The Ferrari Dino 246 GTS is my favorite car. Unusually for a Ferrari it looks better in yellow than red.

PorkWorks dev thread [Habitat Pack] [SpaceplanePlus]
mrmcp1 replied to Porkjet's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Wow that docking port looks so cool. It is just what this pack needs. Soon I will be able to make good looking SSTO's that are actually functional. -
This is a brilliant idea that really needs to be implemented. It will help to make EVA's safer and in some respects more realistic. It could be made better by making it so that the rope could be attached to different points on the ship, for example if you are on a space station you could go some way along then you could attach the rope to another module just like real astronauts do. In the mean time if you want something similar you could always use Kerbal Attachment System. Once again this is a great idea.

I docked for the first in Kerbin orbit. It may not look like much but it means a lot to me. Weirdly I have docked once before but it was in mun orbit. Next I will launch my manned mission to Duna.

Updating KSP without deleting your designs
mrmcp1 replied to Falcon H's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Hi I believe that all you have to do is to install KSP 23.5 and then copy and paste all of your craft files and sub- assemblies into your saves folder. As far as I am aware unless you have any mods the craft files should still be compatible. -
[WIP] CoffeeIndustries Plane Parts - Jetliner and cargo planes
mrmcp1 replied to CoffeeSE's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
I know that you weren't planning on releasing the 2.5 meter cargo fuselage and ramp but could you please release them. I like using the stock parts to build planes but it would be useful to have a cargo ramp. Thanks -
Really pleases to see an update for this I can now build basses with the flathab. All of your parts are brilliant and I hope more updates will follow.

I'm not sure what other craft you talking about with regards to the Aeris 4B as the original stock craft is called the Aeris 4A and their have been know more planes submitted with that name so I am not sure what you mean. -

Here is my entry the Aeris 4B it is only a simple design but it does the job. It has a single rapier for ease of use and only two intakes. Flight profile: At around 40m/s you can take off Then pitch up to 45- 50 degrees At 10,000m go to 35- 40 degrees At 23,000 try to gain more velocity At around 17,000m/s your engine should go closed cycle when it does press 2 and get your apoapse out of the atmosphere Action groups: 1. Toggle engine 2. Toggle intakes 3. Switch rapier mode 4. Toggle ladder 5. Toggle docking port Download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kfit4s3zv4hoaaf/Aeris%204B.craft I hope it is up to standards -
Duna mission structural failure
mrmcp1 replied to mrmcp1's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thank you all for all of your suggestions I will follow the advice and move the RCS tank and replace the docking port with a decoupler to make it more stable. I will also alter the launcher. Thanks for the help now to Duna... -
Duna mission structural failure
mrmcp1 replied to mrmcp1's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thanks for the quick reply I will try that tomorrow but some of the struts on the girders go to about half way up the orange tank. I hope your idea will work. Thanks again -
Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me work out how to stop the the launcher for the drive section for my duna mission suffering a structural failure. About 2 and a half minutes into launch I usally siffer a structural failier between the top orange tank and the large RCS tank. I have strutted them togeather but it has not solved the proble. I was wondering if there is a solution other then the kerbal joint reinforce ment mod. Thanks in advance. Download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nztokomhwoqkuy8/Duna%20drive%20launcher.craft Hope you can help.

PorkWorks dev thread [Habitat Pack] [SpaceplanePlus]
mrmcp1 replied to Porkjet's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Great looking parts and I have another idea which is an inflatable compartment for the 3 man crew carrying part. It would be like the original part but you can click inflate and an inflatable part will come out the bottom all the way to the floor which would make access easier and give more space. Again great parts and go at your own pace in making them and this is just a suggestion. -

I love the idea of a mk2 parts pack and if its anything like your current parts it would be brilliant. Also what about a larger mk2 part that could carry a 1.25 metre fuel tank. -

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post but how and where do you install the file to make the Kerbonov Kn-2 Cockpit Module have the MFD screens from Raster prop monitor. -
Presenting my newest shuttle, the Horrocks class. Its a very small 1 person craft capable of a Minmus roundtrip with fuel to spare. It can take off and land vertically as well as flying horizontally. It has 4 engines: a basic jet, a tourbojet, a nuclear engine and 2 small vtol engines. Its called the Horrocks class after an astronomer called Jeremiah Horrocks who was the first person to demonstrate that the moon orbited the earth elliptically. Key bindings: 1. Basic jet (vtol engine) 2. Turbojet 3. Toggle air intakes 4. Nuclear engine 5. Non atmospheric vtol engine. Flight profile: 1. Press 1 and 2 and throttle up untill you reach 60m/s or so. 2. Pitch up to 40- 50 degrees and press 1. 3 At 26,000m pitch down to between 0- 30 degrees to gain speed. 4. At about 47,000m you should flame out when you do press 2 and 3 and reduce throttle. Press 4 to activate the Lv-n engine. 5. Get a circular orbit. 6. Flight profile including Minmus trip is in the Imgur album. Download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zyr7qsaczond4yc/Mrmcp1%20Horrocks%20Type%201a%20shuttle.craft Any comments or criticism will be appreciated. Hope you like it.

Here is my new shuttle craft the Newton II. It is capable of undocking from a space station landing and getting back into orbit whilst carrying 3 crew members. I can take off vertically on both airless and atmospheric worlds as well horizontal flight. It is a relitivly small but very powerfull and capable ship. Here is an imgur album of it completing the SSI certification run. Here is the flight profile and keybindings for the craft: 1. Press 1 and 2 until you reach 80m/s 2. Then press 1 to disengage the basic jet engine 3. Now put your nose up to 50 degrees until 26,000m 4. Flatten out to gain speed 5. You should only need to stay between 0 and 20 degrees to maintain altitude 6. You should be able to get up to about 2000 - 2100m/s before the engines go closed cycle 7. Watch the rapier engines when they go to closed cycle press 3 and 5 and try to get to 70km 8. Press 2 once 70km is reached to deactivate the Rapiers 9. Circularize orbit to about 70x 70km using the Lv-n engine. 10. The shuttle is capable of refueling at 120km landing at KSC and getting back to a 120km orbit. Make sure once you land to put the rapiers into automatic mode. 1. Basic Jet 2. Rapiers 3. Intakes 4. Switch Rapier mode 5. LV- N 6. Non atmospheric Vtol engine 7. Retract/ Extend Ladders 8. Undock with the Universal docking port. I hope you enjoy the craft and here is the downloadd link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/uiydv3f0ogbmbyb/SSI%20Newton%20II%20%28Type-3%20Shuttlecraft%29.craft Any comments would be appreciated and I hope you enjoy the craft.

The Newton Shuttle is a shuttle craft designed to carry 3 Kerbals to a space station in a 120km orbit to then be refueled land at KSC then dock again with a station at 120km. The Newton is a relatively small craft but is very capable it can take of vertically and land the same way or land like a true plane. Here is an Imigur Album of the Newton completing the Shuttlecraft Systems Inc certification run which is stated above. The flight profile goes as follows: 1. You should be able to get up to about 1900m/s before the engines go closed cycle 7. Watch engines when they go to closed cycle press 3 and 5 and try to get to 70km 8. Press 2 once 70km is reached to deactivate the Rapiers 9. Circularize orbit to about 70x 70km 10. The shuttle is capable of refueling at 120km landing at KSC and getting back to a 120km orbit. Make sure once you land to put the rapiers into automatic mode. 1. Basic Jet 2. Rapiers 3. Intakes 4. Switch Rapier mode 5. LV- N 6. Non atmospheric Vtol engine Warning: Do not lower the landing gear when landed as it will result in Rapid Unplanned Disassembly. Here is the download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0wcehr59nw4oh85/Newton%20Class.craft Hope you enjoy the shuttle and any comments or criticism will be greatly appreciated.
