I'm really excited about .22 but I am getting married on Saturday..........

So, you're saying KSP is not an acceptable first-night-of-matrimony activity? Congratulations, and good luck! -
If you don't get that reference, you possibly need to see more films that came from major tv sci-fi franchises.

Somewhere along the line, I was led to believe that he was an older version of the 9th doctor. 50th anniversary should be good though.

The feature creep isn't really my concern, I tend towards the 'more features, more fun' end of the spectrum. It seems to me that the total list of features should have been available day one if they wanted to entice investors, doubly so considering the kickstarters (and that includes you) *are* the investors. Of course, I doubt you expect to see any dividends from any potential profits, so I'm not really sure investor is the right term. But again, if I was using my money to invest in any endevour I would be extremely concerned when the exact budget seems to be so hard to pin down. It's a first sign of trouble when investing IMHO. Once you have invested an amount, it is a lot easier to be convinced that an additional amount is neccessary to success. I've paid for two games in an 'alpha' state - KSP and Prison Architect, both of which were available in a playable state (at least by the time I parted with cash for them). If either dev team shut up shop, I could still consider I had gotten my moneys worth. At this point, my understanding is that Star Citizen has a ship hanger that you can walk around in, which is not enough to convince me, and I say this as a person familiar with the Wing Commander series. I'm extremely excited to see Elite Dangerous in development too, but have not helped to fund that one either. If it's playable and worthy of my time, I will pay for it when it is released. Anyway, this is not an argument against the game itself, more musing on the nature of kickstarting games itself, so I'll stop here, I may be going off-topic. Edit: I am going to watch the presentation in 7 hours though, I must admit I am curious about it at this point.

Indeed they do. Initially though, they kickstarted the thing looking for $500,000, and got $2 million. Then they went looking for $6 million, which they got. Now it seems to me that having raised ~3.5 times that amount there is no end in sight for how much the game will cost to make. This is where my confusion comes from - why does the bar keep being raised? They now have 42 times what they initially said it would take. And I get stretch goals, but they don't seem to be adding much per million at this point. I hope the game meets your expectations, I would have some frankly insane expectations about how good the game was going to be at this point. Out of interest, would you mind me asking how much you are preparing to pledge?
-
This is the game that's already raised $21 million, right? I know games cost a lot to produce, but its starting to seem a bit over the top to me.

Soylent Pink is Kerbals!

I don't disagree, I've long figured Google is the new Microsoft, albeit ostensibly 'not evil'. If that's your issue, the chromium browser is worth a mention too (http://www.chromium.org/). I'd be concerned about what malwarebytes is throwing up, but it's probably not the cause of your issue. For the sake of argument, if I'm running a keylogger on your PC, I have little interest in causing issues with your browsing. If it's happening across browsers it's unlikely to be an issue with the browser either. I'd suggest running traceroute if the problem re-occurs. Odds are, I'd reckon a router somewhere along the line is going down.
-
Now that's an MMO I want to play.
-
I don't think it is. Maybe. Kerbals are an incredibly progress-driven society. After bravely colonizing the land, they view returning to the sea as a de-evolutional step. Probably. Why do you speak forwards English?
-
What is malwarebytes finding? Also try doing a traceroute or pinging youtube and gmail. If there's a problem along the route, that should help to pin it down.
-
I'm biased, but Eris deserves a mention. She is, after all the goddess of chaos. Perfect for wobbly rockets IMHO.

There is life on Duna people! The powers that be at KSP are hiding the truth!

I've found platinum, silver, tin, and lead, but not a bit of iron. Have a crimson biome that I've found so far. The variations in the zombies is kinda cute, especially in the rain. It's one hell of an update to be sure. The week I bought Terraria, redigit announced he was done with it, so nice to finally see an update.

It's still visable above ground.
-
Yeah same. Tied up most of the loose ends, but not exactly the ending I was anticipating, close though. Would have liked to know what happened after the dust settled too.

Haven't gotten around to buying one yet, but have a few projects in mind for them - think they could make great syslog servers for a start. Kind of like the idea of using one for a piratebox as well. http://wiki.daviddarts.com/PirateBox_DIY Unfortunately I've only seen a 'kit' for one in Maplin, and at €95 for a pi, keyboard, mouse, and memorystick, that's a lot more than I'm willing to pay.

I remember seeing the drum-up for this, and it looked so amazing at the time. One of about five games I've ever bought on day of release. What a pity the released product didn't match the early demos they were showcasing. The game started off wonderfully, but was way too rushed towards the endgame, which for me just ended up being a mad dash back to the homeworld to fight off some attacker. Every. Five. Minutes. I do think they did patch the game eventually to rebalance that a bit, but I never went back to it. Twenty hours in, I was basically done. Not what I expect, or have experienced in terms of how much of my life I have sunk into Will Wright's back-catalog. I did make a Tachikoma species, so it did give me *that* at least. Excellent link, thanks for that. It'd be interesting so see how successful Will Wright could be trying to kickstart 'the spore we actually promised you'.

Gaming has been the #1 thing that forces me to keep a copy of Windows around. Considering I build my PC's myself I don't get the benefit of a 'free' OEM copy of Windows, so I had to periodically buy a copy until I persuaded the company to shell out for a technet subscription. Now Microsoft is modifying technet so you can only download trial versions of their products, which means technet is not really of much benefit to us, so it looks like I'll be back to paying for it. Which brings me to my point, the price. Windows is bloody expensive to buy retail. I'm talking like near €400 the last time I looked at buying XP Pro (I ended up getting a student copy at €120, a bit iffy considering I'm not actually a student, but better than piracy, I'm sure you'll agree). Looking at the Microsoft store, the upgrade price for 8 Pro is €279. Think of all the games you could buy for that cash.

Most of the obvious ones have been covered. Did I miss Bill Bailey? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28NkPWGdaNg Jack Dee is probably worth a look, used to love his deadpan humor - 'thanks for the applause, you weren't to know I've a splitting headache'. Keith Farnan (I actually used to work with this guy)

Building a New Universe - KSP Discussion at Unite 2013

Saw it posted on reddit a few days back. Very interesting indeed, always nice to get a glimpse under the hood! -
Really in an age of proxies, TOR and whatnot, it's nigh-on impossible to say where someone is based on the IP address alone. I had a popup asking for my authorization shortly after the forums came back up, I assume this is what we're talking about? Anyone that uses the same username/password combinations on other sites might want to change their passwords if they happened to fill in that form. Oh, and congrats on getting the forums back up btw, was much missed in these parts.

Elite Dangerous (It's looking rather good, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.) Terraria 1.2 Update I'd be anticipating GTA5 more if there was any word on a PC release, there's no way I'd buy a console to play it, and Red Dead Redemption, that looked rather good too.
-
I completely, wholeheartedly agree with the OP.
-
On the contrary, I applaud your recognising that not everyone fits neatly into one box or the other. As a suggestion, perhaps edit the OP to make it clear that it is an anonymous poll. I'm sure there is a female presence on the forums, but they may be wary of outing themselves as such.
