  1. Another alternative to high wings, which can mess up your lift/COM is to put the tiny retractable wheels on the ends of the wings. Adds a bit of weight but it has saved my wings many times when hitting rough uneven ground.
  2. MechJeb has crashed me several times. I find it also gets confused if you time warp during the descent. Now I usually just manually land until my speed and altitude are low and then I click the "land somewhere" button for it to do the last little bit.
  3. Haha oops. I had this tab open on my phone when there was only one reply and forgot about it. Didn't refresh before answering
  4. Ask and you shall receive. It's called Portrait Stats. It shows their specialty, and their level overlaid on their pic. And if you hover, a popup shows up that tells you what their skills are. Scroll down on this link as there are several mods here http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/120731-1-0-x-DMagic-s-Modlets-Latest-Update-Celestial-Body-Science-Editor-v5-0-7-11-2015
  5. For Windows yes. But you can run 64bit in Linux crash-free.
  6. I think its called MapShowNavBall. It's for an older version but still works.
  7. There's a mod that does this but I forget what it's called. It's on CKAN.
  8. Would have helped, but not for the intentional clickbait...
  9. Worked for me... But with Windows 10 you can start and stop recording any time. Press Win+G and hit record. Or the direct start/stop recording keys are Win+ALT+R
  10. Nice! Yeah I recently found the docking lights too. I use the amber double flash strobes on probes, and of course the standard red/green on planes
  11. Cool stuff! Explains why the ISP is similar in atmo and in vacuum, which I didn't know. Makes sense now though. But I wonder if they should have even higher ISP when compared to bell housing engines.
  12. Game was designed to have additions like MechJeb, and in real life, astronauts and pilots use such tools. Even rocket launches are automated by computers. The astronauts aren't sitting there with a joystick manually flying them.
  13. I imagine it sounding the same as herbal, but with a K instead of H...
  14. Just looking for people's opinions. No need to overthink it. Do I think infinite fuel is cheaty? Yeah, do I do it? Yes I have. No big deal lol
  15. Exactly. If you don't care how others play, why are you on the forum? PS, the logout button is in the top right of the screen
  16. Probably 30% of what other people say, and 50% of what I say lol
  17. Yeah but the reason for rebuilding is I'm upgrading from an old version, I think it's 23.5, to 1.0.4. So lots has changed, and not all the mods and parts I used are in 1.x. So, there will be a newly built ship, I'm just trying to figure out how to maintain continuity in the storyline with a ship that looks different...
  18. These seem like the majority of answers. While I realize it's a single player game, I meant to ask because I see so many ships posted that are clipped like crazy, and I personally don't like overly clipped ships. Especially ones with engines clipped where there's 20 engines taking the space of one. I also realize that there were other similar posts, but there's plenty of new members lately, and necroposting is against the rules I'm all for people doing what they want, again, just curious what others think.
  19. Just curious what the general consensus is. There's different arguments I think. One is that it's like building custom parts, however, clipping 8 fuel tanks or engines into one location is definitely cheating since their masses take the space of one. Other arguments is that is should never be done because it's just plain cheaty... Any other opinions on this?
  20. Time warp calculations still need to be fixed. I can have a solar powered mining ship that runs out of power at night. But if I time warp at a certain speed it never runs out and electricity stays full the whole time. Cheaty, and broken. I hope they fix this.
  21. Is it maybe a screen resolution thing? Because the first time I saw the colored orbit I was wondering what it was and immediately noticed the moving dots while looking at it. Maybe on lower res the dots don't show up as well?
  22. I don't see how they could make it any clearer. I mean, there's dots moving around the orbit! I for one would hate big arrows that would further clutter up screen.

    ipad

Someone else mentioned it was a toy and I agree. They're easy to use and locked down so that it's easier for kids and old people to use them. Heck I'd even take an android tablet over an iPad. At least android is more customizable and has more apps for real productivity and isn't always behind the curve. First choice is definitely a Surface Pro though. Hard to beat a full blown OS tablet.
