunch was clear skies. 10-15 minutes later a severe thunderstorm rolled in and dropped 1.5” hail so fast and so heavy it looked like odd snow. It was over in 10 minutes. Skies were clear again. Only way you knew it really happened was hail on the ground with broken branches all over. Texas weather is beyond scary in how violent it can get and how fast it can get there and often with no warning. 015207192022

Well @JoeSchmuckatelliyou could be right about short term, but if you look back at KSP over the years its engine got upgraded a time or two. If things are as grim as they are being made out to be then it will be an issue. Id still like some kind of comment by Nate or anyone on the dev team on this, if such a comment is possible. As to your “obnoxious” example as you put it, that for me would end any interest I personally have, but, given how prevalent things like VPNs are, I doubt something that extreme would happen, but, as you said, tis possible lol. 233207172022

If this as alarming as you guys make this out to be then perhaps they should IF THEY ARE ABLE (no clue if they are bound by NDAs or not) to to address such concerns. Honestly it sounds like you could be under some sort of attack, but, I am NOT a cyber security expert and can only guess based on the information you provided. I would suggest taking your phone to a repair place certified by your cellular provider for a “health” check. The restart may be coincidental but it is suspect. Id also advise running antiviral programs like malwarebytes (sp?) just incase. Good luck! 072407172022

@JoeSchmuckatelli your post reminded me of something I did recently when I returned to MSFS2020. The outskirts of my city are photogrammetry and are somewhat off. Ive lived here long enough (whole life tbh) that I know my area well. So, to get onto what I was gonna say, I grabbed one of the Textron cessnas (which ever has the glass cockpit, which i think comes in the deluxe edition, i have the premium deluxe which is how/why I can use the 787-10 lol) and flew towards my neighborhood. Most of the area looks right if a bit heavy on excess trees, like 3-4x whats here irl. Also the major AFB base near me is also just off… missing key buildings its known for. Anyway after circling my neighborhood like a demented buzzard I decided to see how well my memory worked. I decided to see if I could w/out a flight plan or maps or gps assistance fly to the coast only by following roads. Happy to say I could! Also learned how that cessna (a textron 175 iirc) and its AP work. To be fair, I envy those with simpits (homebuilt cockpits that emulate a specific cockpit) or just a good yoke and what not that are more GA/Commercial Aviation than fighter jet. Not that my X-56 rhino by logitech is a bad HOTAS (its awesome, but its not a 787/747 style setup lol). I enjoy flying the sim living out dreams of flying the real thing, and flying high altitude IFR flights in MSFS is as fun and relaxing now as it has been for more than 25 years. Well that is until w/e issue world update 9 caused or is causing the issue in my final update in the post above yours. To borrow from Scott Manley: Fly safe! 100007162022
