That's really helpful, I'll consider all of that next time I'm on. Thanks, Nao! -
Racing Rovers - Downforce Issues
NQMT replied to NQMT's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
It's not stock. Taverio's Pizza and Aerospace wheels. It has RCS but that's only to simulate KERS. I always use Docking Mode and there are no control surfaces. Also, for Taki117, I'm trying to figure out where to put the Centre of Lift, not the CoM. -
Hey all, Small question. I have made a rover that can achieve 60m/s under its own wheelpower, but I add downforce for improved cornering. Problem is, if it's too far forward, the car is too touchy, and if it's too far back, it stays straight as an arrow and is horrific in the corners. Is the CoL meant to be in the same spot as the CoM, sort of like for planes? Or is it based on where the wheels are positioned? (before anyone asks, Kerbin-only rover. 60m/s on Mun would be absurd.) Thanks in advance, everyone. Kyrian

Banned for banning someone for talking about Pokemon. It's not just a game. It's a way of life.

Yes you will. Just send a PM to everyone relevant. *me too*

Spaceplanes start from SPH Apron
NQMT replied to NQMT's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Imagine that, the hangar doors open for craft shelter too. -
I'm so excited you will never guess what just happened!
NQMT replied to 7499275's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
The only reason I can land planes is because I make them noobproof. TT Modular Multiwheels is a big help. Put wheels on the wings, the nose, the tail, impossible not to land. Without them I think Jeb would have been dead long ago. -
<meant to be an A-10 hitting the ground>

All in the title. It would be good to have, along with steerable wheels, your aircraft starting on the apron outside the SPH so then you could pick whether you want to fly towards the ocean or towards the mountains.

Reality, no. GT4, oh I've lost count. The user below me forgot struts on their station.
-
Nej. The user below me believes they have a fictional value of 'swag'.
-
Sorry. The user below me is in a relationship with a person seven months older than them.

Simulating a sway bar/anti-roll bar
NQMT replied to mangekyou-sama's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Agreed. Never angle the wheels, when I try it on my cars disaster always follows. Also I add downforce on the sides of the cars so that when one side wants to tip, the d/f from the other won't let it. -

Voting for whistlehead's Kerbaltross. Very fuel efficient, light, good to fly. Great aircraft. -

Your craft is amazing, could I possibly use it as a high-altitude reconnaisance aircraft? -
Open Source Construction Techniques for Craft Aesthetics
NQMT replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
[b9 Aesthetics/Function] Need to make a bomber, but have nowhere to put a bombardier? Well, I have the solution for you! First, take a Mk2 Lander-Can and put 2 Modular Girder segments behind it. Then get a HL Adapter and a Mk3 B9 cockpit. Next, move the adapter so that the rear facing node is in the same spot as the furthest of the two Modular Girder nodes. Finally, get that cockpit and place it on the front of the HL Adapter. Problem solved. Except that you may have two trapped Kerbals. But don't lie to yourself, that happens very often. In anything. -
This is absolutely magnificent. Thank you.

How in the world are you flying 2 aircraft at once? Please, please teach me! -

Caliber Sarn, that is beautiful. Do you have anything else? I'm intrigued. -
The Modded Craft Repository [v0.23]
NQMT replied to stupid_chris's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I present to you, the Aerospace Technology U-2SR. Is capable of going from the KSC to the second KSC and back, twice. Plus. Flaps down - K, up - I. Do NOT use the afterburner function, Engineering module is there to refuel the craft on-ground. To view the ground via the spy camera, press 5. To exit, press 6. Many mods used, will try to list them all: -B9 -Lazor System -Lazor Camera -TT Multiwheels (recommended) -Ordan's Telescopes -Sceppie's Minipack -Infernal Robotics -(possibly) TT's NeverUnload. .craft file here: http://www./?3kms3uchff7h7ee You will also need this: http://www./?p9atb181bftcr0y This adds a smaller stabilator for use on the U-2 and whatever else you so desire. Simply place the files in your B9_Aerospace/Parts/Aero_Wing_SW folder. Happy flying, Kyrian -
My U-2 inspired craft. Nowhere near stock, but looks badass. Picture quality is low due to the fact that my current computer can't handle KSP at full graphics.

We have been able to take an image of this new, shiny 'Scythe'. From a safe distance, of course. The following image was taken by Ronson Kerman. This was taken about seven seconds before the Scythe's missiles malfunctioned and everyone in a two kilometre radius was killed. The camera used was destroyed, the low-resolution image was uplinked to our communications satellite and it was quickly recovered and analysed by our experts. The craft is apparently still in heavy development. Or that's what Ronson heard.

Project is cancelled.
