  1. Race Two will open on the 25th. 14 days after Race One.
  2. Submissions are still open. By the '1x1 plate and I-Beam' rule, you need at least one of each for the base structure, then build from that with anything. Also, about the bug: if there weren't little pop-ups now and then, it wouldn't be challenging. That's the point of a challenge
  3. Thanks for that! I'll update the link soon.
  4. Everything that's in the Open Class rules is what's restricted. Everything else is open.
  5. Any jump starts over 3.5m/s are nullified laps. Also: wheel power only. [Edit] Some news for you all: 1:26 around the Race One track whilst testing my new Formula K chassis.
  6. Remember, the 'Fastest Lap' category can be entered by the new 'Open Class' which is unrestricted stock cars. The lap itself doesn't mean anything, apart from bragging rights. Also to note, all penalties are one second. If you jump start, +1s. If you cut a corner, +1s.
  7. The lap record isn't a race lap. I did the fastest lap so I could have bragging rights about being quick. It doesn't count to points, just another place where I can squash my name into.
  8. Done in the Kyrian Racing Laboratories EX-01.
  9. burnoutforzai, if competitors have the same laptime, the person who set it first will be highest, second will be second highest etc. Check out the 1997 European Grand Prix for why I do this.
  10. Things to note: - make your rear axle wider - give your car one more click of front wing angle. Other than that, I think that's not bad. Looks a teeny bit heavy, maybe try running 15-20 RCS?
  11. Tip: a forward CoL (or Centre of Downforce actually) gives a well-handling car, rearward gives a very stable car. Find a good cross between the two.
  12. By 'a bigger window' I meant have more time for new competitors to enter. Also, thanks for the weight rule change, this'll make it a lot simpler. I may enter this, stay tuned.
  13. mrmcp1, screenshots are required if this is to be a re-attempt.
  14. This happened in testing, my car was too light and grippy and when you go up something, you just flip and flip and flip. The reason why I used the KSC as my race track. They're open for a maximum of twenty-one days, with some exceptions. Most normal cutoffs are two weeks but I do hold the door open for later people. Agreed. A checkpointed race works a lot better with offroad than circuits do. It's a great idea for a challenge, but I (and assumedly The_Rocketeer) think you should: - Only have a minimum weight, no maximum - Have a bigger window for competitors - Change the format of the race itself to a point-to-point dash. Just suggestions. I'd like to hear what you think, RussaX. If you agree or disagree with things, let me know.
  15. There's already Formula K, which is rover circuit racing. We use PersistentTrails instead of multiplayer for ease of entry, due to there being no time-zone limits to turn-based races. If that's interesting, check the thread in my signature out. If not, I do see the fun in wheel-to-wheel rover racing, however I don't think there'd be big fields. There are many time-zone problems that arise with playing together in Minecraft which would carry over to this. Also: plugins/mods for cars are Tweakable Wheels, Wheel Telemetry and Rover Wheel Sounds. Anyway, awesome idea, and if the earth were flat I'd absolutely love it.
  16. Slave was one, I believe. What was the name of China's Daedalus-class starship in the Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis series?
  17. Just set a lap of 1:31 with this car. New unofficial lap record!
  18. Do note that one re-attempt is allowed per competitor.
  19. No need to save your track file, or the original one. Just post a screenshot of your route. randomness5555: don't stop the recording, just take your start screenie, do the lap, take the end screenie, then drive around the flagpole or something to take a good shot of the route. Starwhip: try more front aero, and maybe try removing the wings on the side. They don't seem to be doing much good.
  20. No. It's harder to use the Infiglide bug now and so it's not required.
  21. Wanderfound, there's an arrow there in the Race One picture.
  22. Start-Finish lines are ALWAYS marked somewhere in the world. Usually walkways. (In short, yes.)
