  1. First of all this is a great set of parts and thanks for making them. There is just one small problem with the fuselage VTOL engine, it produces thrust when it is not in hover mode which seems odd given that there is no outlet for the thrust to go through. I don't know if this was your intention or not. Thanks again, looking forward to seeing more parts.
  2. I am having the same issue Also thanks for the update, its nice to have this mod updated
  3. Planck Class Air Launch System This is my two stage to orbit air launch system. This is a small plane that is based on the Pegasus air launch system and is capable of sending small probes and even manned missions to orbit (easily 800dv once in orbit) Without the payload the plane flies very well and is exceptionally manoeuvrable despite the offset thrust. The plane seems to be able to get anything with a decent thrust to weight ratio into orbit and I have never failed to get a payload into orbit. The craft comes with a sample payload which is a small scanning probe with 1200dv once into orbit. Assent profile: Take off at around 50m/s and pitch up to 45 degrees at half throttle At 14,000n pitch down to 20 degrees and gain speed, at around 25,000 you can release the payload Once you switch to the payload gain altitude then flatten out when you have an apoapse of 60,000m Pressing one will activate the ladder and pressing the breaks deploys flaps which are useful to help you slow down If you do want to use my craft and change the payload you will have to reset the route part as the cockpit then change the payload and change the route part to the payload probe. One the payload you will need to mount small fins on the back an two sepratron in front of the centre of mass with 0.8 units of fuel. You have to do this so you don't drain the payload fuel. Sadly due to physics range issues unless you have some kind of mod the plane is destroyed when flying .the payload Download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sa59qjgbrxkxs9r/Planck%20class%20air%20launch%20system.craft?dl=0 Thanks for looking
  4. I have been experimenting with a rocket launched from a plane recently and got it to fly quite well but I then noticed that for some reason the plane was draining the fuel from the payload first which meant when I was ready to release the payload it had very little fuel left. I have tried rebuilding the payload, changing the separater for a decoupler and a docking port, altering the fuel lines, exchanging the payload for a fuel tank and even building an entirely new plane but nothing has made any difference. Has anyone got any suggestion on how to get the plane to work without using the fuel from the payload. Here is the craft file if you want it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5vqr25x2lo8gse2/Air%20launch%201_1.craft?dl=0 Thanks for your help
  5. Thanks for the quote (good to know I hadn't imagined it)
  6. My internet has been down since the new update so I might have missed something but I was under the impression that the 1.0 update was supposed to include a delta V indicator and some kind of system to help build aircraft but I cant find any mention of them in the change log. If they are in game how do I access them? Sorry if this has already been answered.
  7. This looks good, it will be good to have more options for rovers. Your ideas for future parts sound good and I will be looking forward to seeing more, I am particularly looking forward to seeing the airlock. Just to let you know there is another rover mod in a similar shape to yours which may be useful to you: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/86695-0-90-USI-Exploration-Pack-Small-parts-big-adventure%21-v-0-3-1-2014-12-24 but its nice to have some enclosed rover parts like yours. Not only do they look like they can be used for rovers but they look like they could be used for bases on other planets and moons. Thanks for developing this.
  8. Looks brilliant, a huge improvement of what I believe was already one of the best mods available. Thanks for making this.
  9. Looks great, one of my favourite science fiction spacecraft. I am amazed it looks so good yet is so functional.
  10. Its nice to see a very well designed star trek ship, great work.
  11. Looks great as all of your craft do. I really like your recreations of space shuttle type vehicles that never flew. Thanks for showing it.
  12. I think that new stock crafts should be very basic e.g. enough to get to a decent orbit but I think they should be designed so that a new player can improve them. I think that if you have a prebuilt space shuttle it might take some of the fun away from the player (they may think that if one is already built there is no point in them making one). An example of what I mean is that they could make a simple orbit rocket that the player could improve by adding boosters or docking capability. I think that the ships should teach the players somthing but not teach them everything so they can feel a sense of achievement in making the ship better.
  13. This is great, its so detailed yet so small. Its got to be one of the best spacecraft I have ever seen. If I may ask what is the part count? I would give you some rep but it appears you have made so many cool things that I need to spread it around first. Thanks for showing us this.
  14. This is the only ship I have connection for It was an SSTO I made which the SP+ update broke. I then rebuilt it from the ground up as an SSTO. Later I changed it again to a atmosphere only science plane with rover that can get in and out of the cargo bay. The old and broken version of it is in my signature. Its called the White Star II (can anyone name the science fiction series reference) and its my favorite ship.
  15. Yes there in even an entire thread dedicated to them: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/63045-Shuttle-thread There are lots of others floating around on the spacecraft exchange.
  16. I have rebuilt these expect a new thread shortly. Unfortunately rebuilding them has led to a large drop in performance.
  17. If possible could you upload a picture of the plane in question (with the center of mass and lift indicators). Also if you were to launch the plane again will the ailerons work normally at least on the runway if they do I think the problem could lie with a changing center of mass. I think they if they are in front of the center of mass they will work normally but when you have used up some fuel they may be behind the center of mass so will stop working properly. I may well be wrong and it could be a bug.
  18. When you are turning are you pressing A and D? This will yaw the plane but it is difficult to turn this way, try rolling the plane (Q and E) and the pitching up it should help you turn better. (If you are already doing this then to turn better add more control surfaces or reaction wheels.
  19. I am not sure if it will work but try returning to the space center clicking on the astronaut complex and then clicking the assigned tab. It should tell you who is on a vessle and then if they are an engineer or something else.
  20. I believe alt turning off surface attachment was only added in the 0.24 update a few months ago
  21. In the video the parts are trying to attach to the surface of the other parts, try pressing the alt key as it will turn surface attachment off and will only attach the parts to the green node. Also you need to have the parts lined up in the same direction to make it easier.
